There is a prominent Church of Scientology in Boston located at 1105 Commonwealth Ave., Suite 202, Boston, MA 02215. This is not to be confused with The first Church of Christ, Scientist; founded by Mary Baker Eddy in Boston.
The Church of Scientology was founded by L. Ron Hubbard in 1954 first in Los Angeles, and now all across the globe. The “Scien” in Scientology does not represent the word “Science”, it comes from scio which means knowledge in Latin and logos which means the study of, it is the study of knowledge, or knowing how to know.
