[00:00:00] Ashley: Before Scientology, I was a stripper and I did OnlyFans.
[00:00:04] Brad: We both would constantly talk about like, okay, how are we gonna transition you out of this?
[00:00:09] Aaron: How did you get onto that path in the first place?
[00:00:12] Ashley: What I was looking for was freedom and money and what’s really like advertised in the world is stripping and OnlyFans for girls.
[00:00:20] Ashley: Like that was like, that’s how you get freedom. That’s how you get money. It’s actually a total lie. You don’t get any freedom. You actually get more trapped. I was told that only celebrities were allowed to go there, but the building was so huge and it was beautiful and I was always just like, how many celebrities are Scientologists?
[00:00:34] Ashley: You go from like being like, we’re gonna be together forever and it’s gonna be so awesome to, then it becomes like a confront drill, like we’re gonna be together forever. Like, oh my god.
[00:00:45] Whitney: All right. Welcome to the Don’t Do Nothing podcast. Woo. And today we have our special guest, Ashley Bason. Good job. And she is not only a mother of two, but she’s this [00:01:00] amazing powerhouse that has been backing up her incredible husband, Brad, who you all know.
[00:01:05] Brad: That’s me.
[00:01:05] Whitney: Um, building their empire, building their company in the last seven years. They’ve literally 20 XD their company. Okay. So let’s give her an applause and we wanna hear from her.
[00:01:23] Whitney: I know That’s applause.
[00:01:25] Brad: Good addition.
[00:01:26] Whitney: Okay. So, um, we were just talking right before this. Yeah. And, um, I wanted to really understand, so you’ve been working with your husband and how did that, how did that start? At the beginning, like why did you guys decide to, to, to embark on this journey of working together?
[00:01:46] Brad: This is gonna be so good.
[00:01:47] Ashley: Okay. So ‘
[00:01:48] Brad: cause the answer to this question alone. Let talk
[00:01:50] Aaron: dude, let her talk.
[00:01:51] Brad: Oh
[00:01:51] Ashley: my gosh. Okay. So I will tell you I wasn’t working with Bradley like the whole time he was at home. Love Bradley at all.
[00:01:57] Brad: Oh yeah. She calls me Brad. Yeah. [00:02:00] So there’s like three him, Bradley people who call me Bradley.
[00:02:02] Brad: It’s like her, my mom, my dad,
[00:02:04] Ashley: and like maybe one other distant relative. What did you say? I’m like, my God, okay. It’s just Bradley now. Yeah. No, but um, I, he was working in home love for I think a couple years I was doing my own thing, um, pre Scientology.
[00:02:19] Whitney: Yeah.
[00:02:20] Ashley: And when we found Scientology, I had done some, um, auditing and, and different things and realized I had to make like an actual life change, career change.
[00:02:30] Ashley: I wouldn’t even call it a career, but a career change. Right. And um, I did initially go and work for somebody’s solar company.
[00:02:39] Whitney: Oh,
[00:02:39] Ashley: and the way they, they were selling solar was a little sketchy, so I didn’t like that. And then on, on top of it, I was like, this feels really weird. I have a husband who owns a business.
[00:02:50] Ashley: Like I could just be helping him grow his business. Yeah. And not helping some other random dude.
[00:02:54] Whitney: Right.
[00:02:55] Ashley: And so I left and I asked Bradley for a job, and it was, [00:03:00] it was like the worst thing I’ve ever had to do. Like I, I, I never wanted to ask, I one never wanted to work for anybody, but on top of it, I never wanted to ask anyone for a job.
[00:03:10] Ashley: So I was like crying on the phone, like, can I please have a job? Like, Aw. And he was like, yeah, of course I would love for you to work for me. So yeah, that’ss amazing. That’s where we started.
[00:03:21] Brad: Yeah. Okay. Can I add some context now?
[00:03:24] Whitney: Yeah.
[00:03:24] Brad: So I think in the, in the interim, in the interim, in the interim, there was one short period of time where you, you actually did work for the company for like a very brief period of time, and then you were just kinda like, I need to do my own thing.
[00:03:38] Ashley: This was when I was living at your parents’ house.
[00:03:40] Brad: Oh yeah. Also that,
[00:03:42] Ashley: wait, when was the other time?
[00:03:43] Brad: Uh, when our office was in Tampa, but also, anyways, God, there’s so many, this is
[00:03:47] Aaron: normal by the way.
[00:03:48] Brad: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:03:49] Aaron: What venturing in venturing your husband away?
[00:03:51] Ashley: Wait, what? What was the other time in Tampa?
[00:03:53] Ashley: Because I just remember working, trying to work for your parents when I was living at their house, and then obviously that didn’t work.
[00:03:59] Brad: Yeah.
[00:03:59] Ashley: And [00:04:00] then I just continued to do my own thing and then it was only after Scientology is when I worked for you.
[00:04:05] Brad: That’s true. Yeah, that’s true.
[00:04:06] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:04:07] Brad: Yeah, that’s right.
[00:04:07] Whitney: How did you find Scientology?
[00:04:10] Ashley: So, I will be honest, I was definitely not looking for it at all. I, at this point, I was in total apathy on like religion. There’s nothing that can be done about anything. It was like, just nothing.
[00:04:23] Whitney: Wow.
[00:04:24] Ashley: Um, Bradley came home and was like, Hey, I toured the Church of Scientology and I started this course and I was definitely like.
[00:04:33] Ashley: Had my own reaction to that. Um, I just had so much false data on what it was Uhhuh and, um, yeah. So I, I took me like a little bit of time, um, to really decide to try it. There’s a couple things that
[00:04:49] Whitney: happened. What was the, what was the turning point that made you feel like, okay, I’m actually interested, I wanna look into this?
[00:04:55] Ashley: It was two things. Yeah. So I, I have always had the stable datum that you [00:05:00] and your partner have to have the same belief system to make things work.
[00:05:04] Whitney: Yeah.
[00:05:04] Ashley: And so when he was like, I’m a Scientologist, I was like, I’m not gonna be a Scientologist. So like, we can’t be together.
[00:05:10] Whitney: Oh.
[00:05:10] Ashley: So I went out to a club one night, and that was like my normal thing that I did.
[00:05:15] Ashley: And for like, the first time ever, I actually looked at the guys in my environment. Mm-hmm. Like just the people. And I was like, oh my God. Like I, it was just the first time that I ever actually confronted, like these were the people I was hanging out with.
[00:05:29] Whitney: Okay.
[00:05:29] Ashley: And all these guys. We’re just, I would never in a million years date any of those people.
[00:05:35] Whitney: Mm-hmm.
[00:05:35] Ashley: And so it made me actually just confront, like, okay, what am I doing? I don’t feel like I’m one of these people, so whatever. And then a couple weeks went by and then Bradley showed me, um, the other button I had on religion was like, I don’t wanna be told what to do, so.
[00:05:49] Whitney: Right. ‘
[00:05:50] Ashley: cause your
[00:05:50] Whitney: self d
[00:05:51] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:05:52] Ashley: Like, I can do whatever I want, which
[00:05:53] Brad: I knew the entire time.
[00:05:55] Ashley: Yeah. So he shown me in one of his course books the line, um, what’s true for [00:06:00] you is true. Yeah. And I was like, okay, interesting. Like, let me try this and see what’s up. Because I was like, if they’re gonna let me determine for myself what’s, what is right and what is wrong, I’m here for it.
[00:06:12] Ashley: So, yeah.
[00:06:13] Whitney: Which I think is one of the most amazing things about Scientology. Like, I don’t know any other religion that you can read the scriptures and doctrine and see Yeah. What is true for you.
[00:06:22] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:06:23] Whitney: And how does that apply to yourself and does it work for you or does it not work for you?
[00:06:27] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:06:27] Whitney: And that’s one of the things I love about Scientology as well.
[00:06:30] Ashley: Yeah,
[00:06:30] Whitney: it’s beautiful.
[00:06:31] Ashley: Yeah, it’s awesome. Yeah.
[00:06:32] Whitney: And then so, um, has Scientology helped you with raising your kids?
[00:06:40] Ashley: Oh, definitely. Yeah. Yeah. Um, I’m trying to think. It, it’s just like made me more aware. I can handle so much more random, like. Just everything. Yeah. Yeah. There was even a point in time where we had one kid.
[00:06:55] Ashley: Mm-hmm. And I was like, this is crazy. Like, I cannot have another one. [00:07:00] I don’t even know what the hell I’m doing. And then Bradley started an action, um, called Superpower.
[00:07:05] Whitney: Okay.
[00:07:06] Ashley: And it made him just wanna like, expand more and do more things. And he was like, we’re gonna have more kids. And I literally started crying.
[00:07:12] Ashley: I’m like, I cannot Bradley have more children. Like, I can’t handle the one that we have. And I started the same action and that handled it. Like I, I could feel like I could have 10 kids right now and be totally fine.
