It’s so funny to me that literally the attacks on Scientology are so easy to see through. There was a video that said “Suppressive Person What Scientologists are Forbidden From Knowing” LOL!!! Wait so if Scientologists can not know about it… then how is it what Scientologists believe? It’s one way or the other folks.
Anyway, there’s a ton of information on what a Suppressive Person is, for anyone beginning Scientology or for veterans. An introductory course that has the full definition is available for free online as the “Cause of Suppression” Course. You can see the definition of a Suppressive Person (SP) is synonymous with an Anti-Social Personality, which is defined as “An Anti-Social Personality, then, is a person who is against any individual, activity or group that works to help others improve.” further in the course, there’s a breakdown of 12 characteristics of SPs, and also explains how you must also evaluate the same person on the characteristics of the Social personality, otherwise you can get a sort of a witch trial where there’s only a test for the negative part (Aka like a test where someone asks an innocent person “Do you still beat your wife?” no matter the answer, the guy would be found guilty.
One amazing thing about social personalities (which very likely you are) is that they are able to look at themselves and improve. So there is this section on the course that says “However, the list given earlier [of Anti-social personalities] is made up of things which such a personality cannot see in himself. This is so true that if you thought you displayed one of the characteristics in the list, you most certainly are not an Anti-Social Personality. So, if you literally have wondered, or been told by someone that YOU are a suppressive person, and you started to wonder whether or not you were, etc. that’s proof there that you can self-introspect and are thus a social personality. “Only the sane person tries to correct his behavior.”
You’ve FOR SURE met Suppressive People in your life. An estimated 2.5% of all people are truly dangerous anti-socials. So, roughly one out of every 40 people you meet will be found to be anti-social. These are people who truly do evil things – murder, rape, destroy families, destroy the reputation of innocent people, etc.
If people like this could really be isolated and known, we would not have the trouble of really trusting people only to be backstabbed later. We could live much better lives, since really the problems in the world are caused by a small percentage of people, and we would all benefit if we didn’t fall for their lies & hatred.
One of the things that the SP uses to hide their destructive tendencies is that they will support groups that destroy “in the name of help”. If you can think of some example on your own of people telling you to do bad things “for your own good” or that it will be much better that way, you might be able to see why these people are not always easy to spot.
Examples of people that are “declared” a suppressive person: Someone who has stolen hundreds of thousands of dollars from an employer or friend; a person who embezzled millions of dollars from honest people; a person who pretended to help as a counselor but instead had sexual liberties with their intended patient. In Scientology, these kinds of actions are not tolerated, and you cannot be part of the Church if you are actively committing felonies.
There are programs that can help criminals recover (Criminon for people who are in prisons) and become better people, and just because a person committed a crime in the past does not make them a suppressive person. But anyone who is still on that path, cannot be a Scientologist and would be declared a Suppressive Person so others do not trust them or associate with them, as they’ve proven by their actions they are nothing but trouble.
