[00:00:00] Aaron: All right, today we’re gonna talk about drugs, we’re gonna talk about fentanyl, we’re gonna talk about joints, we’re gonna talk about the grass, all that stuff, right?
[00:00:09] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:00:09] Aaron: And, uh, you know, I, I find it very surprising the amount of people
[00:00:15] Brad: Yeah.
[00:00:16] Aaron: That are doing cocaine, bro. I just have to say, I just wanna open with that because for some reason, I dunno, when I was like growing up, it was like, dude, it was like such a huge thing, like a big problem.
[00:00:26] Aaron: And then I guess I just slowly saw it. I don’t know. It, it, it’s, yeah. Kind of common.
[00:00:33] Brad: Well, dude,
[00:00:34] Aaron: how, how did that happen, bro?
[00:00:35] Brad: Well, I mean, Wolf of Wall Street definitely helped. Mm. Like there’s, if you look at it, there’s a series of movies where there’s like a main character who does cocaine and everything actually kind of works out fine.
[00:00:51] Brad: Mm. Like even though they show, like even if you look at Wolf of Wall Street. It’s like his life goes to shit. And he is like, has, have you seen Wolf of Wall Street?
[00:00:58] Aaron: I haven’t.
[00:00:59] Brad: Oh,
[00:00:59] Aaron: no. [00:01:00]
[00:01:00] Brad: Okay. I haven’t. It’s okay. Well, for anybody who’s seen it, it’s okay, but it’s okay. There’s a scene where he has a couch pillow that has a bag of cocaine.
[00:01:04] Brad: It’s probably like two pounds of cocaine in it. Yeah. And he rips it. He’s like freaking out. He like, gut takes a knife, cuts it open, and he just starts like, like, like snorting cocaine on the table. And obviously that’s when his life is like going to total shit. Mm. But even after that, it’s like, it’s actually not over.
[00:01:19] Brad: He like then comes back.
[00:01:20] Aaron: So, so, so he’s going down, he takes, is that the, it’s not the first time he’s doing cocaine?
[00:01:24] Brad: No.
[00:01:24] Aaron: Okay, so he is just in there all the time.
[00:01:26] Brad: No, and,
[00:01:26] Aaron: but he makes a comeback after being mm-hmm. Fully, fully drugged down everything.
[00:01:30] Brad: Yeah, but he does. I don’t, he doesn’t actually, I mean, I don’t know Jordan Belfort’s personal life thing, but my impression is that the whole drugs and alcohol thing hasn’t been totally kicked just based on what I see on his Instagram.
[00:01:39] Brad: Right,
[00:01:40] Aaron: right,
[00:01:40] Brad: right. I haven’t looked at him for a couple years, but when I did look at his Instagram, I was like, oh, he’s probably still kind of doing some of the same stuff as before. But there’s a lot of movies where it’s like, oh, do a little cocaine. It’s not a big deal, da da da. I mean, it’s just been like super normalized.
[00:01:56] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:01:56] Brad: Like it’s been made super normal.
[00:01:57] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:01:59] Brad: And there’s
[00:01:59] Aaron: like [00:02:00] the whole Scarface thing.
[00:02:01] Brad: Yeah, yeah. There’s a Scarface thing, of course. But like, like I’ll, I’ll give you an example.
[00:02:05] Aaron: Maybe I haven’t done any of that stuff ’cause I’ve never seen Scarface or Wolfville Wall Street. So I’ve, I’ve just, I’ve just, I’ve avoided, I dunno if that’s good.
[00:02:12] Aaron: You’re avoiding the bad influences. It, I mean, that’s not why, but have you done cocaine?
[00:02:18] Brad: Why does, no, I haven’t actually.
[00:02:19] Aaron: You have nothing
[00:02:19] Brad: Good. Yeah, so I’ve, I mean, I’ll, I’ll be open about it. So I’ve, I’ve smoked weed, tried mushrooms, and I’ve done, this was like all a decade ago,
[00:02:28] Aaron: right?
[00:02:29] Brad: Uh, and then, um, uh, that’s kind of, I mean, I, I drank like a whole bottle of cough syrup.
[00:02:36] Aaron: Oh yeah. Okay. You were talking
[00:02:37] Brad: about, and that was like, you know,
[00:02:38] Aaron: okay, fine.
[00:02:39] Brad: It had a, like a slight effect.
[00:02:41] Aaron: Okay. I’m
[00:02:42] Brad: trying to think of this. That’s, that was actually it. Okay. I haven’t done a lot of drugs, but, but my experience with them was, uh. I don’t, I, I feel like I got very lucky.
[00:02:50] Aaron: Mm-hmm.
[00:02:51] Brad: Because I like way, actually, way before Scientology, I had stopped all drug use.
[00:02:56] Aaron: Oh, nice.
[00:02:56] Brad: Yeah. Yeah. Like, um, I mean, I found Scientology in [00:03:00] 2021. I stopped using drugs entirely in 2012. 2011. Well, ’cause I went to a military school.
[00:03:10] Aaron: Mm. Is
[00:03:10] Brad: that when
[00:03:10] Aaron: you stopped?
[00:03:11] Brad: Yeah.
[00:03:12] Aaron: Well, that’s
[00:03:12] Brad: great. Yeah, because I started my senior year of high school. That’s that’s
[00:03:14] Aaron: a great thing.
[00:03:15] Brad: Yeah. It actually was, it was a forcing function.
[00:03:17] Brad: Wow. And, you know, everybody knows you come in the first day piss test. That’s like literally, actually no, it’s day two.
[00:03:22] Aaron: Okay.
[00:03:22] Brad: You get up early in the morning, you, you do the drug test. It’s, it’s known. Everybody knows it’s coming. So it’s like you got, if you’re doing anything, you gotta be clean for like a more than a month beforehand.
[00:03:33] Brad: I was like three months beforehand, like to like nothing. You know?
[00:03:35] Aaron: Mm-hmm.
[00:03:36] Brad: Yeah. And it was mostly, it was mostly smoking weed. Yeah. At the time, like, yeah. And we can, we can go into
[00:03:43] Aaron: yeah. Know, so
[00:03:43] Brad: how that started.
[00:03:44] Aaron: So, but I think it’s quite interesting that you had a catalyst to stop. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Which was, you start, you’re gonna go for a new life.
[00:03:52] Brad: Yeah.
[00:03:52] Aaron: You’re going into the military, you’re gonna learn stuff. You know, what was your plan with that? Like, what was your career path?
[00:03:58] Brad: Well, I mean, my, [00:04:00] I, I wanted to, I honestly, I actually wanted to do like. The, the special forces thing.
[00:04:04] Aaron: Okay.
[00:04:05] Brad: Yeah. So like I, I went into, I, I did West Point, which is a four year military thing, finished there, went into the, the infantry branch, which is kinda like boots on the ground where you’re like, you know, you stay out in the woods for like weeks at a time and stuff.
[00:04:18] Brad: Uh, and so like I did ranger school and stuff like that, that the career path was, Hey, I want to go be like special forces. Mm-hmm. Be, you know, with a small group of guys like up in the mountains of Afghanistan and having to like sn like
[00:04:29] Aaron: yeah.
[00:04:29] Brad: Hide behind goats and whatever.
[00:04:30] Aaron: Yeah. Yeah.
[00:04:32] Brad: Didn’t, didn’t, didn’t end up that way.
[00:04:33] Brad: Which, which honestly, I’m happy it didn’t. Sure. But I was going down.
[00:04:37] Aaron: But, but you’re like, Hey, I’m gonna be a better version of myself.
[00:04:41] Brad: Totally.
[00:04:41] Aaron: I’m going to be a badass.
[00:04:43] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:04:44] Aaron: And
[00:04:45] Brad: that wasn’t
[00:04:45] Aaron: possible in order to be in that training. It’s not an option.
[00:04:48] Brad: Yeah.
[00:04:48] Aaron: If you’re gonna smoke or do any type of drug mm-hmm.
[00:04:51] Aaron: I mean, you can’t ’cause you’re being tested.
[00:04:52] Brad: Yeah. And here’s the thing is like your, uh, decision making has to be really good.
[00:04:58] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:04:58] Brad: Like your ability to assess [00:05:00] a situation and come to a decision, that’s the whole thing that gets pushed. Mm-hmm. In, in the military. And it actually is like, the thing which makes a military unit either succeed or fail mm-hmm.
[00:05:08] Brad: Is the ability to timely make decisions and just carry them out with just extreme levels of. Violence, frankly. Yeah. It’s like, it’s literally like attack speed.
[00:05:18] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:05:18] Brad: You know? And, uh, drugs slow you down. Yep. Can’t make decisions. You question yourself. It’s like all of that stuff, all that mental acuity.
[00:05:26] Brad: What I was gonna say, actually, before I was thinking of literally, I was thinking back to, uh, the first time that I ever smoked weed.
[00:05:31] Aaron: Okay.
[00:05:32] Brad: Yeah. Tell
[00:05:32] Aaron: tell me about that.
[00:05:32] Brad: Yeah. I was on, well, I was on, I’ll tell you about the day after. ’cause the time when I smoked weed, it was like, ah, whatever something’s happening, da da, da.
[00:05:39] Brad: It was like, it was interesting,
[00:05:41] Aaron: but, but first, how did you get access? Like a buddy my
[00:05:44] Brad: Yeah.
[00:05:45] Aaron: Offered you, they’re like, ah, you wanna smoke? It’s not like you went and said, Hey, I want to try We or, so someone offered it to you or what?
[00:05:50] Brad: Yeah, it was, I did actually want to try it. ’cause I, I was curious about it.
[00:05:54] Brad: Sure, sure. I’m a curious guy. What can I say? You know, it goes all like, goes all over the place when you’re dispersed. But then Yeah, [00:06:00] my buddy was like, Hey, do you wanna come smoke weed?
[00:06:02] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:06:02] Brad: It was like on a Saturday or something. Okay. Like senior year of high school. And I had already like handled my, I’d already gotten admitted to the college I wanted to go to.
[00:06:08] Brad: I was like. On cruise control colds. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was cruising like all the, so anyways, I, I go and, uh, we smoke weed and it’s on like a Saturday. Then the next, no, it must have been on a Sunday. ’cause then the next Monday I go to swim practice after school. And I’m noticing, I’m like, usually I’m like pretty like hard worker at swim practice.
[00:06:27] Brad: And I loved my, my competitive swim team. Like it was what, that was like my joy in life in high school. Mm. And you swam too, didn’t you?
[00:06:34] Aaron: I mean,
[00:06:34] Brad: very little
[00:06:35] Aaron: bit. I’ve done like a, like a sprint triathlon.
[00:06:37] Brad: Okay, fine.
[00:06:38] Aaron: Couple ’em.
[00:06:38] Brad: Okay, good. So, uh, anyhow, I got to swim practice and I was like, man, I don’t really wanna work today.