[00:07:24] Whitney: Oh, that’s so beautiful. Yeah.
[00:07:26] Ashley: So it’s awesome.
[00:07:27] Whitney: Wow.
[00:07:29] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:07:30] Whitney: I love that. You know, because in this day and age I’ve seen more and more there, like there’s this kind of societal push to, to like have either no kids Yeah.
[00:07:39] Whitney: Or maybe only one kid.
[00:07:41] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:07:41] Whitney: Right.
[00:07:42] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:07:42] Whitney: And I feel like it’s part of the, the trouble that we have right now today in the society.
[00:07:48] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:07:49] Whitney: And I think that’s beautiful how Scientology actually helped you to, to overcome your own barriers on that.
[00:07:54] Ashley: Yeah. Yeah. Even when I met Bradley, like I think initially I was like, I don’t even want kids.
[00:07:59] Ashley: [00:08:00] Like, which is like,
[00:08:01] Whitney: wow,
[00:08:01] Ashley: something else. But I obviously met him and I was like, wow, I like you enough to have a kid with you. But yeah, Scientology has just made it like, just made me come so much more uptone on family and like having a family and. I, I think we constantly like pushed the number up. Like we were at, oh, we want four kids.
[00:08:20] Ashley: And the other day I’m like, I was like, I think we want six. Like, I, I just want kids, like, I just want a lot of kids and I’m one of 10. So I initially was like, that was one of the reasons I was like, no, that, that was crazy. I don’t ever wanna do that again. But now I Were you the oldest? I was the oldest. So I, I
[00:08:37] Whitney: feel you.
[00:08:37] Ashley: It was always like, you know, they’re watching you like in what you do. I would always used to tell my mom, can you just tell ’em to stop watching? Like that’s, I dunno, like, please don’t look like, don’t look. So, yeah.
[00:08:51] Whitney: That’s cool. Where did you grow up?
[00:08:53] Ashley: I grew up in Newport, Richie. So it’s like
[00:08:55] Whitney: right around here.
[00:08:56] Ashley: Yes. So I, I
[00:08:57] Whitney: can’t even, that’s too amazing. Me too. [00:09:00] What?
[00:09:00] Brad: Yeah.
[00:09:00] Ashley: Yeah. What? When I used to go to, when I used to go to the beach with my friends in high school, I would sea flag. And I used to think like, okay, so I was told that only celebrities were allowed to go there, but the building was so huge and it was beautiful.
[00:09:16] Ashley: And I was always just like, how many celebrities are Scientologists? And also like, also I was like
[00:09:22] Whitney: logical thinking.
[00:09:23] Ashley: Yeah. For me I was like, I exactly would love to be a celebrity. Like who doesn’t wanna be a celebrity? So I was like, I used to always think like, is old Scientology the thing old? Um, probably like 17, 18.
[00:09:34] Ashley: Yeah. So,
[00:09:36] Whitney: and then you were like, sci is Scientology the thing?
[00:09:38] Ashley: Yeah. Like, I mean, that was in the back of my head, like, is it, is it the thing that makes you a celebrity? I mean, if, if there’s that many celebrities that they have to build a building that big, I mean, it might be the thing, but then I kind of just disregarded it, you know?
[00:09:51] Ashley: Yeah. I was like, okay, whatever. But gosh, for the record, um, not only celebrities can go there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Thank you.
[00:09:59] Thank
[00:09:59] Whitney: you for [00:10:00] clarifying
[00:10:00] Ashley: that.
[00:10:01] Brad: To chime in on other episodes, Aaron and I have talked about this and done the math. There is a far higher likelihood of you becoming a billionaire, just statistically as a Scientologist.
[00:10:11] Brad: Sure. Versus not from zero, by the way. Like from nothing. Like if you actually just divide the pop number of populations by total population, then you divide the number of billionaires who practice Scientology, who we know about, by the way.
[00:10:23] Whitney: Mm-hmm.
[00:10:24] Brad: Right? Because versus
[00:10:25] Aaron: total Scientology versus total population, the chances are like much higher.
[00:10:28] Whitney: That makes sense to me. Like a thousand x. Now tell me, why do you think that is? Oh,
[00:10:33] Ashley: why do I think that, that you’re more likely Yeah. That, that statistic
[00:10:36] Whitney: would
[00:10:36] Ashley: be there? Um, because it, I’m trying to think. I know for me, like I’ve kind of learned for myself that like I have more value and I can exchange like more value Yes.
[00:10:49] Ashley: With society. Mm-hmm. And that’s how you make a lot of money is actually exchanging a valuable product.
[00:10:54] Whitney: Right.
[00:10:54] Ashley: So, um, yeah. I I think a lot of people kind of forget that now.
[00:10:59] Whitney: [00:11:00] I agree with you. And then what, what, was there a course that you did that helped you understand like what a valuable product is and how to determine what could be a valuable product?
[00:11:11] Ashley: Um,
[00:11:12] Whitney: is there any
[00:11:12] Ashley: particular course that you did? To be honest, not a course. Okay. I did auditing. Okay. And realized that I was not exchanging a valuable product in life.
[00:11:23] Whitney: Okay.
[00:11:23] Ashley: And, um. Making that switch. Like, and actually just then having the experience of like building something and creating something valuable.
[00:11:32] Whitney: Mm-hmm.
[00:11:32] Ashley: And obviously we’ve done really well doing that, so just seeing it like in action has helped me a lot.
[00:11:38] Aaron: I, I wanna provide a little bit of context. So, uh, Whitney was pretty much born in Scientology. Your parents are Scientologists and you’ve, and Yeah. And Oh wow. So she’s been studying for a long time.
[00:11:48] Aaron: She’s done, so like probably three times as many courses as I have done.
[00:11:51] Brad: Wow.
[00:11:52] Aaron: And probably like 20 times as many courses you guys have done. Yeah. Because you guys are relatively new. You guys started four years ago? Six years ago. Was it
[00:11:56] Brad: four? Uh, yeah, four, four [00:12:00] and a half. So four and a half years
[00:12:00] Aaron: ago. Yeah.
[00:12:00] Aaron: So Whitney basically has done like all, like a lot. She studied a lot of stuff. So just, just kind of putting up there.
[00:12:06] I
[00:12:06] Ashley: have, yeah, I, I read a lot of things in courses that definitely help with that. Um, just my own experience and like making the switch in life was like the biggest thing for me and actually seeing it occur was.
[00:12:18] Ashley: Yeah, great. So before Scientology, I was a stripper and I did OnlyFans and that’s what I was doing when I found Scientology.
[00:12:27] Whitney: Well, you know, actually I’m not that surprised because there’s so many people now on Instagram. As far from what I’ve heard, I don’t actually know for sure, but I’ve heard that you can even have it on your Instagram profile saying that you’re OnlyFans.
[00:12:39] Whitney: And apparently
[00:12:40] Ashley: there’s, you can say that now. Really. I used to get taken down 24 7 for having that. So I, I, I believe that it’s probably progressed that far to where you can just outwardly be like, this’s what I do. Wow. But yeah. Yeah. So I would definitely not call it a career.
[00:12:55] Whitney: Okay.
[00:12:55] Ashley: Um, I just dunno what else to call it.
[00:12:57] Ashley: Like a really criminal, I [00:13:00] dunno, like Yeah,
[00:13:02] Whitney: I know. Criminal
[00:13:03] Ashley: thing
[00:13:03] Whitney: that it is, it’s kind of rough. It’s kind of rough, you know?
[00:13:05] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:13:05] Whitney: That, that’s what’s happening today, but Oh yeah, you found your way out. Yeah. And you were willing to look and open your eyes to see that there was something else out there.
[00:13:14] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:13:15] Whitney: And there was some other path. And what, what do you think was it, what was the determining factor that made you wanna look and see?
[00:13:22] Ashley: So I did, um, an auditing action. What’s called is what’s called a life repair. Okay. And I just remember like, wanting to be right in life, constantly, like never ending, just wanting to be right, even if it was on things that I absolutely should not be right about.
[00:13:39] Ashley: And in that action, I just felt like the auditor just made me so right to the point where I was like, shit, I might be wrong. Like this is, this actually might not be okay for me to do it. It just brought me to the point where I was like, okay, I, I might be wrong. This is actually probably not. Okay. So
[00:13:58] Brad: one
[00:13:58] Whitney: well done.
[00:13:59] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:13:59] Brad: [00:14:00] One, one other thing that I remember very distinctly from that time period. Is us talking about like, ’cause I think on some level, like we both knew that it was like wrong. Obviously I, I knew that this was going on and I was like, yeah. I was like, huge cheerleader for the, for like the probably was
[00:14:17] Ashley: my biggest cheerleader,
[00:14:19] Aaron: the biggest, uh, the biggest, uh, sponsor.
