Journalist Paul Tough did an investigative article that made it to the Cover of the New York Times questioning ADHD, saying that you did not have to be a Scientologist to acknowledge that there are some legitimate questions about A.D.H.D..

The diagnosis of ADD/ADHD was created with the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (The DSM), wherein a group of 10 Psychologists and Psychiatrists literally VOTE to see whether or not to add a mental diagnosis into this “official” book. The DSM is used to diagnose and then drug and bill to insurance companies very hard dangerous drugs such as Lithium, Prozac, Ritalin, Effexor XR, Xanax, and other usual culprits. These drugs LITERALLY have warnings on them that tell you that they can MAKE A PERSON KILL ANOTHER PERSON (Homicide), increase tendency to suicide and other terrible effects. So WHY are there so many people on them today?
The media machine for these drugs is heavy. The sales of JUST anti-depressants is estimated at over $18 Billion yearly. That is A LOT. It takes a lot of promotional dollars, lobbying, selling to doctors to prescribe to patients (See documentary Marketing of Madness). Doctors get huge kickbacks for prescribing meds.
Scientologists stand for proper mental health where the patient’s sanity is actually improved. There’s no reason to drug someone and drown them in chemical traps, when that will NOT solve the issues they are having in their life, only try to make them forget. With spiritual counseling, you can find the real reasons that you are feeling down and be able to change your life so you aren’t being affected by these things.