[00:06:45] Brad: And I, and I saw myself have that thought and I was like, oh no, that’s not gonna work. Because I knew, I was like, I’m about to go to West Point. I’m gonna do the Army thing. I’m gonna get destroyed if I don’t. Have the will to work. And I was also like, I knew I was so grooved in that [00:07:00] I, I knew it felt good at the end of like a two hour workout.
[00:07:02] Brad: I was like, man, I’m gonna feel like I didn’t think about it. So I just knew like, I’ll feel good. Mm-hmm. And I’ll feel so good at the end of the workout because, you know, you get the endorsements in my Sure, sure, sure. You know, for movement, the body’s made to move. But I felt that like, oh, I don’t really wanna do anything.
[00:07:15] Brad: And I was like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Like literally the font scared me.
[00:07:18] Aaron: But then, okay, it scared you, but then you didn’t stop right away. Or you did,
[00:07:20] Brad: I didn’t stop right away.
[00:07:21] Aaron: Right.
[00:07:21] Brad: No, I didn’t stop right away.
[00:07:23] Aaron: So you see the danger, but you’re like,
[00:07:24] Brad: yeah,
[00:07:24] this.
[00:07:26] Brad: Yeah, I guess it, it was like I knew that I would have to stop eventually.
[00:07:29] Aaron: Okay.
[00:07:30] Brad: Yeah. And, and my excuse to myself was, Hey, I can’t go past this certain time because the military thing is happening, so I’m not gonna be able to continue past that time.
[00:07:40] Aaron: So time, so let me, let me like, take advantage.
[00:07:42] Brad: Let me like, enjoy it while I can. Was kind like the concept. Yeah. Yeah. And I didn’t really enjoy it that much though.
[00:07:47] Brad: Right. To be honest. Like it caused, uh, I mean, in my, in my dating life, like I literally broke up with a great girlfriend to go date. A different girl. Well, I wound up marrying, but uh, fir first girl was way [00:08:00] better, to be honest. And I got confused. I got, yeah, I got confused ’cause I started smoking weed. Dude, drugs confused the shit.
[00:08:05] Brad: Wait, hold
[00:08:05] Aaron: that. Let me just let, let me just, okay. You were the girl.
[00:08:09] Brad: Yeah.
[00:08:10] Aaron: You started smoking pot. You left her.
[00:08:11] Brad: Yeah.
[00:08:11] Aaron: Then you went to another,
[00:08:12] Brad: she was not involved in any of the pot smoking. She was very
[00:08:14] Aaron: I got that. I got that.
[00:08:15] Brad: Yeah.
[00:08:15] Aaron: Then you went to another girl.
[00:08:16] Mm-hmm.
[00:08:17] Aaron: And which of these two you
[00:08:18] Brad: married and I smoked?
[00:08:19] Brad: The girl that I smoked weed with.
[00:08:21] Aaron: But you said the other girl was way better. You said the new girl’s way better.
[00:08:23] Brad: No, no, no. The old girl is way better. What? I’m not just saying that from like, like I haven’t talked to her in like a decade or something, but I’m like,
[00:08:29] Aaron: bro,
[00:08:30] Brad: just looking back at it, I reflected on this many times, trust me.
[00:08:32] Aaron: Okay, but you’re talking about the person back then at that point?
[00:08:34] Brad: Yeah.
[00:08:35] Aaron: Okay.
[00:08:35] Brad: Yeah.
[00:08:36] Aaron: Right. So in theory,
[00:08:37] Brad: but in all ways,
[00:08:37] Aaron: a person who’s not smoking
[00:08:39] Brad: virtual
[00:08:39] Aaron: in all way issues, I got at that moment. At that moment in the hallway, bro. Okay, good. You do know your wife might listen to this, right?
[00:08:47] Brad: No, I’m sorry. This is my first wife, not my current.
[00:08:50] Aaron: Oh,
[00:08:50] Brad: oh, no, no, no, no, no. My current wife, no, no, neither. I was
[00:08:53] Aaron: like, dude, I’m
[00:08:54] Brad: trying to get you to backtrack
[00:08:55] Aaron: on the thing. I’m like, dude, okay. Your first
[00:08:58] Brad: wife? No, no. My, yeah, so I was, [00:09:00] I was married, I got divorced, and then I met my current wife. That was like, that was like say eight. That was like nine years ago.
[00:09:07] Brad: I met my current wife. This we’re talking about like ancient history here. I got it. This is like 15 years ago.
[00:09:12] Aaron: Okay. Okay.
[00:09:12] Brad: No, so the girl that I was dating in my senior year of high school was great. Okay. It was this girl, Samantha, and then I broke up with her to date this girl Demi, who I wound up marrying.
[00:09:19] Brad: Right,
[00:09:19] Aaron: right, right.
[00:09:20] Brad: Semantic in always respect. Yeah. Ashley, uh, uh, no offense to well, whatever. They can take offense. They don’t hold a candle to, to my current wife.
[00:09:28] Aaron: Okay.
[00:09:28] Brad: Good bye.
[00:09:29] Aaron: Thank
[00:09:29] Brad: you. Yeah.
[00:09:29] Aaron: Thank you.
[00:09:30] Brad: Thank you. Of course. Yeah, more.
[00:09:32] Aaron: I’m just making sure I
[00:09:33] Brad: got
[00:09:33] Aaron: what you were saying. Thank
[00:09:34] Brad: you. You know what I mean?
[00:09:34] Brad: Okay. Thank you for clarifying. ’cause that might’ve got me in trouble.
[00:09:36] Aaron: Right? Right. Okay. Thank you for that.
[00:09:39] Brad: Okay. Aaron’s, Aaron’s my, uh, my, my, what’s the, he’s my marriage counselor on the side.
[00:09:44] Aaron: Yeah. There you go. That’s right. So fine. So, what was it? Tell me about like the smoking weed thing. Yeah. Right.
[00:09:50] Aaron: Because I think, I don’t know what the, like what happens, but it’s, mm-hmm. So like I was walking home with [00:10:00] my daughter the other day.
[00:10:00] Brad: Yeah.
[00:10:01] Aaron: And we’re passing by literally like, okay, you pass by bus stops or whatever. Yeah. There’s a guy with a joint just smoking right there.
[00:10:07] Brad: Mm.
[00:10:07] Aaron: And it’s like, I’m with my daughter and it’s my two daughters we’re both walking and the guy’s Oh.
[00:10:13] Aaron: And you know, oh. And he’s trying to like, walk around, do something, but like, dude. You’re gonna smell it anyway. I don’t matter if you walk a little bit like you and it’s like the intense smell.
[00:10:21] Brad: Yeah.
[00:10:22] Aaron: And it’s just out there now. Yeah.
[00:10:23] Brad: Like
[00:10:23] Aaron: when I was growing up, you didn’t just have people on the street, like on the bench, just out there.
[00:10:27] Aaron: Like it’s so,
[00:10:29] Brad: yeah.
[00:10:29] Aaron: Not a problem. And of course that guy looks like his life is in shambles, right? Mm-hmm. I mean, uh, unfortunately, right? Like a whatever, but.
[00:10:40] Aaron: What is the idea? You, you, you have this idea that it’s not gonna mess with you originally.
[00:10:45] Brad: Yeah.
[00:10:45] Aaron: Or, or what? Like,
[00:10:46] Brad: I had this idea that it would make me cool. Like, no bullshit. I literally was like, Hey. And also I thought that it would, uh, be like, I, I had always had this concept of like, oh, the cool kids who the girls like,
[00:10:59] Aaron: [00:11:00] yes,
[00:11:00] Brad: do drugs.
[00:11:02] Aaron: Mm.
[00:11:02] Brad: I was like, they smoke weed and the girls think it’s cool. So I’m like.
[00:11:07] Aaron: This one chick was really hot.
[00:11:09] Brad: Yeah.
[00:11:09] Aaron: And we literally called her pothead. And then her name, like she was known as a pothead. Right? I’m not gonna say the name, but like,
[00:11:16] Brad: yeah.
[00:11:18] Aaron: And that to
[00:11:19] Brad: me, Erin won’t name names. I will,
[00:11:20] Aaron: I, I’m just saying like, let’s just say, let’s call it Samantha.
[00:11:23] Aaron: Like let’s just say Samantha. We’re like, so it’s like pothead Samantha. Yeah. Like which Samantha? Oh, pothead. Samantha. Oh yeah. Hot bro.
[00:11:29] Brad: Yeah,
[00:11:30] Aaron: hot.
[00:11:30] Brad: Yeah.
[00:11:31] Aaron: And like, and you know, like. The guys that she was sleeping with were all smoking.
[00:11:35] Brad: Yep.
[00:11:35] Aaron: So, like, I don’t know. Mm-hmm. Dude, you know, maybe, you know.
[00:11:38] Brad: Yeah.
[00:11:38] Aaron: So I, I’m with you on that.
[00:11:39] Aaron: Yeah. I think, I think the girls, there are girls who smoke pot like a lot, right? Mm-hmm. Typically they’re gonna sleep with also other pothead kind of people.
[00:11:48] Brad: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:11:48] Aaron: Um, so I think I, I, that’s a, that’s a good thing. I mean, I, I almost went down that path.
[00:11:52] Brad: Yeah, dude. So the, the whole like drugs and the like, and in childhood, here’s the other thing is like we, the, [00:12:00] they would do, when I say they, I mean like my school.
[00:12:02] Brad: Would put on, uh, anti-drug seminars. Mm. Like pretty semi-regularly.
[00:12:08] Aaron: Yep.
[00:12:09] Brad: And they were just extremely ineffective. Mm. Actually, that’s one thing that I wanted to kind of like crack into today with you, is like, I wanted to actually look at. Like honest assessment. Why is it a bad idea for a kid to actually smoke pot?
[00:12:24] Brad: I actually do believe that. Mm-hmm. Like if I had it all over to do again, I would not do the, the pot thing.
[00:12:29] Aaron: Yep.
[00:12:30] Brad: Like it did nothing for me. Right. It was a huge distraction. It wa the biggest thing. It wasted so much time. Like, so much time. You know, so like as I’m getting older and time’s more valuable to me, I’m like, yeah, I’m sure that’s real to you.
[00:12:47] Brad: Mm-hmm. When you actually start getting successful, time becomes like the ultimate thing. Mm-hmm. You look back at the shit you wasted time on, which gave you no value at all, drugs would be one of ’em for me. Yeah.
[00:12:56] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:12:57] Brad: And I’m like, how stupid was that? [00:13:00] How stupid?
[00:13:00] Aaron: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
[00:13:01] Brad: You know?
[00:13:02] Aaron: Absolutely.
[00:13:03] Brad: So how, how do you think that that could be like, communicated to like a young, like, like a, a 16-year-old?
[00:13:10] Aaron: Well, I think so,
[00:13:10] Brad: in a way that they wouldn’t understand it.
[00:13:12] Aaron: Well, listen, there’s, there’s this like, controversy against the DARE program. Yeah. You know, the drugs, drug, alcohol, what the hell’s dare r stand for? Do you know?