[00:14:21] Brad: That’s right. So, uh, yeah. Anyways, the, the thing that I remember though is that we both would constantly talk about like, okay, how are we gonna transition you out of this?
[00:14:33] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:14:34] Brad: Like, we probably had that conversation 10 times.
[00:14:35] Ashley: Yeah. Oh yeah. At the, at the point where I realized, okay, this is actually wrong, like, spiritually, I don’t wanna do this.
[00:14:42] Ashley: It then came the problem of like, I have literally destroyed all my ability from doing this. Like, when I would actually, like, what do
[00:14:50] Whitney: you mean you destroyed your ability?
[00:14:51] Ashley: Like, when I would go to like, think of like, okay, how am I gonna get out of this? And I did this before Scientology, like, how am I gonna get out of this?
[00:14:57] Ashley: When it came to actually creating, I could not [00:15:00] create, like, there was no solution there. It was just like. So,
[00:15:04] Whitney: so you were stuck in being an only fan stripper situation?
[00:15:07] Ashley: Yeah, basically. And so, yeah. So then when I realized, okay, this is, that’s it’s
[00:15:11] Whitney: it’s a trap.
[00:15:12] Brad: Yeah.
[00:15:12] Ashley: It’s a big trap. It’s fully a trap.
[00:15:13] Whitney: And what, how, what made it like that?
[00:15:15] Whitney: Like what it,
[00:15:17] Ashley: um,
[00:15:17] Whitney: you just had to be doing it because you couldn’t see it.
[00:15:20] Ashley: Yeah. You just couldn’t, like, I don’t, like, I think when you go so long without like actually creating anything, ’cause you’re not cre you’re not creating anything when you’re stripping and doing all pants, like taking your clothes off is not creating like,
[00:15:35] Whitney: right.
[00:15:35] Ashley: So when you go so long without creating and coming up with like really good solutions, you kind of like lose that ability to do that. So when I realized, okay, this is wrong. I, you know, obviously it was like, what do I do next? And I remember telling somebody at the org like, okay, this is great, but like, I have no idea.
[00:15:56] Ashley: Just
[00:15:56] Whitney: everybody knows org means like the, our church.
[00:15:58] Ashley: Yes. Yeah. I went to somebody [00:16:00] at the church and I was like, okay, I need to stop this, but I have no idea how, like, what am I gonna do? And they were like, what’s your skills? Wow. And I was like, my skills are taking my clothes off. Literally. Like, I mean, just to be blunt, like, I was like, I literally have no other skills.
[00:16:17] Ashley: They’re gone. Like, so
[00:16:19] Brad: wow.
[00:16:20] Ashley: I did another auditing action and, um, that helped with that. But yeah.
[00:16:25] Whitney: Ashley, you’re amazing. You got out of that.
[00:16:27] Ashley: Yeah, it was great. I,
[00:16:28] Whitney: holy mackerel. Yeah.
[00:16:30] Ashley: At the end of my,
[00:16:30] Whitney: wow,
[00:16:31] Ashley: at the end of my life repair, I told my otter like, holy shit, this is it. Like, because I, I totally thought that there was nothing on this planet that could work.
[00:16:39] Whitney: Shoot,
[00:16:40] Ashley: and I could not believe it. I also knew that Grant and Elena Cardone were Scientologists. Okay. And I, I think I told Bradley one time, like they’re, they’re not really happy. Like for sure. They’re not really happy. Uh, super nattie.
[00:16:55] Whitney: Yeah.
[00:16:55] Ashley: And at the end of my life repair, I was like, and
[00:16:58] Whitney: Natalie means talking badly about somebody
[00:16:59] Ashley: else.
[00:16:59] Ashley: Yeah. [00:17:00] Like talking badly. And at the end of my life repair, I realized like, oh my God, they’re, they’re probably the happiest people ever. Like they’re probably have a happy marriage, happy life, like, because this is amazing. So yeah, it was just great. It’s awesome.
[00:17:13] Whitney: That
[00:17:13] Aaron: is so beautiful. I, I have a, I have a question too, like, how did you get onto that path in the first place?
[00:17:20] Aaron: Like when did that occur when you kind of. I don’t know. This is before Bradley, I guess. No. Decided
[00:17:28] Ashley: to be,
[00:17:28] Aaron: no. Oh, it was with you. Okay. So
[00:17:30] Ashley: it was right when I found Bradley.
[00:17:32] Aaron: Bradley. Oh, wow.
[00:17:34] Ashley: So, okay. Like I
[00:17:35] Brad: said, biggest cheerleader.
[00:17:37] Ashley: Yeah. So we can go into like all the postulates that I had and decisions that led to it.
[00:17:42] Ashley: But really like at the end of the day, what I was looking for was freedom and money and what’s really like advertised and put out there in the world is stripping and OnlyFans for girls. Like that was like, that’s how you get freedom. That’s how you get money. It’s actually a total lie. You don’t get any [00:18:00] freedom.
[00:18:00] Ashley: You actually get more trapped. Okay.
[00:18:03] Aaron: And when you say it was put out there, was there like someone who did it that told you like you should do it? Or like was there anything that you saw like, or is it just, like I said, every other movie talks about stuff like that,
[00:18:13] Ashley: but like, I was gonna say, movies growing up for me, like I always saw that.
[00:18:15] Ashley: So I would always in the back of my mind be like, I’m gonna do that when I’m older. I, but then I also Googled and. I’m not blaming the Google search, like I was totally looking for it. Mm-hmm. But I Googled how to make money online and at the time it was Webcaming is what popped up. I started with Webcamming.
[00:18:34] Ashley: Okay. Um, which is like, its other thing. But, um, yeah, that’s, that’s how I ended up getting into that. And, and I also wanted, I didn’t wanna let go of like, the idea of being in like a 2D or like a relationship.
[00:18:47] Whitney: Yeah.
[00:18:48] Ashley: So I met Bradley and I brought up the concept to him ’cause I was like, I want both, like, I want like the normal marriage.
[00:18:57] Ashley: I wanna have kids, a family, but I also want to do [00:19:00] this. And so I was like, is this okay? And he was like, yeah, totally fine. And then I went from there and started. So.
[00:19:07] Brad: The,
[00:19:07] Ashley: it was horrible. It was the worst decision I ever made.
[00:19:09] Brad: Oh, yeah. Yeah. Just
[00:19:10] Ashley: to be clear. Yeah.
[00:19:11] Brad: Yeah. So on, on the episode where Erin interviews me, I said several times, like, ’cause there’s, there’s a whole, you know, her side and, and then my side and they’re equally bad.
[00:19:20] Brad: I had my own stuff going on at the time, but it was kinda like, if, if you want, uh, your relationship to be miserable, if you just want your life to be miserable, like do this, do this type of stuff.
[00:19:30] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:19:31] Brad: Because this type of stuff, it just makes your whole life miserable. Yeah. And in inexplicable ways, like ways that make sense when you actually like learn about how the mind works and how groups operate and how a, a relationship is supposed to work.
[00:19:43] Brad: Right?
[00:19:44] Whitney: Yeah.
[00:19:44] Brad: Um, like we just finished doing all the, all the marriage courses, which are phenomenal,
[00:19:48] Whitney: right? Yeah.
[00:19:48] Brad: And like, if you go into this sphere of activity, like your life will go down the drain, basically. Oh, it’s, and it’s very hard to get out of. The other thing is. [00:20:00] I remember like so distinctly you even still sometimes get questions about, I notice is whenever you would bring up that, that’s what you did, other, other women would ask you like, I’m so interested.
[00:20:11] Brad: I’ve always, it’s like, so it’s so, ’cause they’re, ’cause it’s advertised as like, this great thing, be free. Be a strong in like literally realize that that’s what like the insane kind of like mainstream media. And I mean if you look at it, it’s really a psychiatrist driven thing of like the free love type thing, right?
[00:20:31] Brad: Yeah. Like that strong, independent woman is like the morally loose woman. Yeah. Right. That, that all is like what that world is like. Glorified as, but it’s, it’s actually a living hell.
[00:20:42] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:20:43] Ashley: Did did it sucks.
[00:20:43] Brad: Yeah.
[00:20:44] Aaron: It’s almost the opposite of like motherly, like motherly having children. Like it’s kind of like the polar opposite.
[00:20:50] Ashley: Yeah,
[00:20:51] Brad: that’s right.
[00:20:52] Aaron: I mean, assuming you had I guess made friends and people where a lot of. People having children?
[00:20:57] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:20:57] Aaron: In, in, in that sphere.
[00:20:59] Ashley: Oh yeah, [00:21:00] definitely. Yeah. Yeah. I had a friend that like, she was five months pregnant. Stripping. Yeah. And
[00:21:07] Brad: Oh yeah. When you say ha when you say having children, it’s like, yes, they were having babies, but they were not being mothers to the chil.
[00:21:14] Brad: Mm-hmm. Yeah. It’s like when you enter then kids into that situation, it’s like, that’s disgusting, honestly. Like I, and yeah, we like, that’s, you know,
[00:21:23] Whitney: it’s rough. So wait a minute, there’s kids stuff going on and OnlyFans too? No,
[00:21:26] Brad: no, no, no, no. Sorry. I, no, I just, there like, there, there were girls who worked at, at strip clubs where she worked who had kids, but then were still strippers after they had kids.
[00:21:37] Whitney: Yeah. Oh.
[00:21:37] Brad: So it’d be like, if you ask the kid, what’s your mom do? Like she does, she goes to the club at night would be the answer, you know? Oh
[00:21:43] Ashley: yeah. Oh
[00:21:44] Whitney: wow.
[00:21:44] Brad: It’s just rough.
[00:21:45] Whitney: That
[00:21:45] Ashley: is rough.
[00:21:45] Brad: Yeah. Okay.
[00:21:47] Ashley: Yeah. So
[00:21:48] Aaron: maybe I shouldn’t ask that question. I’ll say, oh, yeah, I don’t, I didn’t know that was gonna be the answer.
[00:21:52] Ashley: No, it’s fine. Sorry. I mean, just to like, no, no. Yeah, yeah, yeah. She like, bro, it’s the reality up to five months, like could strip and then Yeah. [00:22:00] But it was just, for me, that was weird to see, you know? Yeah. But
[00:22:03] Whitney: for sure.
[00:22:04] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:22:06] Whitney: So did you, did you do the marriage courses together?
[00:22:09] Ashley: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Yeah, we actually did, um, marriage counseling.
[00:22:12] Ashley: Okay. And then we did all that courses. How
[00:22:15] Whitney: that help you tell me how this helped
[00:22:16] Ashley: you. Oh, it, it was great. We’ve obviously from that lifestyle, we had so many overts against each other,
[00:22:22] Whitney: or it’s our transgressions that you do against somebody else.
[00:22:25] Ashley: Yeah. Like bad things that you do. Yeah. Bad things towards somebody.
[00:22:28] Whitney: Yeah.
[00:22:28] Ashley: Um, and you know, we just had so much of that and just even still like four years later, like all, it was just all, a lot of it was still there in our marriage specifically. And so, um, yeah, it was great. Just.
[00:22:46] Brad: And up thing The past.
[00:22:47] Ashley: Yeah,
[00:22:48] Brad: the past. Yeah. Yeah. And it’s like, even though like for, for the past like four years, honestly, we both kind of like straightened up, like boom, like, like instant ethics change
[00:22:57] Ashley: clearly.
[00:22:58] Ashley: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Literally on an [00:23:00] individual level, we were, we were doing great. Yeah. Just marriage wise.
[00:23:04] Brad: Yeah. But, but we still had all those, you know, we’ve been, we’re at like five, nine years now together. We had that whole five year history Yeah. Of all of the things that we had done to each other and in relation to each other that were wrong, that were still sitting there bothering each of us.
[00:23:19] Brad: Right. Oh. So like actually getting all of that kind of just out in the open was like, I mean, just kind of like getting the relief of all that was like
[00:23:27] Ashley: Yeah. It was great.
[00:23:28] Brad: Magical. Yeah.
[00:23:30] Whitney: That’s so beautiful.
[00:23:31] Brad: Yeah.
[00:23:31] Whitney: So when did you do the marriage counseling?
[00:23:33] Ashley: We did it like a month ago, right?
[00:23:35] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:23:35] Ashley: At this point,
[00:23:36] Brad: yeah.
[00:23:36] Brad: We just did it.
[00:23:36] Ashley: Yeah. Great.
[00:23:39] Whitney: So beautiful.
[00:23:39] Brad: Yeah.
[00:23:41] Whitney: How did it, did it, did it help you with your children and. Being with your kids and
[00:23:46] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:23:46] Whitney: How did it change?
[00:23:48] Ashley: Um, well, I, I’ve had this on multiple actions that I’ve done in Scientology, but it was like more so on this where I was like, I should probably wear my [00:24:00] hat more as the wife and the mom and not constantly be trying to like, okay, I love working, so I don’t wanna, like, you know, it’s great if you work, but for me, I was just like, I always thought of stay at home moms.
[00:24:13] Ashley: Like, as, like, I definitely, I was like, Ugh, I don’t wanna do that. That’s, I guess, a lazy thing to do, but it’s really, it is pushed,
[00:24:21] Whitney: somehow, it is pushed into society when it’s one of
[00:24:24] Ashley: the
[00:24:24] Whitney: hardest things you can do. Mm-hmm.
[00:24:25] Ashley: Yes. Mm-hmm. Yeah. And so I basically just confronted that. I was like, I really should wear my hat as the wife and the mom wore, and yeah.
[00:24:35] Ashley: So
[00:24:35] Whitney: that’s amazing.
[00:24:36] Ashley: And then we made the decision yesterday that that is what I’m gonna do, so
[00:24:40] Whitney: Oh my goodness.
[00:24:41] Ashley: Yeah, it was great. Wow.
[00:24:43] Brad: Yeah.
[00:24:43] Ashley: Yeah. So
[00:24:45] Whitney: your children are gonna benefit so much from that.
[00:24:47] Ashley: Yeah. I’m excited.
[00:24:48] Whitney: So beautiful.
[00:24:49] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:24:50] Whitney: You know, raising our children, it’s like they’re the, they’re the next generation.
[00:24:53] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:24:54] Whitney: Such a beautiful investment.
[00:24:55] Ashley: Yeah. Yeah. And, and previous to like all the [00:25:00] auditing that I’ve done, like, I was definitely in the mindset of like, they’ll figure it out themselves. Like they make their own decisions. ’cause like for me as a kid, I was like, there was nobody who was gonna tell me what to do.
[00:25:11] Ashley: So it was just like, it was just a confused thought. So I was like, they’re gonna be the same. They’re gonna do whatever. I don’t need to be there to like parent them. And that’s just not, for now, that is not my viewpoint. I’m like, no, I can definitely be there. Help them. You know?
[00:25:28] Whitney: That’s so cool.
[00:25:29] Ashley: Yeah. So.
[00:25:31] Whitney: Okay.
[00:25:31] Whitney: And then that, so I was just wondering, because you said you also did the marriage courses afterwards.
[00:25:36] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:25:37] Whitney: So, you know, Erin and I obviously were married too and we have done the marriage courses. But how, what did, how did that
[00:25:45] Ashley: help you? Um, it gave me a lot of data on how to like, interact with your, like husband.
[00:25:54] Whitney: Yeah.
[00:25:55] Ashley: Um, just in a way that actually keeps things going in the right [00:26:00] direction. So I love that. I mean, even just that like I would Yeah, just how to communicate with your partner,
[00:26:06] Whitney: which is such a big deal.
[00:26:07] Ashley: Right. Yeah. ‘
[00:26:08] Whitney: cause otherwise there can be lots of fights.
[00:26:10] Ashley: Yeah. Oh yeah. Yeah. Definitely.
[00:26:13] Whitney: So you guys been married for you how long now?
[00:26:15] Whitney: Or you’ve been together for nine years, right?
[00:26:18] Ashley: Yeah. Yeah. Okay.
[00:26:19] Whitney: Um,
[00:26:20] Ashley: together for a long time. Okay.
[00:26:22] Whitney: Is there any, is there anything that you have applied since finding Scientology that has helped you both? To, you know, keep that relationship alive and moving forward successfully while also having children, while also being business owners.
[00:26:40] Ashley: Yeah. Um,
[00:26:46] Ashley: for me, like it was really just putting ethics in on my life was like the thing that actually fixed it because I was constantly like, and just taking responsibility for every choice I had made. [00:27:00] ’cause before that I was like constantly blaming Bradley. Like, I was like, he was the why. He was the reason why I was like stripping.
[00:27:07] Ashley: I was like, you know, it was just kind of
[00:27:09] Aaron: true.
[00:27:09] Ashley: It was, I it’s kind of true, but it’s also
[00:27:14] Aaron: Oh no. True. But no. But of course like at the end of the day,
[00:27:19] Ashley: yeah,
[00:27:20] Aaron: but still, but you know,
[00:27:23] Ashley: yeah. So it was me. There was obviously that factor. He has his own responsibility point, but for me, I’m like, oh my
[00:27:28] Brad: gosh.
[00:27:29] Ashley: Like he wasn’t the only reason.
[00:27:30] Ashley: I also just decided. Of
[00:27:32] Aaron: course, I mean, you
[00:27:32] Ashley: also asked him,
[00:27:33] Aaron: right? I guess like,
[00:27:34] Ashley: yeah, which was also super messed up. The fact that I couldn’t make my own decision. I had to like ask him like, so much stuff. Like now when I look back I’m like, oh my God. Like I couldn’t even just make my own decision of like, this is what I’m doing.