[00:13:20] Brad: I think it’s drug and alcohol resistance education.
[00:13:22] Aaron: There you go.
[00:13:23] Brad: Yeah.
[00:13:23] Aaron: Okay. So like the DARE program.
[00:13:24] Aaron: Yeah. That was like a, a, a big, a big thing. Yeah. Uh, when, when in, in my middle school, I remember.
[00:13:28] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:13:29] Aaron: And then I remember like it was yesterday. You’d have like this DARE event.
[00:13:33] Brad: Yeah.
[00:13:33] Aaron: And all the jerkers would come out and there’d be smoking like during the event. Yeah. In the back and they’re like, ha, ha, ha this.
[00:13:39] Aaron: And so I think what happens, like if, you know, who was it? Like the police would come and be like, Hey, this is why. It was always
[00:13:45] Brad: the police.
[00:13:46] Aaron: The police come,
[00:13:47] Brad: dude, actually I know. I know what it is actually go, I know. I know how it would work. The reason why it doesn’t work is you take the people who aren’t liked by the kids and you have them tell the kids not to do drugs.
[00:13:56] Brad: It’s ridiculous. And so in order to not be like them, [00:14:00] the kids are like, oh, okay, good. The people I don’t like. Fra. Most kids don’t like cops growing up. Like I, I didn’t. Mm-hmm. I like cops. Now, generally, I think I always
[00:14:09] Aaron: like cops a
[00:14:09] Brad: little bit. Did you goody over? I dunno, bro. I don’t generally have issues with the police, but now I’m, I’m actually like.
[00:14:16] Brad: Yeah. Just generally speaking, I feel a, like we live in Clearwater. There’s a lot of cops around here. No, but
[00:14:21] Aaron: here’s the thing.
[00:14:22] Brad: Yeah.
[00:14:22] Aaron: I, I’m with you.
[00:14:23] Brad: Yeah.
[00:14:23] Aaron: Right. Especially if, especially if it’s someone who’s already doing drugs
[00:14:26] Brad: mm-hmm.
[00:14:26] Aaron: And they’re gonna get off, like it’s not gonna be the cops dude. As soon as you’re, as soon as you’re down that path like cops are, allow your enemy ’cause they’re gonna catch you.
[00:14:32] Aaron: Right.
[00:14:32] Brad: But, but if you actually had somebody cool come in. Somebody who actually kids actually thought was cool. Like the, uh, the thing that’s going on with Marshall Faulk
[00:14:42] Aaron: mm-hmm.
[00:14:42] Brad: With the, uh, drug free world.
[00:14:44] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:14:44] Brad: Dude, that’s sick.
[00:14:45] Aaron: Yep.
[00:14:45] Brad: That’s incredible.
[00:14:46] Aaron: Mm-hmm.
[00:14:47] Brad: Like at legitimate actual superstar, basically, uh, you know, in the football world, he’s known.
[00:14:56] Brad: Yeah. You, you know about what he’s doing, right? Yeah,
[00:14:57] Aaron: yeah, yeah,
[00:14:57] of
[00:14:57] Brad: course. Yeah. Yeah. So he’s going around and basically doing. [00:15:00] Uh, basically anti
[00:15:02] Aaron: like education
[00:15:02] Brad: of
[00:15:03] Aaron: what drugs really do to you.
[00:15:04] Brad: Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly.
[00:15:05] Aaron: I think I, that’s, that’s what has to be done, so.
[00:15:07] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:15:08] Aaron: Uh, there’s a documentary, right, called The Truth About Drugs.
[00:15:10] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:15:10] Aaron: So I think that’s what they call it, truth About Drugs documentary. Right. Yeah. I think you’re right. It’s amazing. It’s so good. The entire documentary is actually on Scientology tv. Yeah. Okay. It’s very good. It’s like they said they lied and it’s like, what is, its people who did drugs for like five years or three years.
[00:15:23] Aaron: And then they quit and they’re like, this is what happened to me.
[00:15:26] Brad: Yeah.
[00:15:26] Aaron: So you get, you get it from someone who’s like you. What you would be like in four years if you were on drugs.
[00:15:33] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:15:33] Aaron: And that’s the person who has to give the message.
[00:15:35] Brad: Dude, you just reminded me of something. You know what? My current wife’s
[00:15:39] Aaron: you?
[00:15:40] Aaron: Current
[00:15:40] Brad: mom. I feel like I have to clarify now. Yeah. My current wife’s mom used to show this actually worked. ’cause my wife has never done any drugs ever, ever. At zero. Nothing. Right. And and she was a rebellious kid. Yeah. No drugs. Yeah. Would not do it. Um, she, her mom would show the kids. [00:16:00] Mugshots of people who are arrested for, for drug use publicly.
[00:16:03] Brad: Yes. She would literally show them the mugshots and they would, she would make them look and guess the age and then show them the actual age.
[00:16:10] Aaron: Wow.
[00:16:11] Brad: So you’d be like 47, 23, like you know what’s not like serious like meth added like crazy
[00:16:18] Aaron: shit. ’cause it is, that is one thing that’s very clear. Yeah. Like if you’re doing that stuff, like you will get physically damaged.
[00:16:23] Brad: That’s right.
[00:16:24] Aaron: I mean, it’s just,
[00:16:25] Brad: you get so old so fast.
[00:16:27] Aaron: Yeah. And so women who pe suffer creams and this and whatever and like,
[00:16:29] Brad: yeah,
[00:16:30] Aaron: you are gonna tell ’em, Hey, this is what you’re gonna look like.
[00:16:31] Brad: Yeah, exactly.
[00:16:32] Aaron: That’s a pretty good anecdote. It’s as opposed to like, you know, a cop coming and saying, Hey, you know, just say no or, or don’t do it.
[00:16:37] Aaron: You know what I mean? Yeah. That’s,
[00:16:38] Brad: yeah. Yeah. So that’s pretty effecti effective that that
[00:16:41] Aaron: works. Yeah. No, but that’s the deal. And imagine someone, Hey, these, imagine you bring those same guys. Yeah. And they have a program to be like, dude, I’m in jail for dealing. Right?
[00:16:53] Brad: Yeah.
[00:16:53] Aaron: And those guys are like, you’re gonna come now talk to these kids.
[00:16:56] Brad: Yeah.
[00:16:57] Aaron: Like as a, as a way to maybe that would be like, Hey look, [00:17:00] this is what happened. I was here in this same classroom right there, and my buddy did this, I did that. Mm-hmm. Next thing you know, I broke into this thing, started ceiling, da, da da. Now I’m in prison for 10 years.
[00:17:08] Brad: Yeah.
[00:17:09] Aaron: Is that what you want in your life?
[00:17:10] Aaron: Yeah. I mean, you know, that might be, that might be one way to do it,
[00:17:12] Brad: dude. I think that would actually work really well. That
[00:17:14] Aaron: would be amazing.
[00:17:14] Brad: Yeah. That would like people who literally are like, Hey, yeah, like I did it. This is exactly what I didn’t tell him. The actual like crimes. ’cause what? Look, here’s the thing.
[00:17:24] Brad: Once you’re, once you’re, you like, you go to jail for something like that, or like you, it’s. You might as well talk about it. You might as well actually turn it into a good thing.
[00:17:31] Aaron: Yep.
[00:17:31] Brad: It would actually be a way for people who got in trouble with drugs or dealing whatever to actually turn it into a positive thing in their life and and actually help other people.
[00:17:39] Brad: Yeah. That’d be pretty cool. The other thing is like, for example, um, I’m thinking like our friend Tom Cummins. Yep. Or like Grant Cardone. Yep. Or somebody like that who actually was an actual drug addict. Yeah. And then flipped it completely.
[00:17:52] Aaron: Mm-hmm.
[00:17:55] Brad: Man, I’m just like huge. That my [00:18:00] opinion is, is I’m like, that should be like Grant Cardone should literally be like the anti-drug poster boy.
[00:18:05] Aaron: Yeah. I mean, I think he is globally. I think he is.
[00:18:08] Brad: No, he is not.
[00:18:09] Aaron: What do you mean? Like, I mean, I know he had some viral videos. Did if you search. Yeah, if you just search on Google.
[00:18:13] Brad: Yeah.
[00:18:14] Aaron: You know, does weed, is weed good for business? Something like that. Like his video comes up like number one.
[00:18:18] Brad: Hmm.
[00:18:19] Aaron: There’s, there’s a guy that I knows, there’s actually a guy here in Clearwater, not even a Scientologist.
[00:18:23] Brad: Yeah.
[00:18:23] Aaron: And he quit weed ’cause he saw that video from Grant.
[00:18:26] Brad: Wow.
[00:18:26] Aaron: And he’s been posting. So what’s, what would
[00:18:28] Brad: the, what would
[00:18:28] Aaron: the query be? Search like? Like, uh, search. Like, uh, you, is weed Is weed Good for business?
[00:18:32] Brad: Good for,
[00:18:33] Aaron: let’s just see. We’re looking it up. That’s like the video. Let’s see if, let’s see if, uh, fact checking here.
[00:18:38] Aaron: Smoking weed. Good for selling. Let’s see, let’s see, let’s see, let’s see, let’s see, let’s see. Okay. I don’t see Grant. Some video. I remember it came up.
[00:18:49] Brad: If we go to the videos option
[00:18:52] Aaron: or how to stop smoking weed or like, lemme see. Well, uh,
[00:18:56] Brad: I don’t see anything grant related, but, but my point is more like,
[00:18:59] Aaron: look, look, look, look, look.[00:19:00]
[00:19:00] Brad: I know, I know he is out there,
[00:19:02] Aaron: here, here.
[00:19:03] Brad: Yeah.
[00:19:03] Aaron: Does smoking pot help you succeed? There’s a post called Marijuana Mastery. It has a bunch of views. And this video, I know it’s actually a viral one, right? But like, that’s the thing he has, have you not seen that video? It’s him talking with like some guy on the street and he’s like, bro, the guy
[00:19:19] Brad: I have seen, I have seen this,
[00:19:20] Aaron: bro.
[00:19:20] Aaron: I smoke weed. He’s in Vegas, he’s all good. He is like, he’s like, dude, don’t smoke weed.
[00:19:23] Brad: Yeah.
[00:19:24] Aaron: And he is like, but well, I’m doing good. I’m making like whatever. It’s five grand a month. Like, like I can smoke weed. It’s all good. It’s not stopping me. And he’s like, bro, if you remember the same thing and you’re forget about what it does to you mentally.
[00:19:33] Aaron: I think he even said that, like
[00:19:34] Brad: mm-hmm.
[00:19:35] Aaron: Just pretend you spend three hours a day, two hours at whatever it is you spend smoking. And I put in that and I’m grinding and I’m doing something. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Who’s gonna win? Yeah. Like I like. Then it’s like all the other things making you slow everything else, but like, yes.
[00:19:50] Aaron: Maybe more of that.
[00:19:51] Brad: Yeah.