[00:27:47] Ashley: So, yeah. Yeah, it’s just helped a lot.
[00:27:50] Whitney: Okay,
[00:27:51] Aaron: good. I, I have a question with like, I will say in the business side, right? Like, for [00:28:00] me, Whitney is like the re I mean, like, I, I don’t know. I could have failed so many times, like by myself, right? Mm-hmm.
[00:28:08] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:28:08] Aaron: And the role that Whitney played has been so v like so many different points of like.
[00:28:16] Aaron: Saving the business from bankruptcy. Like, you know, things like that, right? Yeah. Like just small pieces. No, I’m kidding. So, but there’s also, of course, like the, in the relationship part, like talking things over and like, things like that. So there’s so many pieces that I think the wife plays in, in the business, of course.
[00:28:35] Aaron: Like you, hey, you’re gonna go onto this, you know, uh, full-time, kind of stay at home mom. And then how do you think that’s gonna play out? Like, in the business? Like,
[00:28:44] Brad: yeah. Yeah.
[00:28:45] Aaron: I don’t know. Who’s the
[00:28:46] Brad: Well, the thing, the thing, so I’ll, I’ll start. So the thing that Ashley’s been doing is she’s been running, uh, the HR and the marketing piece.
[00:28:53] Brad: So our, our marketing at this point is a machine. It is like, it, it is an [00:29:00] unstoppable freight train of like, it’s a machine that gets attention for our business. So she built that. Can you
[00:29:06] Aaron: snow?
[00:29:06] Yeah.
[00:29:06] Brad: Yeah. She
[00:29:06] Ashley: created
[00:29:07] Aaron: that.
[00:29:07] Brad: Yes.
[00:29:07] Ashley: Yeah. With the help of Bradley Bradley’s very involved in marketing.
[00:29:10] Brad: Yeah. Yeah. I’m, I’m the face.
[00:29:11] Brad: But she has actually built the backend. Of how it goes. Like, I spend like an hour a week on marketing.
[00:29:18] Aaron: Mm.
[00:29:18] Brad: I go in, I shoot my videos and I’m like, peace guys. Like I hope these do really well. Mm-hmm. And then they handle everything. It’s literally a machine.
[00:29:26] Aaron: Mm.
[00:29:26] Brad: You know, that, that saves me time, but still gets us a ton of attention.
[00:29:30] Brad: In addition to that, she’s also built up the people side of our business so that there’s, we basically are, are surrounded by just like a key group of people and then another tier of people beyond them, of people that we trust who she is basically vetted over time and like, we just have given them more and more responsibility to where they’re basically almost like a part of our family.
[00:29:50] Brad: Mm-hmm. You know? And so like the fact that she’s put that there has, we kind of just realized yesterday when we were talking about it, we’re like, there’s not really anybody we need to watch [00:30:00] at this point. Yeah. Like, we trust them to watch the other people.
[00:30:03] Whitney: Mm-hmm.
[00:30:03] Brad: You know what I mean?
[00:30:04] Whitney: Yep. Yeah.
[00:30:05] Brad: And she put all that there.
[00:30:06] Brad: So o of course there’s still like, I can’t imagine she’s ever just gonna like see something that’s like wrong and just ignore it. There’s always that point of like spotting, like
[00:30:16] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:30:16] Brad: You know that I think like the, the wife or the, or the like lead woman always kind of like carries that responsibility of like spotting the people who are like, what’s he doing?
[00:30:27] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:30:27] Brad: You know,
[00:30:27] Whitney: it was a sense.
[00:30:29] Brad: Yeah, that’s right. Yeah. Kind of a BA almost like a BS detective or No. BS type of
[00:30:35] Whitney: Yeah.
[00:30:35] Brad: Viewpoint. That’s how I would answer the question is like she set it up so that this can occur.
[00:30:42] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:30:43] Whitney: That’s beautiful. I agree. Yeah.
[00:30:45] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:30:46] Whitney: So I wanted to say a successful action for Erin and I.
[00:30:48] Whitney: What One of the things that we’ve done in our marriage is, um, to never go to bed with an upset. Like something that is,
[00:30:57] Brad: we violated that one. Whitney,
[00:30:59] Ashley: we’ve [00:31:00] definitely violated.
[00:31:01] Whitney: No,
[00:31:02] Ashley: I think it. I think that’s an awesome tip
[00:31:04] Whitney: though. Yeah,
[00:31:06] Brad: that’s a great, that’s a great point.
[00:31:07] Whitney: So, and, and I’m telling you, like in some cases we will have to stay up until one or 2:00 AM sorting out whatever it is.
[00:31:14] Aaron: It hasn’t happened in a while, though.
[00:31:15] Whitney: It hasn’t happened in a while. I think it’s, it used to happen earlier
[00:31:17] Aaron: or something. It’s, it used to
[00:31:19] Whitney: happen earlier
[00:31:20] Ashley: in
[00:31:20] Whitney: our
[00:31:20] Ashley: relationship.
[00:31:21] Aaron: It’s probably happened like three or four times
[00:31:23] Whitney: like
[00:31:23] Aaron: that.
[00:31:24] Whitney: Right. But it never, it doesn’t usually get like that bad, but it has happened before.
[00:31:29] Whitney: But I’m just telling you, we are like, seriously, like no nonsense about that rule for us. Mm-hmm. And it’s something that we, um, found out about also in Scientology. Um, you know, making sure that you don’t ever go to sleep.
[00:31:42] Aaron: I, I’ll have the, I’ll have the, uh, I need to get the book and share and put the quote in.
[00:31:47] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:31:47] Aaron: But, uh, I’ll have to put the quote, we’ll take a picture. I’m gonna quote it, but there’s a secret in there. You guys did, you guys, did you, you can, did you do a mar uh, al marriage or no?
[00:31:57] Ashley: Yeah. Yeah.
[00:31:58] Aaron: Okay. So
[00:31:59] Brad: yeah,
[00:31:59] Aaron: so if [00:32:00] you, if you on, on the, on, on that ceremony. There’s actually a way to solve the problem.
[00:32:05] Aaron: It’s not just don’t go to sleep anger. There’s actually how to do it. Did you know this?
[00:32:09] Brad: Mm Oh, it’s in the ministers book? Yeah.
[00:32:11] Aaron: Yeah. It’s in
[00:32:11] Brad: the minister’s book. I have the minister’s book in my office.
[00:32:13] Ashley: Oh, okay. Yeah.
[00:32:13] Aaron: So if you guys open it up, it says how you heal the, the upset.
[00:32:16] Brad: Oh.
[00:32:17] Aaron: And it’s,
[00:32:18] Ashley: that’s,
[00:32:19] Aaron: I want, I don’t have the word
[00:32:21] Brad: put.
[00:32:21] Brad: Is it, is it acknowledging that, that the husband was right?
[00:32:23] Ashley: No. Okay. It is not that.
[00:32:25] Aaron: No, no, no.
[00:32:26] Brad: I’m just kidding. I’m just
[00:32:27] Aaron: kidding. We’ll, we’ll put the quote, I’m gonna paraphrase as close as possible, and I’ll make sure it’s in the quotes in this video.
[00:32:31] Ashley: Yeah, yeah.
[00:32:31] Aaron: But it’s something like Heal the Upset through communicating your love of each other.
[00:32:37] Brad: Wow. Wow. That’s awesome. That makes sense. That
[00:32:39] Aaron: totally makes sense. You actually like
[00:32:41] Brad: that. Totally. Yeah.
[00:32:42] Aaron: You know, instead of like, oh, this is what’s wrong, instead of that. Mm-hmm. Instead of like this bickering. Mm-hmm. Yeah, we, we didn’t, I hadn’t read that like, and we read it, but like I forgot about it.
[00:32:50] Aaron: Right. You read it, you get married three years later when you need it. I hadn’t totally forgotten that existed. And then as someone else’s married, I listen to it and I go. And so you actually, [00:33:00] that is the way you solve it. Wow. Yeah. So, we’ll, we’ll, we’ll put, we’ll get the quote in, but I’m just, that’s,
[00:33:04] Ashley: yeah.
[00:33:05] Ashley: That’s a
[00:33:05] Brad: good
[00:33:05] Aaron: thing
[00:33:05] Brad: to, that’s beautiful.
[00:33:06] Ashley: Yeah, dude. Before, like even knowing about the marriage counseling, I, because you get to a point, like, I think every pro, everyone probably gets to this point, I’m not totally sure, but like, you go from like being like, we’re gonna be together forever and it’s gonna be so awesome to, then it becomes like a confront drill.
[00:33:23] Ashley: Like, we’re gonna be together forever. Like, oh my God. Like, and you’re just like, I was like, there’s no way. Like how, this is just impossible. I don’t even know. I was like, I don’t even understand how people are married with Brett. And then when I, with me talked to somebody at the church, they were like, oh, there’s this marriage counseling thing.
[00:33:41] Ashley: I’m like, and just doing that, like totally saved. Our marriage and my viewpoint on that. ’cause I was like, there’s no way I could stay married to the same person for like, I was thinking of the next 50 years with Bradley. And I was like,
[00:33:55] Aaron: oh,
[00:33:56] Ashley: oh my God. Like, I mean, I love him, but like, [00:34:00] it was just, it’s a lot, you know?
[00:34:01] Ashley: And so there’s
[00:34:02] Brad: a reason we’re on opposite ends of the table today. No, just kidding. Just kidding. We just wanted to do boys, girls. This is just how it ended up.
[00:34:09] Ashley: But, but no, it, it just helps so much and changed my entire viewpoint and I actually like really believe in marriage now. I’m like, oh, it can work.
[00:34:17] Ashley: Absolutely. It’s just so
[00:34:17] Whitney: awesome. Absolutely. That’s so beautiful.
[00:34:19] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:34:21] Whitney: What, what high school, I’m sorry, what?
[00:34:23] Brad: Well, one, one thing that, one thing that I wanted to, wanted to add is like, um, a thing that Scientology doesn’t get enough credit for. Yeah. And really Elron Hubbard doesn’t get enough credit for is putting the, the, the simple.
[00:34:37] Brad: Handlings and technology there in writing to save the family unit. Because the family unit, just like religion, like we’ve talked about before, the family unit is under attack on this planet.
[00:34:48] Whitney: It is
[00:34:49] Brad: like, this is a, this is a known datum. This isn’t just like a Scientology thing. This is like, yeah. Birth rate is like down statistically everything.
[00:34:55] Brad: Oh, yeah. It’s like all major religious people acknowledge this. It’s like [00:35:00] Muslims, Christians, Scientologists, like Mormons. They all know. They’re like, oh, wow. There’s a growing movement out there that’s trying to destroy the family unit.
[00:35:08] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:35:09] Brad: Now the thing that Scientology adds, which is actually a new factor, is a technology for actually resolving the things that rip a family unit apart.
[00:35:21] Brad: Right? Right. Like the, the overts we talked about the, the transgressions against your partner and actually how do you not continuously do those again and again and again? Like what’s the solve? You know, like they, there’s actually a solution for that,
[00:35:32] Whitney: right?
[00:35:33] Brad: Uh, so. Anyways.
[00:35:35] Whitney: And there are reasons that you continually do it over and over and over.
[00:35:38] Whitney: Yeah, that’s right. And Scientology has the, the actual technology to be able to help you to be able to get rid of those.
[00:35:45] Brad: Yeah. ’cause it’s, it, that’s exactly, and I’m like, thinking of all the things where that’s happened for me, like the things that I couldn’t stop doing, then all of a sudden I handle it with a piece of Scientology technology, then I don’t have to do it anymore.
[00:35:57] Brad: And I’m like, where did that [00:36:00] urge even go? It’s gone.
[00:36:01] Whitney: I,
[00:36:02] Brad: I know that’s real. It’s everybody here. So, um. Yeah. The, the thing, I forgot where I was gonna go with that. I agree. Yeah. There’s something that’s gonna come back to me on that. It’s a huge thought, like this thing. Anyways, it’s fine.
[00:36:16] Whitney: Okay.
[00:36:16] Brad: Yeah. All good.
[00:36:17] Whitney: Beautiful.
[00:36:17] Brad: Yeah.
[00:36:18] Whitney: Okay. So I was wondering, did you grow up with any kind of faith?
[00:36:21] Ashley: Yeah, my family was Southern Baptist.
[00:36:24] Whitney: Oh, okay.
[00:36:24] Ashley: So, um, yeah, we went to church every Sunday. My, my parents actually like, um, are Christians, like, they really like apply the things that they learn, so That’s beautiful. Yeah. It, it’s great.
[00:36:38] Ashley: Um, but yeah. Did
[00:36:41] Aaron: you, did you ever get into it at any time in your life?
[00:36:43] Ashley: I try to multiple times. It just never fixed the problem for me. Hmm. I, I will tell you, like, I, I would do, um, what is it called? Like, you know, where you drink, like the fake wine and the eat the bread.
[00:36:56] Brad: Communion.
[00:36:57] Ashley: Yeah. You like communion.
[00:36:58] Ashley: You like, it’s like, I think [00:37:00] you. You basically like are forgiven for all your sins and so, and you make like a new, you know,
[00:37:05] Aaron: and you, and you, you do a confession too? No, no,
[00:37:08] Ashley: no, no. That’s only Catholics. Just Catholics.
[00:37:10] Aaron: Oh, Catholic.
[00:37:11] Brad: Yeah. Yeah.
[00:37:11] Aaron: Oh, really?
[00:37:12] Brad: Yeah.
[00:37:13] Aaron: Oh, I, oh, ’cause Catholic. Yeah. Okay, fine. Keep going.
[00:37:16] Aaron: Keep going.
[00:37:17] Ashley: Yeah. So like, you would make a new decision to like, not continue sinning. And I, I actually like that, like, it’s not a bad thing. Just, it never, it just never really handled the core problem for me. Like, I would make a decision and be like, I absolutely don’t wanna keep doing whatever this is.
[00:37:36] Ashley: And, but then I would just have to do it like it was just so, um. Scientology is really what actually helped me handle those things and make me stop.
[00:37:48] Brad: Can can I ask you a question that actually I’ve never asked you before?
[00:37:50] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:37:51] Brad: Do you think if you had known about Scientology while you were a Southern Baptist, would Scientology have made you a better Southern Baptist?
[00:37:59] Ashley: Definitely. [00:38:00] Yeah. I totally don’t wanna like, on other religions, like I think Christianity is great and, but for me, I just, it just never like, solved the court problem. Like Yeah.
[00:38:13] Aaron: Yeah. I, I thought, I honestly think it’s so, so different. ’cause you know, my grandma and the whole like all our family, right.
[00:38:21] Aaron: Catholic, right.
[00:38:22] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:38:23] Aaron: And there is that, like, you do the confession and then you do like the,
[00:38:27] Ashley: you do something.
[00:38:27] Aaron: Yeah. Crackers and the thing, right? Like it’s, it’s, it’s both like the communion involves that. And I didn’t know there was another way. Because it would make, I mean, it would make sense, I guess.
[00:38:36] Aaron: Someone decided, I don’t want to tell my stuff. And then they made a new branch. Like how does that work? Like how that’s right. When did it, anyway, I know this is like a totally off topic kind of, but that’s a, I’m so shocked. Yeah. Like I thought that would be part of it.
[00:38:49] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:38:49] Aaron: Um, but no, that’s just not, it’s not at all.
[00:38:52] Aaron: There’s no confession at all in any type in Southern
[00:38:54] Brad: Baptist. No. There’s there. Well, not just Southern Baptist, like I was raised Lutheran. Hmm. And in like, Luther, [00:39:00] basically any, like any, uh, non-denominational church or like, um, like Baptist church. Lutheran Church, like all those different denominations that are, that are not, they’re Christian, but they’re not Catholic.
[00:39:13] Brad: Almost none of them do a confession.
[00:39:15] Ashley: No, not at all.
[00:39:16] Brad: Which, which is actually, I mean, I wouldn’t get canceled for this. No, but it’s a bit of a shame because there, there is a relief factor to being able to tell someone I did blah. Like, like there is, like, there’s, there’s def like. You know, there’s a reason that’s existed for Yeah, that’s right.
[00:39:33] Brad: That’s right. Exactly. Yeah.
[00:39:34] Ashley: Yeah. I, I remember like when I would get caught doing things by my parents, like afterwards I felt so much better. Like, I remember being like sent to my room for three days, but in, in those three days, I felt great. Like, I was like, at least somebody knows, like, and I never knew what that was, but now I know like, it, it’s very beneficial to just tell somebody, you know?
[00:39:56] Whitney: Yeah. So you have two beautiful kids.
[00:39:59] Ashley: Yeah. [00:40:00]
[00:40:00] Whitney: Um, and they’re three and
[00:40:03] Ashley: one.
[00:40:03] Whitney: One.
[00:40:04] Ashley: She just turned one like a couple days ago. They’re awesome.
[00:40:07] Whitney: Wow.
[00:40:08] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:40:09] Whitney: So do you have a nanny right now?
[00:40:11] Ashley: Uh, yes. We do
[00:40:14] Whitney: Because you’re here right now.
[00:40:15] Ashley: Yeah. So our 3-year-old goes to school. Okay. Um, and then the 1-year-old, she, yes.