[00:19:51] Aaron: There’s definitely, it’s good to put that stuff out there, but that’s what we’re doing here. We’ll put like in a, put into a video on, on this channel.
[00:19:57] Brad: Yeah. And the, the thing that, that for me, [00:20:00] I, I would love to actually see, get, like, we, we gotta figure out how to actually get people, uh, like teachers to look at that.
[00:20:07] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:20:07] Brad: Because if a teacher wants to keep their kids off of drugs, they should show them a very successful person who. It says, Hey, I tried the drugs thing.
[00:20:16] Aaron: Yep.
[00:20:17] Brad: It did not work. Yep. It made my life really bad. When I stopped doing it, my life got really good. Yeah. Like just simple message.
[00:20:23] Aaron: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
[00:20:24] Brad: You know?
[00:20:25] Aaron: Absolutely. Can I tell you another, can I tell what I really think is the, the core, the biggest even? Yeah.
[00:20:28] Brad: Yeah. Tell
[00:20:29] Aaron: me. So there’s two problems. One is the education part.
[00:20:31] Brad: We’re about to go deep here
[00:20:32] Aaron: is Yeah. This is, and this is back to uh, uh, from Freedom Magazine.
[00:20:35] Brad: Yeah.
[00:20:36] Aaron: Right. There was a big, uh, capture.
[00:20:38] Aaron: They got 1,100 kilos of fentanyl.
[00:20:41] Brad: Oh my
[00:20:41] Aaron: God. That they seized at the border.
[00:20:43] Brad: Yeah.
[00:20:43] Aaron: And I’m like, listen, if you literally stop drugs from coming in and there is no supply. It’s done.
[00:20:49] Brad: Yeah.
[00:20:50] Aaron: Like it’s done. That’s right. But if you cannot get your hands on the drugs, then you’re, the problem is solved.
[00:20:54] Brad: Yeah.
[00:20:55] Aaron: So I do think like between the wall and the blah and the borders and inspecting and you know, [00:21:00] that kind of stuff.
[00:21:00] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:21:01] Aaron: Listen, it’s not that hard to find a dealer.
[00:21:05] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:21:06] Aaron: Right. So like maybe programs no. Super easy. That’s what I’m saying. So like, programs that will get you
[00:21:12] Brad: to fight. Dude, I, and then those
[00:21:12] Aaron: dealers, you
[00:21:13] Brad: know, bro, I will randomly get proposition for drugs just out, out and about. It’s a lot less now that I cut my hair.
[00:21:20] Brad: I used to have like long hair and a beard. Oh really? I would propositioned way more and I would wear like flannel. I used to get propositioned way more back then. Yeah. But now it’s, so there, you still, from time to time
[00:21:28] Aaron: you get a person who dresses like that, puts long hair and just walks around and know you want something.
[00:21:32] Aaron: Boom. Cut.
[00:21:34] Brad: Thanks for asking,
[00:21:37] Aaron: but I, I’m actually like the supply is the biggest issue.
[00:21:40] Brad: Yeah.
[00:21:41] Aaron: I think because the point is it’s not, yeah, there’s both, you have to tackle both. Yeah. But I think like. No matter how much you’re gonna educate, realize you’re going up against
[00:21:49] Brad: Yeah.
[00:21:50] Aaron: Someone who’s making a bunch of money selling.
[00:21:52] Brad: That is true.
[00:21:53] Aaron: So that
[00:21:54] Brad: yeah, that
[00:21:54] Aaron: is true. Whatever education doesn’t be countered education.
[00:21:56] Brad: Yeah.
[00:21:56] Aaron: But if you cut off the source
[00:21:57] Brad: mm-hmm.
[00:21:58] Aaron: And that’s what’s been happening, right? Mm-hmm. These [00:22:00] seizures, like, at least right now, there was that, that, that was a story from May 20 it a few days ago. A hundred and, uh, 1,100 ketos.
[00:22:06] Aaron: That’s a lot.
[00:22:07] Brad: Yeah.
[00:22:07] Aaron: Right. It’s true. And like these, these seizures of actually, of fentanyl. That’s a lot of, that’s a lot.
[00:22:11] Brad: Yeah. Right. Really a lot.
[00:22:13] Aaron: So what I’m saying is like. If we can cut that off.
[00:22:16] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:22:17] Aaron: And there’s a program like, okay, hey you, you know, there’s maybe there’s that education piece and goes, if you know these dealers, they can either come forward and be clean or get another chance or like we’ll give ’em a chance.
[00:22:27] Aaron: Something like that.
[00:22:28] Brad: Like a dealer amnesty program of
[00:22:29] Aaron: like, something like that.
[00:22:30] Brad: Hey, hey. Come turn in
[00:22:30] Aaron: your, Hey dude, I’m a dealer. Turn yourself in. Turn in your supply.
[00:22:33] Brad: Yeah.
[00:22:34] Aaron: You can get off the hook and this and block something like that.
[00:22:36] Brad: Dude, that would be great.
[00:22:37] Aaron: Because,
[00:22:38] Brad: you know, you know what
[00:22:38] Aaron: else? If you just get all the dealers, bro.
[00:22:40] Brad: That’s right. The,
[00:22:41] Aaron: the, the problem is done.
[00:22:42] Brad: Mm-hmm. So another maybe a little bit more draconian way of handling this. You know what draconian means?
[00:22:48] Aaron: Yeah, yeah.
[00:22:50] Brad: Should I define it? If
[00:22:51] Aaron: you want to?
[00:22:52] Brad: Very, it’s a very brutal way. Yeah. It’s very like, like old school, medieval way of, of doing it. Uh, brutal. So [00:23:00] in, I wanna say it’s.
[00:23:02] Brad: Taiwan, it’s either Taiwan or Singapore. It’s Singapore, actually. Uh, it’s. You will get the death penalty. Like you can actually be given the death penalty for dealing drugs.
[00:23:11] Aaron: Are you being serious?
[00:23:12] Brad: I’m dead serious. What? And they have zero drug issue in Singapore.
[00:23:15] Aaron: What
[00:23:16] Brad: is that? I’m shocked. True. Why? I finally found something about the world that I know that Aaron doesn’t.
[00:23:20] Aaron: Singapore,
[00:23:21] Brad: this is the first time ever
[00:23:22] Aaron: dealing penalties. I’m gonna check that out. This is real.
[00:23:25] Brad: I have never once brought up a fact about. It’s true. Yeah, look it up. I’ve never once brought up a fact to Aaron about the world that he didn’t know and he brings up shit I don’t know all the time. This is great
[00:23:34] Aaron: drug consumption drug.
[00:23:35] Aaron: Singapore’s drug laws.
[00:23:37] Brad: Yeah.
[00:23:37] Aaron: Singapore legal advice.com.
[00:23:39] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:23:40] Aaron: All right. Let’s see. Let’s see. Number one, drug possession, drug consumption, and drug trafficking.
[00:23:44] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:23:44] Aaron: All right. So maximum penalties for the possession of drugs. Okay. It’s 30 years imprisonment.
[00:23:50] Brad: 30 years for possession of drugs.
[00:23:51] Aaron: For possession of drugs.
[00:23:52] Brad: That’s pretty serious. Yeah.
[00:23:53] Aaron: Um, and it’s, uh, for OPM. Cocaine, cannabis. Cannabis resin. Cannabis. Mixture of methamphetamine morphine. Okay. [00:24:00] Uh, okay. Drug consumption. Dude, that’s possession. That’s even consumption. Yeah. Consumption. Uh, I dunno what this is convicted. I dunno what this difference is, right?
[00:24:09] Brad: What
[00:24:09] I
[00:24:09] Aaron: mean, I know what the difference is, but like
[00:24:10] Brad: one is he did it.
[00:24:11] Brad: One is you
[00:24:11] Aaron: have Yeah. Consuming, controlled ies maximum of 10 years. That’s weird.
[00:24:15] Brad: Consumption’s gonna be less than possession.
[00:24:17] Aaron: Why? How you can’t consume it if you didn’t have it. No.
[00:24:21] Brad: Yeah.
[00:24:21] Aaron: Can you explain this to me? What are talking
[00:24:23] Brad: about? Go to trafficking. Go to trafficking,
[00:24:24] Aaron: but hold on. No, no. I need to, this is, this doesn’t make sense.
[00:24:27] Aaron: Look okay. If you smoke it or sniff it or whatever, I mean, you have it.
[00:24:33] Brad: You have to
[00:24:33] Aaron: have
[00:24:33] Brad: it
[00:24:33] Aaron: to smoke it.
[00:24:34] Brad: Yeah. If you have it on your possession. Yeah. I think,
[00:24:37] Aaron: is it maybe because they’re thinking I maybe you’re gonna be a dealer,
[00:24:40] Brad: dude. I don’t know why. Yeah. I think it has to do with the fact that they think there’s, there’s some sort
[00:24:43] Aaron: of, you might be dealing it ’cause it’s hard to catch cash.
[00:24:45] Aaron: You
[00:24:45] Brad: Yeah. Going on.
[00:24:45] Aaron: Because if you just take, okay. Maybe that’s why maybe they’re like, assuming you’re gonna sell
[00:24:48] Brad: very, yeah.
[00:24:50] Aaron: That’s weird to me. ’cause I’m like, it doesn’t make sense. Mm-hmm. So 10 years maximum for consumption.
[00:24:54] Brad: Okay. Now, so go to, go to go to trafficking.
[00:24:56] Aaron: Okay. Can Singapore Legal drug trafficking.[00:25:00]
[00:25:00] Aaron: The most serious of offense is a drug trafficking. If you’re involved transporting, delivering, selling, or distributing, or even offering to do anything, you’ll be committing an offense.
[00:25:09] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:25:09] Aaron: You can also be con convicted if you order someone else to transport a controlled drug. Okay. Penalty depending on the class and quantity penalties ranging from imprisonment to mandatory death penalty.
[00:25:23] Brad: Yep.
[00:25:26] Aaron: If you are convicted of trafficking controlled drugs containing more than 250 grams of ice, you will face a mandatory death penalty.
[00:25:34] Brad: Mandatory death penalty. That’s Singapore, right?
[00:25:36] Aaron: Singapore?
[00:25:37] Brad: Yeah.
[00:25:38] Aaron: Holy.
[00:25:39] Brad: Yeah. They don’t have a drug problem in Singapore.
[00:25:42] Aaron: Yeah, they, who’s gonna do that? Singapore.
[00:25:44] Brad: Yeah. So what that’s called, there’s there true
[00:25:46] Aaron: abuse.
[00:25:46] Aaron: How do you see the stats on Singapore? How much, like, like you say, don’t have it, but like, let’s see. Is it
[00:25:52] Brad: really true? Uh, I mean, to be honest with you, I’m saying that ’cause Trump said it.
[00:25:54] Aaron: Okay. Okay.
[00:25:55] Brad: I’m just being com completely transparent.
[00:25:58] Aaron: The number of drug abusers. [00:26:00] Yeah. Okay. Fine. But it, that’s true bro.