[00:40:21] Ashley: Somebody watches her.
[00:40:22] Whitney: Okay.
[00:40:22] Ashley: For most of the day.
[00:40:23] Whitney: All right.
[00:40:24] Ashley: Obviously that’s gonna change a little bit now, but
[00:40:26] Whitney: Right.
[00:40:26] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:40:27] Whitney: Okay.
[00:40:27] Ashley: She’s great.
[00:40:28] Brad: Yeah. And on, on the point of like the, the moving to being like more of a full-time mom and wife thing. Ashley literally said the other day, she was like, you know, it feels like I work and then I get a paycheck and then I give that paycheck to the people who watch my kids so that I can go to work and get a paycheck.
[00:40:45] Brad: She’s like, but I’m also then not spending time with my kids. And she’s like, and I don’t like the, the thing about somebody who’s good at their job as an executive is they will work themselves out of. Needing to do any actual work.
[00:40:59] Whitney: Right? [00:41:00]
[00:41:00] Brad: Right. So often she’ll be like, well, I’m done for the day ’cause everything’s done and everybody’s handling everything, so I’m gonna go do, get my nails done.
[00:41:08] Brad: And I’m like, okay, great. Like the stats are up
[00:41:10] Ashley: fun. I feel really bad about that. So yeah. But like when we were like more like in the beginning stages, I was constantly like, of course it makes the way it,
[00:41:17] Whitney: that’s the way it is.
[00:41:18] Ashley: Yeah. It made sense to be there. And now it’s like I, you know, check up and like check up on a couple things and then I’m like, okay, now everyone’s handling everything.
[00:41:28] Ashley: What the hell do I do? So, yeah.
[00:41:31] Whitney: Makes
[00:41:31] Aaron: sense. And then we can talk about this homeschooling, guys. Yeah. About homeschooling, because I, I, when did it change from the family? Raises a child to you give up your child and tell the government that your child should be raised and given values by the government.
[00:41:49] Aaron: Like when did that change? Does anybody know?
[00:41:51] Brad: I can give it I
[00:41:53] Ashley: eighties, I
[00:41:53] Whitney: think. Right.
[00:41:55] Ashley: I don’t know, but I,
[00:41:56] Brad: it, it probably coincides with driver’s licenses.
[00:41:58] Ashley: Wait,
[00:41:58] Aaron: are you being serious? What?
[00:41:59] Ashley: [00:42:00] No, it just that actual data, like we’re giving false data over?
[00:42:03] Brad: No, no, no, no, no. Seriously, you know that the penalty in Florida anyways for a kid dropping out of high school is they won’t be able to get a license until they’re 18 rather than when they’re 16.
[00:42:14] Ashley: Oh, I didn’t know that.
[00:42:15] Brad: Yeah. So as the government gets more things that they issue you a permission to do something, then they can take that away if you don’t do what they want you to do. Mm-hmm. Which part of that is be in school till you’re 18th, that’s like a thing that’s needed, or graduate, I guess would be the alternative to that.
[00:42:30] Brad: But I, I’d have to assume that, I mean, it’s, bro, it’s just literally like a, Hey, let us, let us dictate what your kids are learning, because obviously we, it’s just a, we know better than you type thing from my viewpoint.
[00:42:42] Aaron: Yeah. I, I, I think it’s, it’s just a, there’s this thing that’s called the, the psyop. The psychological,
[00:42:48] Brad: I love this term.
[00:42:49] Whitney: Wait, what?
[00:42:49] Aaron: Right. Have you heard of this? You guys don’t know about this?
[00:42:51] Whitney: No. Nope.
[00:42:51] Aaron: You must not ssop, it’s like this conspiracy thing, but it’s like, it’s basically a mind war game where they’re [00:43:00] tricking you into doing things like the government or like, I don’t know, whatever, whoever person is telling you this is how things should be.
[00:43:06] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:43:07] Aaron: And I just think schooling is so, like, I, I always kind of, I don’t look, I think some universities are amazing and you could go and get, learn good things, you’re gonna make great connections and things like that. Yeah. But generally speaking, I don’t endorse like Univers University education, not today, where you can learn so much stuff online.
[00:43:28] Aaron: Everything else like,
[00:43:28] Ashley: yeah.
[00:43:29] Aaron: And, and the government dictates you can’t be a doctor unless you go to university. That’s a government directive, not like. Could you learn medicine without going university? Of course, if you wanted to, but it’s not allowed. Right? Mm-hmm. As you’re saying, like you’re, as the government forces you to do things mm-hmm.
[00:43:43] Aaron: That’s where you get into, into, into troubles. Yeah. And so if you’re like, well, you have to go to university to treat somebody well, because one person was a terrible whatever and hurt someone. But the truth is, who decides? The university curriculums, drug companies, the lobbying, the, like, there’s [00:44:00] such a, there’s such a slippery slope there.
[00:44:01] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:44:02] Aaron: And it wasn’t until recently when I thought, why are we sending our kids to the school?
[00:44:08] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:44:09] Aaron: Like, unless you want, unless you don’t trust yourself and you don’t want your children to earn your values. Right. Because if you have good values, you have good work ethic, you want, you are the role model you want your kids to be, why wouldn’t you be the one to teach them?
[00:44:19] Brad: Look, if somebody’s gonna mess the kids up, it might as well be us.
[00:44:22] Ashley: Yeah, right. It’s true.
[00:44:25] Aaron: So I don’t know
[00:44:25] Ashley: guys. I
[00:44:26] Brad: want my version of screwed up, not somebody else’s. And as Aaron so famously said on my podcast, which you should go and watch. I don’t want them turning into, you know, my girls turning into boys.
[00:44:36] Whitney: That’s
[00:44:36] Aaron: true.
[00:44:36] Brad: When they’re at school.
[00:44:37] Ashley: Oh
[00:44:37] Whitney: my gosh.
[00:44:37] Brad: He said that on my
[00:44:38] Ashley: podcast. I, I think honestly where it, it started though was like, like basically making it like a thing where like stay at home moms were like, like, you’re not working. Like that’s true. You’re not like trying to like chase a huge career.
[00:44:52] Ashley: And so then peop women started working and then it’s like, like my mom, like there was no other choice. Like she was the one who made all [00:45:00] the money for our family.
[00:45:01] Aaron: Mm-hmm.
[00:45:01] Ashley: Mm-hmm. So we went to school because I mean, what else were we gonna do? You know?
[00:45:06] Whitney: Right.
[00:45:06] Ashley: So
[00:45:07] Whitney: 10 kids is a lot.
[00:45:09] Ashley: Yeah. 10 kids is a lot. Yeah.
[00:45:12] Ashley: It’s a lot. Yes. My mom did home. Well, she did not, she, I did school from home in high school. Let me just, ’cause she, she did. My
[00:45:22] Brad: understanding is you were left at home not homeschooled.
[00:45:25] Ashley: I was left at home basically. Yes. The, the goal was though, to protect me from like. The crazy shit going on. Mm-hmm. So that the intention was really good.
[00:45:35] Ashley: Like my parents were definitely trying to protect me. Um,
[00:45:38] Aaron: is that 16?
[00:45:39] Brad: Okay. I have a question.
[00:45:41] Aaron: When you’re 16,
[00:45:41] Brad: I have a question directly related to this. Have you ever done drugs?
[00:45:44] Ashley: No.
[00:45:45] Brad: Anything
[00:45:46] Ashley: I’ve never won.
[00:45:47] Brad: Other than Tylenol, LOL Sorry.
[00:45:49] Ashley: No. Are the best. I’ve done something
[00:45:51] Aaron: about this. Thank you. Thank you.
[00:45:52] Aaron: Southern
[00:45:52] Ashley: Baptist parents. Yes. Ibu, ibuprofen, you know, that kind of stuff, but no, never drugs. My parents, weirdly. Okay. My parents are a little different. I [00:46:00] love them. But my parents for fun would, we would go on mugshots and look at the person that, like the first time they got arrested for some kind of drug and then the many after.
[00:46:11] Whitney: Oh.
[00:46:12] Ashley: And the way they aged, dude. Like
[00:46:15] Aaron: well,
[00:46:15] Ashley: tell the game. Tell the game you, to be totally honest, that’s what made me never wanna do drugs. I was like, absolutely not. Because literally within a year, like somebody on meth looks like a totally different person. Tell ‘
[00:46:24] Brad: em the game.
[00:46:25] Ashley: We should
[00:46:25] Brad: do that game. Live on this show.
[00:46:27] Brad: Tell ’em the game you were
[00:46:28] Ashley: playing. I mean, it’s a, it was, what
[00:46:29] Brad: did you play a game with? Guessing.
[00:46:31] Ashley: Yeah. Yeah. My mom would pull up the picture and then she would be like, guess how old they are? And like, we would guess, and then we would actually look at like the record. And it was like always, always wrong.