[00:26:04] Aaron: Like if, like
[00:26:05] Brad: I’ve also heard anecdotally from people Yeah. Who are like front like, um, you know, ting.
[00:26:11] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:26:13] Brad: So like, I mean, I’ve heard from her that it’s not an issue over.
[00:26:15] Aaron: Yeah. Because like, hey, if you know you’re gonna sell this, you’re gonna immediately be like, you’re gonna have a death penalty.
[00:26:20] Brad: Yeah. You get caught in
[00:26:20] Aaron: and you’re in middle school and you’re like, Hey, should I sell this mandatory?
[00:26:22] Aaron: Mandatory?
[00:26:23] Brad: Yeah.
[00:26:23] Aaron: It’s not an option. It’s mandatory.
[00:26:24] Brad: Yeah.
[00:26:25] Aaron: Well, that’s one way to handle it, bro.
[00:26:26] Brad: That’s one way to handle
[00:26:27] Aaron: it. I would you be against that being passed here?
[00:26:29] Brad: I would completely support that. You know why?
[00:26:31] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:26:32] Brad: There’s actually an LRH data on us.
[00:26:33] Aaron: Yep.
[00:26:33] Brad: It’s, it’s the, the, the penalty too gruesome to bear.
[00:26:36] Brad: Right. If you really don’t want somebody to do something, you make the what? You make the disincentive so huge. Yeah. Yeah. That they just, they’re like, I’m not even willing
[00:26:45] Aaron: to. Yeah. It’s true. I mean, it, there’s a story, uh, uh, that he talks about as well.
[00:26:50] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:26:50] Aaron: Um, like that
[00:26:52] Brad: LR
[00:26:52] Aaron: shots about in the west. Yeah.
[00:26:53] Aaron: Mm-hmm. Like in the cowboy area, you steal from someone, you’re gonna get shot.
[00:26:56] Brad: That’s right.
[00:26:57] Aaron: They don’t have a stealing problem.
[00:26:58] Brad: That’s right.
[00:26:59] Aaron: Right. Like, [00:27:00] yo, you just took my whatever block, boom. You shoot. Like, yeah. Listen, it’s a bit brutal. It’s a bit crazy, but like them people don’t steal.
[00:27:06] Brad: Yeah. Yeah. People don’t fuck.
[00:27:08] Brad: You know what I mean? Yeah.
[00:27:09] Aaron: That’s,
[00:27:09] Brad: yeah. People respect each other’s property. So I had this actually happen to me, not death penalty, but in my economics class. Clearly at West Point. Yeah. No, haven’t been shot yet. Uh, in my economics class at West Point, this is, this is, uh. It’s, it, obviously my, my economics teacher at West Point was not a Scientologist, but he had this concept of like incentives.
[00:27:29] Brad: Yeah. Right. And it’s, I believe in incentives like in my company. Like people are incentive towards what we want ’em to do, like massively.
[00:27:35] Aaron: Absolutely.
[00:27:35] Brad: So, um, and Elon talks about a lot about incentives as well, by the way. So. This economics teacher, he gave us a lesson in incentives. This was actually the first lesson he ever did in the class, and he’s like, oh, okay, so we’re gonna do a practical here.
[00:27:48] Brad: It’s gonna last all semester. He’s like, the incentive is if I catch you cheating, you get a zero in the whole class. If I catch you cheating one time, zero in the whole class and I’ll report you to the [00:28:00] academic board and, and recommend you be expelled.
[00:28:01] Aaron: Okay.
[00:28:02] Brad: And he is like, I predict we will not have a problem with cheating in this class.
[00:28:06] Aaron: Okay.
[00:28:06] Brad: He’s like, ’cause that’s the incentive. And by the way, this guy was the, the most sweetheart dude ever.
[00:28:12] Aaron: Wow.
[00:28:12] Brad: He gave ass loads of extra credit.
[00:28:14] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:28:14] Brad: Super nice. But if he caught somebody cheating zero for the whole, they failed the whole, the whole semester. Zero. And he, he reported them and recommended they be expelled.
[00:28:24] Aaron: Wow.
[00:28:25] Brad: And he’s like,
[00:28:25] Aaron: and, and you don’t know anybody who cheated in that class?
[00:28:27] Brad: I, I, or,
[00:28:28] Aaron: you know, one person?
[00:28:29] Brad: No, I actually don’t know anybody who even like. It, it was just kind of accepted.
[00:28:33] Aaron: What, what about the same people in the other classes where they cheat in other, in the,
[00:28:36] Brad: for a hundred percent.
[00:28:36] Aaron: Wow.
[00:28:37] Brad: Yeah. A hundred percent.
[00:28:38] Brad: Yeah.
[00:28:38] Aaron: And that’s that simple. Now
[00:28:39] Brad: this,
[00:28:39] Aaron: I didn’t even, in this case, he didn’t even have to actually give the penalty 10. That’s
[00:28:42] Brad: right. That’s right.
[00:28:44] Aaron: It’s just like that is a standard.
[00:28:45] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:28:46] Aaron: Don’t try me.
[00:28:47] Brad: That’s right. Yeah. Yeah. ’cause it’s, it’s, I’m down that. Yeah, it’s a penalty. That’s too, you just aren’t even willing to consider getting that penalty, so you won’t go there.
[00:28:58] Aaron: Dude, I think honestly, listen, drug [00:29:00] trafficking realize when you, if you sell drugs, in this case the Singapore one is 250 grams, which, how much is that? How much is like, uh, we’re talking usage.
[00:29:08] Brad: It’s like, uh, it’s a couple ounces, I think, usage.
[00:29:11] Aaron: But what does that mean? Like how much can you smoke of that?
[00:29:13] Aaron: It’s not like how many days of usage
[00:29:15] Brad: that would usage like, of weed.
[00:29:18] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:29:20] Brad: I mean that would get you quite a while. 250 grams.
[00:29:22] Aaron: That
[00:29:23] Brad: would, that would last a while. You could probably make that last a year. Think
[00:29:26] Aaron: a year,
[00:29:27] Brad: I think.
[00:29:27] I
[00:29:27] Aaron: think. Okay. So 20 grams a lot. Okay,
[00:29:29] Brad: hold on. Lemme just, let me look how much it is like compared to like, I need a, A unit converter here, so 250 grams to OU ounces, so it’s eight ounces, so that’s half a pound.
[00:29:44] Brad: Yeah, that’s a lot that for weed. That’d be a lot of weed. Yeah. You can make that last a year and smoke every day probably.
[00:29:49] Aaron: Wow.
[00:29:50] Brad: Yeah. So then that’s a decent amount of
[00:29:52] Aaron: Yeah. Yeah. So it’s like you’re, you’re, you’re trafficking a lot at that point. Not just a little bit. So you’re, you, if you have enough, you go ahead.
[00:29:58] Brad: It’s actually not a lot in the drug world though.
[00:29:59] Aaron: [00:30:00] Really.
[00:30:00] Brad: Like pounds would be
[00:30:01] Aaron: lot. No, of course. Like,
[00:30:02] Brad: you know,
[00:30:02] Aaron: a lot. A lot. No, but I just mean like, dude. Mm-hmm. If someone could, could get handed anything for a year.
[00:30:07] Brad: Yeah.
[00:30:07] Aaron: That, that’s pretty, I mean, it’s not like, hey, it’s not nothing this afternoon. It’s not a little, this is your weed for this, this afternoon or some, like for a week or whatever
[00:30:13] Brad: this afternoon.
[00:30:14] Aaron: So, um, it’s your
[00:30:15] Brad: weed rash.
[00:30:16] Aaron: Yeah. No. Yeah. Like, yo, dude, hey, you want, you know, whatever. Yeah. So.
[00:30:20] Brad: 60,
[00:30:20] Aaron: you’re, you’re talking about you if you get someone on that, or multiple people. Yeah. ’cause that could be 50 people for a week’s worth or something like that. Yeah. Right. Yeah. They could, like you get a lot of people in it, then they get, then those guys end up using something else and et cetera, et cetera.
[00:30:33] Aaron: Those one of those guys will probably get into some sort of, uh, drinking and driving accident or something like that. Like
[00:30:38] Brad: yeah.
[00:30:38] Aaron: These things are common, like accidents
[00:30:40] Brad: mm-hmm.
[00:30:40] Aaron: Occur. Mostly drinking and a lot of times people drink and smoke at the same time. Well,
[00:30:44] Brad: bro, let’s, let’s just hijack a story that we both know from, from, uh, from Tom.
[00:30:48] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:30:49] Brad: Right. So, uh, a friend of ours, he, he talked about this on, on my, uh, business podcast where he went to jail for drug trafficking. Yep. And he went in his cell block. There were like 70 [00:31:00] guys and he surveyed all of them and he asked every single one of ’em. He was like, what did, what did you do to get in here?
[00:31:05] Brad: Like, what’s your story? Mm-hmm. Ev, regardless of the crime they committed, every single one of them, 100% of them was on drugs when they were arrested.
[00:31:15] Aaron: Yep.
[00:31:15] Brad: At the time of arrest, they were on drugs.
[00:31:18] Aaron: Yep. So if you take that into account,
[00:31:19] Brad: 100% correlation. Yeah.
[00:31:21] Aaron: It’s a hundred percent correlation. Crime.
[00:31:22] Brad: Every shooter
[00:31:23] Aaron: death.
[00:31:24] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:31:24] Brad: Every shooter. Is on drugs.
[00:31:26] Aaron: Yep.
[00:31:27] Brad: Every mass shooter or withdrawal ever been? Oh, they’re on withdrawal
[00:31:30] Aaron: or withdrawal.
[00:31:30] Brad: Oh yeah,
[00:31:31] Aaron: for sure. There’s,
[00:31:32] Brad: there’s instances where they were not on drugs.
[00:31:34] Aaron: The withdrawal is actually worse than being on the drug for, for, for psychotropics. Generally when they have a a, an incident is when they get off of it.
[00:31:41] Aaron: You kind of do a cold Turkey. Uh, and I didn’t know
[00:31:44] Brad: that.
[00:31:45] Aaron: Yeah. So the withdrawal symptoms. Actually, what get you the most? And, and that’s kinda why those drugs are so addictive. Wow. So
[00:31:50] Brad: somebody’s actually trying to like kick
[00:31:52] Aaron: it. Yeah. When you’re on it, you don’t go that, like you, of course you’re going crazy over time as you Right.
[00:31:55] Aaron: But when these big incident occur,
[00:31:58] Brad: but you’re, you’re so suppressed that you’re just like,
[00:31:59] Aaron: uh, when the [00:32:00] big incidents occurs once you’re on it
[00:32:01] Brad: Yeah.
[00:32:02] Aaron: And you’re off it for let’s say like 24 hours. A lot of people go really nuts. And it is very, I mean, there are, there are entire businesses that, that are around.
[00:32:11] Aaron: Like there’s a guy who literally takes like a, let’s say Prozac, you’re, you’re on Prozac and you’re addicted. You can’t be off it. You try to take it off and. You almost killed yourself or you did, you know, you killed someone else. I don’t know. Some like literally that stuff will create that. It’s on the box.
[00:32:21] Aaron: There’s not like a controversial thing. Mm-hmm. It does cause homicide and suicide.
[00:32:24] Brad: Yeah. So
[00:32:26] Aaron: there are entire doctors and people who specialize in like, good, you’re taking one pill a day. They’ll literally crush it, make it into liquid, and then give you 0.9 pill a day for a week. Mm-hmm. Then 0.8 of the pill.
[00:32:37] Aaron: Mm-hmm. Then 0.7 of the pill so you can wean off of it, and then you get vitamins and this because your body. It’s now addicted and when you get off of it, that’s when these things occur. Just as a point for, for those types of drugs, that’s actually more of the case is the withdrawal effects.
[00:32:51] Brad: Wow.
[00:32:51] Aaron: As opposed to being on it.
[00:32:52] Aaron: I didn’t know that. So yes, so we have some in their system, but it’s mostly withdrawal from my understanding. Right. I mean, I didn’t like do massive, massive stuff, but [00:33:00] I’ve also met with people and. The incidents I’ve heard around family members around people that take this, like when they get off of it.
[00:33:07] Brad: Yeah.
[00:33:07] Aaron: That’s when they really go nuts. Wow. And it’s not, and it’s not because they’re not taking it because before they were on the drink, they weren’t violence or anything like that. Yeah. They generally you’re on it.
[00:33:16] Brad: Yeah.
[00:33:16] Aaron: And then you get off, boom. The withdrawal.
[00:33:17] Brad: Mm. So we kinda shifted there in a psych drugs a
[00:33:20] Aaron: little bit.
[00:33:20] Aaron: Yeah, yeah, yeah. But in general, like. So fine in the prison, you know, Tom, uh, confirmed that it’s on your pocket because you check it out. Um, but everybody’s on drugs. So the point is that if you are giving people a year’s supply of drugs
[00:33:32] Brad: mm-hmm.
[00:33:33] Aaron: Right? Or multiple people, a lot of drugs mm-hmm. You will in some way, directly or indirectly be responsible for the death of somebody.
[00:33:40] Brad: A hundred percent.
[00:33:41] Aaron: And so is the death penalty warranted or not?
[00:33:46] Brad: Yeah. It is ’cause it, because at that point,
[00:33:49] Aaron: and, and I think, well, I think like it would, you would have to have an advanced warning, just kind of the person. Mm-hmm. Like the person in your class who said, Hey, this is a penalty. So it’s like good, everybody, you all know on this day.
[00:33:59] Brad: Mm-hmm. [00:34:00]
[00:34:00] Aaron: Maybe six months from now.
[00:34:01] Brad: Yeah.
[00:34:01] Aaron: This day on you get caught.
[00:34:03] Brad: Yeah.
[00:34:03] Aaron: You have that penalty and get that everywhere so everybody knows. Yeah. Because for example, let’s say to. Uh, if that was a death penalty, he would’ve been, he would’ve died.
[00:34:11] Brad: That’s right.
[00:34:12] Aaron: Uh, and he would’ve been killed.
[00:34:13] Brad: Yeah.
[00:34:13] Aaron: But if he would’ve known that was a penalty
[00:34:15] Brad: mm-hmm.
[00:34:16] Aaron: Then would he have even ever dealt
[00:34:18] Brad: mm-hmm.
[00:34:19] Aaron: That’s, that’s, you know, we, we could ask him.
[00:34:21] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:34:21] Aaron: But like, I think probably not.
[00:34:23] Brad: Yeah, probably not.
[00:34:24] Aaron: I think probably not.
[00:34:24] Brad: Yeah. Probably not. Because that’s the thing about, like, um, for example, one of the reasons that people pay their taxes, right? Mm-hmm. Like if you talk to any wealthy person, they’re like, pay your taxes.
[00:34:36] Brad: Mm-hmm. Like, do not do to avoid taxes other than the legal things. Yeah. Which that’s not actually avoiding taxes, of course. You literally just take your write offs. Yeah. Right. And there’s tax minimization strategies and all of ’em do that. But once they get the bill. The final bill, they pay the bill timely.
[00:34:51] Mm-hmm.
[00:34:51] Brad: Like they pay the whole bill and they don’t with it. Right. So the reason they do that is ’cause the consequence for not doing it is so [00:35:00] brutal. You
[00:35:00] Aaron: go to jail
[00:35:00] Brad: and so Yeah. You literally go to jail and it’s like none of them are willing to experience that.
[00:35:05] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:35:05] Brad: But you, you go to jail, it’s like, like from what I understand, it’s like super easy to like lock somebody up for that.
[00:35:11] Brad: So nobody s with it.
[00:35:12] Aaron: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
[00:35:13] Brad: So if you had that same thing. Around drug dealing.
[00:35:16] Aaron: We’ve solved it guys. We’ve solved, we’ve solved the drug problem.
[00:35:18] Brad: Yeah. Well, Singapore.
[00:35:19] Aaron: Singapore. Singapore. Singapore did it.
[00:35:20] Brad: Yeah.
[00:35:21] Aaron: Let’s adopt this in the us Let’s get petition going around. Hey guys,
[00:35:24] Brad: you wanna
[00:35:25] Aaron: start
[00:35:25] Brad: one?
[00:35:25] Brad: We actually
[00:35:25] Aaron: should, I mean, we could. Why not? Like, listen,
[00:35:27] Brad: we should. Yeah.
[00:35:28] Aaron: Uh, let’s talk about, hey, this person died from drugs. This person died from drugs. This person died from like, Hey, let’s save our future generation. Your friends’? Friends, your children’s friends. Yeah. Your children themselves. Let’s put this up as repetition.
[00:35:41] Brad: So. I wonder if you can actually do a state law
[00:35:49] Aaron: Possibly,
[00:35:50] Brad: because I know that there are different states. There are different states where, uh, like for example, they, they use the death. Yeah. They legalized the death penalty in Texas.
[00:35:58] Aaron: They legalized, uh, uh, [00:36:00] meth and Yeah. All sorts of stuff over there.
[00:36:02] Brad: Yeah.
[00:36:03] Brad: Heroin. And, and here’s, here’s the other thing that like if somebody actually uses drugs and is watching this, I would say like, we don’t dislike you.
[00:36:11] Aaron: Absolutely not.
[00:36:12] Brad: Like we should actually talk about that. It’s like there’s like, I am trying to think of if like I know people who do drugs right now. I’m sure I do.
[00:36:18] Brad: I do. Yeah, you do.
[00:36:20] Aaron: Of course.
[00:36:20] Brad: Do you dislike them?
[00:36:21] Aaron: No.
[00:36:22] Brad: Yeah, it’s like, it’s not like a dis, but would you really be happy for them if they kicked that terrible habit?
[00:36:28] Aaron: For sure. Yeah. As long as they didn’t go through a massive withdrawal and do something crazy.
[00:36:32] Brad: Yeah, of course.
[00:36:32] Aaron: I mean the, I think the withdrawal process is a real problem.
[00:36:35] Brad: Yeah.
[00:36:35] Aaron: It’s like it is a real problem, especially as you get into the heavier types of drug. Like the withdrawal, it is actually very difficult to get off of it. Mm-hmm. And, and, and that is a, that’s a real problem. And that’s what I think, like the, the, the best person that this is, let’s say targeted for in my eyes, is someone who has not tried it yet.
[00:36:50] Brad: Mm.
[00:36:50] Aaron: Especially the kids.
[00:36:51] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:36:51] Aaron: Right. If you have never tried the drug, know that, like if you get on it
[00:36:55] Brad: Yeah.
[00:36:55] Aaron: It’s not so simple to just come off.
[00:36:57] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:36:58] Aaron: Your body becomes hooked [00:37:00] on it. Your actual cells demand this thing. That’s right. And to just unuse, there’s these decisions. There’s like a decision tree.
[00:37:06] Aaron: I forgot who some famous person on these deci decisions, but like
[00:37:08] Brad: Yeah.
[00:37:09] Aaron: If it, if you can undo a decision, you don’t have to think too much about it.
[00:37:12] Brad: Yeah.
[00:37:12] Aaron: If this is a decision that’s like permanent and has a permanent effect,
[00:37:16] Brad: yeah.
[00:37:16] Aaron: Should be like really dig deep into it to see is it worth it?
[00:37:20] Brad: Yeah.
[00:37:21] Aaron: Right.
[00:37:21] Aaron: Is it really, really worth it?
[00:37:23] Brad: Yeah.
[00:37:23] Aaron: And in that case, you know, hey, coming off of it. Might be extremely hard, potentially like deadly.
[00:37:30] Brad: Yeah.
[00:37:30] Aaron: Trying to come off.
[00:37:31] Brad: Yeah.
[00:37:31] Aaron: Right. And then trying to stay on is also deadly. So like mm-hmm. You, you, you’re kind of like, is it worth, ’cause backtracking is not that easy for everybody.
[00:37:39] Brad: Yeah.
[00:37:39] Aaron: Or for almost anybody.
[00:37:41] Brad: You know? The other thing that would really handle the drug situation,
[00:37:43] Aaron: what’s that?
[00:37:44] Brad: Politicians need to be drug tested.
[00:37:47] Aaron: That’s true.
[00:37:48] Brad: That’s completely true. Yeah. So there, I, I wanna say that. I don’t think it’s made it into any bill, but there, there have been serious discussions about this [00:38:00] in, obviously, dude, the, the crazy thing about this is most of this is actually originated by the Republican party, which I’m like, I, which
[00:38:08] Aaron: what is originated?
[00:38:09] Brad: Uh, like anti-drug
[00:38:10] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:38:11] Brad: Bills like I, anyways, there’s
[00:38:13] Aaron: definitely, there’s definitely some numbers there for sure.
[00:38:15] Brad: Are there?
[00:38:15] Aaron: Absolutely. A hundred percent.
[00:38:17] Brad: We should find out who they are so that I can. Say that I like them because like, here’s the thing is like, this is such a, a huge thing that even if you’re,
[00:38:24] Aaron: it should be
[00:38:24] bipartisan
[00:38:25] Brad: woke for sure.
[00:38:25] Brad: Woke. Woke is
[00:38:26] Aaron: matter.
[00:38:26] Brad: Like, I, I don’t really like the woke ideology, but if you’re against drugs, okay, that’s a huge plus point for you. Like I, I, okay, good. I can that a little bit. Yep. We’ll have to bleep that out. Sorry.
[00:38:35] Aaron: It’s funny there’s
[00:38:36] Brad: many other one, but No, seriously, like it’s such a, an issue.
[00:38:43] Aaron: And but here, I think before that, back to the education part.
[00:38:46] Aaron: Yeah. It’s like there is a lot since the pop, like we go back to the movies.
[00:38:50] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:38:50] Aaron: You get the movies, you get the idea, you get the stuff. Yeah. Where we’re started movies, okay, it’s cool, this blah, blah, whatever. Mm-hmm. These, these people do it, you know, the Snoop Dogg of, you know, all this stuff. Yeah. Like, hey, it’s, it’s cool.
[00:38:59] Aaron: It’s not [00:39:00] gonna affect your career. Like, the amount of people that like will literally mention Snoop Dogg, like, Hey, you can’t be successful in the drugs. Like, no, no. I never said you can’t be successful and, and, and do drugs. That’s not the point. Yeah. The point is that like. What is your potential and how much time is spent to it?
[00:39:12] Aaron: And even if you look at Snoop Dogg, like a lot of the brand is around the drug. Yeah. So your kind of quote unquote successor legacy is around getting more people to do this. Mm-hmm. Like is that the success that you want? Right. And then you know how, I don’t know. Right? Like who Listen, I like some of his songs.
[00:39:30] Aaron: But anyway. Okay. So
[00:39:31] Brad: here’s the other thing is that Snoop, Snoop Dogg’s success is not predicated on him doing drugs. You know what I mean? Yeah. Like there’s, there’s a,
[00:39:39] Aaron: but the branding, the branding is very heavy. You realize that Yeah.
[00:39:41] Brad: The
[00:39:41] Aaron: branding is extremely heavy.
[00:39:43] Brad: He has turned that into his brand.
[00:39:44] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:39:45] Brad: But it, it’s like that’s something that he also is constantly fighting. If I had to guess,
[00:39:51] Aaron: is he, oh, I don’t know. Maybe.
[00:39:52] Brad: Yeah. Has think so be, I mean, how, how could you, how could you be on drugs constantly and not actually be fighting that? Like I, I’ve, I’ve, [00:40:00] I’ve experienced that
[00:40:01] Aaron: really well. I honestly, for me, at some point.
[00:40:06] Aaron: I don’t actually know, dude, I, I wouldn’t, I don’t know, is there, we could look up a podcast or find out this guy talks, but maybe he also changed, you know, Paige maybe changed direction, but there’s definitely a point where I don’t think he’s fighting whatsoever. Like, a lot of times people will just, they take on a
[00:40:19] Brad: pause and No, I mean, I mean, I mean, fighting it in ways that you might not think about.
[00:40:22] Aaron: So
[00:40:22] Brad: like if he ask to get up and go record a song, but he’s, he’s still high as from the night before.
[00:40:27] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:40:27] Brad: And he can’t put a sentence together. Like that’s, that’s making his career worse. Inarguably. Right. If you can’t go and fulfill your commitments, if he’s supposed to be on a show and he can’t go ’cause he missed his flight ’cause he was on a bender the night before, that’s damaging his career.
[00:40:44] Aaron: Right.
[00:40:44] Brad: You know what I mean?
[00:40:45] Aaron: Right.
[00:40:45] Brad: So I.
[00:40:47] Aaron: I mean, I, anyway, I don’t know. Yeah. Like, again, I, I, I don’t know.
[00:40:51] Brad: Yeah.
[00:40:52] Aaron: Everything about it.
[00:40:53] Brad: Yeah. I don’t know Snoop Dogg’s specifics. I
[00:40:54] Aaron: don’t know.
[00:40:55] Brad: But I do know the way the drugs work, and I do know that as the product of people who drugs. Yeah. They, they miss their flights, [00:41:00] they miss appointments.
[00:41:00] Brad: They don’t show up to shit. They show up and can’t perform.
[00:41:03] Aaron: Yep.
[00:41:04] Brad: That’s just what happens. Yeah, that’s, I have always experienced that with drugs. And actually one of the thing that, that I wanna say that’s really important here is on, because this is a Scientology podcast, right? In case anybody forgot, uh, the thing that has amazed me, uh, ’cause I’m a newer Scientologist actually.
[00:41:19] Brad: Yep. Like all things considered, the most amazing thing about Scientology to me is the number of people who were on hard drugs. Who have completely recovered and actually not gone down a road of their life becoming a living hell mm-hmm. And eventually dying of overdose. Mm-hmm. Which happens all the time.
[00:41:39] Brad: Yep. There’s countless examples, by the way, the, the, the biggest argument against the Snoop Dogg thing would be, okay, what happened to Juice World? What happened to, uh, what are the other, what happened to Elvis Presley? Mm. Like all these other amazing people who are no longer, longer with us. Because they O’
[00:41:55] Aaron: Cobain.
[00:41:56] Brad: Yeah. Kurt Cobain. Uh, well, it is debatable. He might have been killed little. [00:42:00]
[00:42:00] Aaron: Okay.
[00:42:00] Brad: But, but suppo, yeah. He committed suicide. Yeah, exactly. Be
[00:42:04] Aaron: by the way, if you look at, I mean, suicides, like any person, any person that I know of or know that has committed suicide was also on drugs.
[00:42:12] Brad: Yeah.
[00:42:13] Aaron: And like the, the, it is a side effect of listed drugs that are legally sold.
[00:42:19] Brad: Yeah.
[00:42:19] Aaron: Which are, that’s listed on there.
[00:42:21] Brad: Suicidal thoughts. Yeah.
[00:42:21] Aaron: And. The other drugs don’t have labels.
[00:42:24] Brad: Yeah,
[00:42:24] Aaron: because they’re not legal. But that is that it eventually happens, like is a route. So I wanna say like, yes. So thank you for that. That’s, that’s a good argument. I You’ve never even thought about that.
[00:42:34] Aaron: So like for all, for the one Snoop Dogg that exists. Yeah. ’cause that’s like the one real guy. The one, like the one that’s really like heavy. Heavy. Yeah. There’s all these people that have literally died.
[00:42:42] Brad: Yeah.
[00:42:42] Aaron: Uh, following a path. Somewhat similar.
[00:42:45] Brad: Yeah, exactly.
[00:42:45] Aaron: To they, they, he, he missed it somehow that it could have Yeah.
[00:42:48] Aaron: Easily sw swooped out. That’s somehow magically, that’s
[00:42:50] Brad: somehow, yeah.
[00:42:51] Aaron: Very good point.
[00:42:51] Brad: Martha Stewart
[00:42:52] Aaron: saved, saved him. I guess that’s not, yeah, there you go. So, um, so anyway, and I, and like now we’re talking about, uh, Scientology. Yeah. So we’re gonna talk about [00:43:00] Scientology and I wanna talk about one of the reasons that people are able to come off.
[00:43:03] Aaron: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yes. And there is, there is a program which, which I’ll link to a a, a course. There’s a one called Answers to Drugs. Mm-hmm. It’s on the scientology do org website. And it actually talks about. Getting your body, the nutrition, eat. ’cause what happens is your body gets addicted to stuff.
[00:43:16] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:43:16] Aaron: And when you come off that withdrawal symptom, your body is lacking stuff. There’s actually a thing called like a drug bomb.
[00:43:23] Brad: Yeah.
[00:43:23] Aaron: Which is all these different vitamin stuff that your body is wanting you to consume during the withdrawal. Mm-hmm. And that actually exists and you can get all those ingredients and make that stuff for free.
[00:43:32] Aaron: You don’t have, like, that’s not Yeah. We’re not making money off of this thing.
[00:43:34] Brad: Yeah.
[00:43:35] Aaron: Look up the drug bomb. We’ll put in the link. Okay. Answers to drugs. They actually scientology.org/drugs. That’s really, that’s free course. Yeah. Oh, there go. And it includes how to make the drug bomb and it includes like rehab procedures.
[00:43:44] Aaron: And then there’s also thing called
[00:43:45] Brad: you can make bombs at home. It is legal.
[00:43:47] Aaron: Yeah. Yeah. Bomb. That one. Yeah, it’s called that way because it’s like a big, it hits, it makes sense. Vitamin.
[00:43:52] Brad: Yeah.
[00:43:53] Aaron: And so then there’s this whole thing like the purification.
[00:43:55] Brad: Yep.
[00:43:56] Aaron: Rundown, right, which is sauna.
[00:43:57] Brad: One of the best things I ever did my
[00:43:58] Aaron: life.
[00:43:58] Aaron: It has like you take your [00:44:00] cells that are filled with this stuff and it sticks in there like in a way that you don’t know,
[00:44:03] Brad: by the way, by the way. When any person I’ve ever told about the
[00:44:08] Aaron: Purf, yep.
[00:44:08] Brad: Scientologists not s curious or not whatever. Every single one of ’em says, man, I want to do that.
[00:44:13] Aaron: It, it’s
[00:44:14] Brad: amazing.
[00:44:14] Brad: Every single person I’ve ever talked to, even people who are slightly antagonistic to Scientology. Yeah, they’re like that purification thing though. Dude, it’s, it’s ’cause it’s so, it’s, it’s just, yeah. Anyways,
[00:44:26] Aaron: it’s just good common sense. Mm-hmm. It’s backed by science. There’s like books Yeah. Like that go into it.
[00:44:31] Aaron: There’s a massive mass, uh, trial mm-hmm. Uh, clinical study done in Vietnam.
[00:44:36] Brad: Yeah.
[00:44:37] Aaron: And the results are incredible.
[00:44:39] Brad: Yeah,
[00:44:39] Aaron: I bet. For this program. Yeah. Like it’s the, the, the purification detox program.
[00:44:42] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:44:42] Aaron: Like. We’ll link to that too. There’s a lot of links I wanna put on this thing. Yeah. But I just wanna say like, that is a big step because what happens is a lot of people don’t have the way to come off.
[00:44:51] Brad: Yeah. ‘
[00:44:52] Aaron: cause withdrawal is a real, very hard thing. Yeah. And then recovery, long-term recovery to get your mind straight after. Mm-hmm. All the numbness and all these things that have happened. And you may not even, I mean, it’s the new [00:45:00] normal, right? Yeah. So how do you recover that? Well, that’s, yeah. Clear body, clear mind verification, rundown.
[00:45:04] Aaron: Those things are all. I mean, I think incredible. Yeah. Invaluable.
[00:45:09] Brad: And I, I wanna, I, I wanna, I wanna finish a, a thought that I kind of lost earlier, but like, the thing that amazes me and am amazed me at the beginning, it still does about Scientology, is that there’s actually a, a handling for drugs where somebody who’s going to the point of where they may have OD’ed once, twice, three times, like their serious drug users mm-hmm.
[00:45:27] Brad: On hard drugs, can actually come completely all the way around. ’cause that is Grant Cardone.
[00:45:31] Aaron: Yep.
[00:45:31] Brad: Grant Cardone overdosed three times. He went to rehab at 25, like. Checked himself in for 30. Right. And then never did drugs again because he read the book Dietetics and then became a Scientologist having read the book Dianetics like 15 years earlier.
[00:45:43] Brad: But here’s the thing, so I, I have a construction company, right? Yep. And I come from, uh, Pasco County. I grew up in Pasco County. Mm. There’s a lot of heavy drug use in Pasco County. I know, I know a guy a lot.
[00:45:54] Aaron: I I, I hired a guy who, uh,
[00:45:56] Brad: yeah.
[00:45:56] Aaron: Was a former drug leader for, for from Pasco.
[00:45:58] Brad: Yeah. Yeah. So a [00:46:00] lot of, uh, opioid use, a lot of heroin use.
[00:46:03] Brad: So there’s a guy that worked for me for, uh, two and a half years. Yep. Right. A guy named Wes. He, uh, I found out like at, obviously at the end of his tenure working for us. By the way, this was a seemingly functional guy. Did not like Scientology. For the record, was actually when, when I, when I found Scientology, he was already working for me, and I told him, I was like, dude, this is amazing.
[00:46:23] Brad: He’s like, oh, blah, blah, blah. He had some bullshit, false data. Mm. So whatever. Fine. I, I, I respect his, his thing, it didn’t affect his, his employment. It like, whatever, man. We had different beliefs. It’s fine. Uh, and so we would actually go play golf like every, every, not every weekend, but like probably every couple weeks we’d go play golf.
[00:46:39] Brad: He’s like my golf. He actually got me into golf in the first place. Wow. I love golf now and, uh, this guy Wes, so stop, stop working for us because he basically, he went on a bender. He actually got the biggest,
[00:46:49] Aaron: what’s a bender? Like an own You overdose.
[00:46:51] Brad: What’s a bender? Uh, a bender’s like where you have like a couple days where you’re just drugged out and you’re, you go crazy.
[00:46:56] Brad: Oh yeah, you just go wild. It’s
[00:46:57] Aaron: like a binge.
[00:46:57] Brad: A binge, yeah. Yeah.
[00:46:59] Aaron: A bender. Okay.
[00:46:59] Brad: [00:47:00] Yeah. Be just another word for a binge. Yeah. Cool. Because he got a, a check on this Friday ’cause he closed the biggest deal he’d ever closed. He gets the biggest single commission check he’s ever gotten. Wow. Goes and buys a bunch of drugs.
[00:47:10] Brad: Goes on on this bender, we’ll say
[00:47:13] Aaron: yes.
[00:47:13] Brad: I don’t hear from him on Monday. I don’t hear from him on Tuesday. Finally on Wednesday, his wife calls me and says, Hey, he’s in rehab. He, he checked himself into rehab. Wow. Was not true. He did not check himself into rehab. Mm. He was so up that she couldn’t find him.
[00:47:26] Aaron: Wow.
[00:47:26] Brad: Was just lost. And then finally he comes back, he’s like, da, da, da. I’m cleaning up my act, blah, blah, blah. Doesn’t clean up his act. Mm. Week later I’m like, Hey, okay, fine. We’ll, I’ll, I’ll take, I’ll have you. I was literally willing to have him keep working ’cause he is productive.
[00:47:39] Aaron: Wow.
[00:47:39] Brad: So I’m like, all right bro, you gotta do, you gotta check in with me every four hours.
[00:47:42] Brad: You gotta do this, you gotta do this. The daily report of everything you did, and you gotta keep producing at the level you’ve been producing. It can’t go down. Right. Pretty, pretty reasonable, right?
[00:47:50] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:47:50] Brad: Like. The guy literally missed three days of work and was out of like,
[00:47:53] Aaron: yeah,
[00:47:54] Brad: yeah, yeah. Right. Because he’s on drugs.
[00:47:55] Brad: So I’m like, okay, and you gotta like prove to me that you’re, you went to rehab.
[00:47:58] Aaron: Mm-hmm.
[00:47:59] Brad: So he actually did [00:48:00] that starts, and then by the end of that week, he was already off the reservation again. So I finally, I had to do a v email off the
[00:48:05] Aaron: reservation means what? Like,
[00:48:06] Brad: he went on another bender.
[00:48:07] Aaron: Okay. Yeah.
[00:48:08] Brad: Yeah, because he had more, he had more money, had more drugs left over. I know.
[00:48:11] Aaron: I,
[00:48:11] Brad: so, so here’s, here’s the, where this goes is I had to do it via email ’cause I couldn’t get in touch with ’em. Like, Hey, we can’t continue. Having you work here ’cause you’re not physically here. Yeah. So, and it was super sad because that guy was the first sales guy I ever hired.
[00:48:24] Brad: Wow. He’s actually the person who I got our sales like system to work with.
[00:48:29] Aaron: Wow.
[00:48:30] Brad: And like literally built the, like the first year of having other people sell the company started with him.
[00:48:35] Aaron: Mm-hmm.
[00:48:35] Brad: Super pivotal role. Uh, that he, he wound up, he, we had to let him go. He left, whatever that was in 2021. Mm-hmm.
[00:48:46] Brad: Probably. Mm-hmm. No, actually in 2022 last year he died, he OD’ed on heroin. Oh man. Yeah. Yeah. That is actually the logical conclusion of heavy drug use. Wow. Is the person winds up ODing. Right. [00:49:00] Wow. Like it, that happens all the time.
[00:49:03] Aaron: Wow.
[00:49:03] Brad: Yeah. So, dude, it’s like,
[00:49:06] Aaron: and, and can I just say one thing? Yeah. I know a person who was in hr
[00:49:10] Brad: mm-hmm.
[00:49:10] Aaron: In a company, uh, in sales.
[00:49:13] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:49:13] Aaron: And she told me something kind of similar. Mm-hmm. Her life was around having to figure out when you got a new salesperson, they did well not to pay them too fast.
[00:49:24] Brad: Mm-hmm. ‘
[00:49:25] Aaron: cause she had a history. She was on this role for a long time. Hiring salespeople coming in.
[00:49:28] Brad: Yeah.
[00:49:29] Aaron: And like.
[00:49:31] Aaron: When she first started the job
[00:49:32] Brad: mm-hmm.
[00:49:32] Aaron: All the commissions were upfront.
[00:49:33] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:49:34] Aaron: And they always went on heavy, heavy drugs.
[00:49:37] Brad: Yeah.
[00:49:38] Aaron: And then they, they would, they would be lost. Yeah. Od or this or something.
[00:49:40] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:49:41] Aaron: And she’s like, you have to figure out how, like we wanna pay them, but when you pay them too much Yeah.
[00:49:45] Aaron: That actually ha, that’s actually a real thing. Yeah. Like, it’s not your scenario.
[00:49:48] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:49:49] Aaron: It is not any isolated incident. Yeah.
[00:49:51] Brad: That’s
[00:49:52] Aaron: right. Unfortunately, some people mm-hmm. When they’re addicts, I get, I don’t know what, what drives it, but then they get this check. [00:50:00] They gotta go do the Scarface thing.
[00:50:01] Brad: Unhinged. Yeah. They just poof the, the, the, the brakes come off on the, on the bad habits.
[00:50:05] Aaron: And people think like, well, why can’t I make money? Because when you make money, you know you’re gonna do something stupid. So you have to stop yourself from making money.
[00:50:11] Brad: That’s
[00:50:11] Aaron: right. That’s right. ’cause if you make money now you know, you, you possibly will literally die.
[00:50:14] Aaron: So you’re
[00:50:15] Brad: That’s right,
[00:50:15] Aaron: man. Oh
[00:50:16] Brad: yeah. That’s right.
[00:50:17] Aaron: That’s crazy by
[00:50:17] Brad: the way. Isn’t that crazy? Isn’t that insane? We gotta bleep that ones again. Sorry.
[00:50:22] Aaron: Don’t
[00:50:22] Brad: worry, dude. Dude, it’s insane, bro, because the, the, the crazy thing about that is like, I had a front row seat to that. Mm-hmm. You know what I mean? Mm-hmm.
[00:50:29] Brad: I’m like literally in the, I’m like, wow. And then, you know, you did a check
[00:50:33] Aaron: and then that’s,
[00:50:34] Brad: yeah. Yeah. Exactly. So, man, the, the positive side of that
[00:50:39] Aaron: mm-hmm.
[00:50:40] Brad: Is I then find Scientology.
[00:50:41] Aaron: Yep.
[00:50:42] Brad: Or I, I had, you know, found Scientology prior to that, but like now I, there’s, there’s actually this technology where.
[00:50:48] Brad: People have successfully used it. There’s countless stories of people who were in the same position that Wes was in.
[00:50:53] Aaron: Mm-hmm.
[00:50:54] Brad: Like about to actually od possibly end their life. Cool. You have right on the edge have
[00:50:57] Aaron: days in your
[00:50:58] Brad: life, bro. Grant was there. [00:51:00] Grant Cardone was at that. At that precipice.
[00:51:02] Aaron: Mm-hmm.
[00:51:03] Brad: And literally for him, it would’ve been the book Dianetics that flipped it. We gotta get him on here to talk about that dynamics specifically. But Tom, same deal. Right? It got flipped and then now, boom. They’re, they’re, you know, grant’s a billionaire or Tom’s knocking on the door being a billionaire, like, and amazing life, beautiful life.
[00:51:23] Brad: If you
[00:51:23] Aaron: trust yourself, I think that’s the key thing.
[00:51:24] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:51:26] Aaron: If you trust yourself, what you’re gonna do with all this money, like mm-hmm. You can even go and make it. Yeah. Because if, you know, you get the money and that’s gonna happen, you have to be in that fight, that fight that you may or may not know you have.
[00:51:35] Brad: Yep.
[00:51:36] Aaron: Right. Like, there’s some reservation. Anyway. I think this is a, a, a great talk on this. Yeah. Yeah. Um, I think the solutions are a great idea, like, listen. Drug dealing in my eyes. Mm-hmm. It’s not a petty crime. Oh yeah. If we adopt a Singapore thing, like a lot of the issues that occur mm-hmm. Happen after the drug use.
[00:51:55] Brad: Yep.
[00:51:56] Aaron: Crimes, all these different things od people dying. Like, yeah. [00:52:00] What other penalty could you have? That’s worse. That’s so, we’ll see if we get up that petition.
[00:52:05] Brad: Yeah.
[00:52:05] Aaron: Okay. Yeah,
[00:52:06] Brad: yeah,
[00:52:06] Aaron: yeah. And then otherwise share this, all this drug education, like just talk about it.
[00:52:10] Brad: Yeah.
[00:52:10] Aaron: I think conversation is the, is very powerful.
[00:52:12] Aaron: Yeah. And then of course. Seizing things at the border.
[00:52:15] Brad: That’s right.
[00:52:15] Aaron: Like that.
[00:52:16] Brad: Yeah. I love
[00:52:16] Aaron: that. That that is huge.
[00:52:17] Brad: Yeah. I didn’t really acknowledge that. That is an absolutely fantastic solution, for sure. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:52:22] Aaron: All of the above.
[00:52:22] Brad: Okay, good. Well reminder scientology.org/drugs. Don’t do nothing.
[00:52:27] Aaron: There you go.
[00:52:28] Aaron: Don’t do nothing, podcast. That’s peace.