[00:46:41] Ashley: You know?
[00:46:41] Whitney: Did she work in that area? How did she even have this idea?
[00:46:45] Ashley: No. I, I think so. I mean, my parents adopt very
[00:46:51] Whitney: inventive.
[00:46:52] Ashley: We should
[00:46:53] Aaron: do that. I really recommend everyone to that with their kids. Yeah.
[00:46:55] Ashley: I, I think how she got into it was like my, so my parents did foster [00:47:00] care. Okay. Um, they had three kids of their own, I’m one of them.
[00:47:02] Ashley: They did foster care with the intention of just helping kids. Mm-hmm. In the interim before they get adopted. Obviously by the time they came up for adoption, they had been with us for like three years, five years. Like they weren’t leaving.
[00:47:15] Aaron: Mm-hmm.
[00:47:15] Ashley: Right. Like, that’s so weird. So we ended up, my family adopted all of them.
[00:47:20] Whitney: Wow.
[00:47:20] Ashley: But my mom would sometimes look at their biological parents’ mugshots. I think that’s how she got into it. Like she was just like. You know, where are they living, how they, oh, you know? Mm-hmm. So, but then I think
[00:47:31] Whitney: she wanted to make sure none of her kids ever had that too. You never got into that.
[00:47:35] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:47:36] Ashley: So, and I think then she just saw like, wow, this is crazy. Like, I need to show my kids. Like, so a little bit of a kind of messed up game, I think, but very effective. I never wanted to do drugs. That’s an amazing name. Absolutely not. So,
[00:47:51] Whitney: okay.
[00:47:52] Ashley: Yeah. Wow.
[00:47:53] Aaron: I’ve done a pg version of, of lookup people with no teeth or messed up teeth and like, to get my, my children to brush your feet, you know, like, [00:48:00] this is where teeth are gonna be like, you know what I mean?
[00:48:01] Aaron: I’ve done that one, of course, but now a mugshot of people meth. That’s amazing.
[00:48:05] Brad: Dude. Our daughter makes me brush my teeth. She’s like, if I’m in the bathroom and she’s like brushing teeth, she goes, brush your teeth. And I’m like, God. I’m like, I need to leave, but fine, I’ll brush my teeth. But no, the, um, on, on, on the mugshot and homeschooling thing, it, it really is like kids, kids are gonna like, they’re gonna go through.
[00:48:24] Brad: Learning via trial and error as we all have to.
[00:48:28] Whitney: Yeah.
[00:48:28] Brad: Right, right. So for me, it’s like somebody, somebody put this on, uh, on the X platform once, it’s like kids will say and come up with crazy ideas, they’d be like, oh, I should light this house on fire, like literally my daughter. And, but it’s, but it’s a kid.
[00:48:45] Brad: It’s an innocent idea. She has, she had a lighter in my truck. She had a light. Listen to this. She had a lighter in my truck. She knows fire comes out of a lighter. She can’t do it ’cause it’s, it’s kid proof. And she’s like waving it around. She’s like, look dad, it’s a fire truck. [00:49:00] Fire plus truck. Fire truck.
[00:49:02] Brad: Right. But it’s like you schools, how does that brain
[00:49:05] Aaron: on the house though?
[00:49:06] Brad: Well listen, so schools and, and the, the wackos in schools who are in having, like, ’cause there’s people who are assigned to deal with the mental health of kids at school. Right. The guidance counselor. They’re psychs bro.
[00:49:21] Whitney: Yep.
[00:49:21] Brad: They’re, they’re either psychiatrist or psychologists.
[00:49:25] Brad: They will take these crazy originations, which are, look, it’s a firetruck. Oh, maybe I should, I wanna kill my sister. It’s like a thing that a kid will say, no, no. The kids will say that when they’re mad, they’ll be like, I’m gonna kill you. Yeah. Lemme give you
[00:49:37] Aaron: a real example. Yeah. I, we give a real example.
[00:49:38] Brad: Okay, good.
[00:49:39] Aaron: So Florida, Florida has a lot of beautiful, amazing things. Yeah. One thing that is, I think very bad, one of the worst policies we have is called the Baker Act. Yes. There, okay. You guys are familiar with the Baker Act? Yep.
[00:49:49] Brad: That’s right.
[00:49:49] Aaron: There is a, a, a, a, a documented case. So there’s something like 100,000 kids Baker Acted a year.
[00:49:55] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:49:56] Aaron: Okay. Like a lot. Mm-hmm. And they’re drug and it, it’s a really, a [00:50:00] tragedy. But an example of that,
[00:50:01] Brad: it’s a draft that goes like, like that,
[00:50:03] Aaron: yeah.
[00:50:03] Brad: From like, the early, like late 1990s.
[00:50:05] Aaron: So I wanna give you an ex a real example of how that occurs to see like what these counselors are, are, are tasked to do.
[00:50:11] Aaron: So there’s a, a little child who just came over from another country.
[00:50:14] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:50:14] Aaron: Let’s say. Russia or whatever, some other country,
[00:50:17] this
[00:50:17] Whitney: is a true story.
[00:50:18] Aaron: This is a true story.
[00:50:19] Whitney: She came from Russia
[00:50:19] Aaron: and, and they go to school. Mm-hmm. And the kid is, I dunno, seven years old, or eight, I don’t remember the exact age.
[00:50:25] Aaron: And the kid kicks the teacher
[00:50:28] Brad: mm-hmm.
[00:50:29] Aaron: Like kicks the teacher in the shin.
[00:50:30] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:50:31] Aaron: And the teacher goes, that kid is trying to kill me or what? Whatever, like
[00:50:35] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:50:36] Aaron: Mm-hmm. Like, that person is a, is a danger.
[00:50:39] Brad: Yeah.
[00:50:39] Aaron: So they call up the police mm-hmm. And say, this kid, and they put the child into the Baker act. Yeah.
[00:50:44] Aaron: Because what happens is the child doesn’t even speak English. Mm-hmm. So they go and they say, are you trying to hurt the teacher? And the kid goes, whatever. They’re like, huh, yet that whatever the, like, they don’t understand. And they go, okay, well there you go. You, you, [00:51:00] you filled out the questionnaire the right way for you to get Baker acted.
[00:51:02] Aaron: Yeah. That kid gets taken up from the parents and unless they know exactly the fine print how to fight for their kid, that child stayed in psychiatric care for seven days. Oh
[00:51:10] Ashley: my
[00:51:11] Brad: God.
[00:51:12] Ashley: Wow, that’s,
[00:51:13] Brad: yeah.
[00:51:13] Aaron: So that, that’s big.
[00:51:14] Exactly.
[00:51:14] Brad: Without the consent of the parents,
[00:51:15] Aaron: without the consent and No, no. The, the parent was there in three hours, but the kid is gone.
[00:51:20] Brad: Yeah.
[00:51:20] Aaron: And so they could not get their kid out of the, the facility after seven days.
[00:51:23] Brad: So against the consent of the parent against the, yeah. So the, the point I was making is kids will say
[00:51:28] Aaron: by the, hold on, I have to say No, no, sorry. Please. If that happens to someone or that, you know, please. Um, there is, uh, contact CCHR.
[00:51:35] Aaron: There is a hotline and
[00:51:37] Brad: or just respond and we’ll put you in touch with
[00:51:39] Aaron: Yeah. But it might be too slow. We might not answer like, you need to go to CHR and actually call, call, call CCHR Florida because they have a way you legally can, if you, they, they have the law and they understand the law, and they’ll say, you send the letter in this fashion and you do this thing and you can get your child out immediately.
[00:51:53] Brad: Yeah.
[00:51:53] Aaron: These guys are literally afraid of CCHR.
[00:51:56] Whitney: Yeah.
[00:51:56] Aaron: Because True. If they don’t follow it all, they get sued. Normally for one [00:52:00] mother, oh, I need my child. I need my child. They go, ha ha ha. And they take ’em anyway. Mm-hmm. But they go. Here’s CHR. He’s the law. I know what to do if you don’t release them. We’re gonna get, they get released like that.
[00:52:09] Aaron: Yeah. So please call CCR Florida if you have a child with big rack, that is, it. It it could be massive.
[00:52:13] Brad: Yeah. Yeah. So here, here’s, here’s the point I was making is like, a kid will say, look, I’m a T-Rex. Right?
[00:52:19] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:52:19] Brad: Like, whatever. Sure, sure, sure. I is what’s, what’s occurring in schools is a little girl will say, I’m a boy.
[00:52:29] Brad: Or some, like, some origination, right? And, and instead of just being like, haha, funny, it’s being taken as like, what did you say?
[00:52:36] Aaron: Yeah, yeah. You take this pill now or whatever.
[00:52:38] Brad: Exactly. Yeah. Yeah. And I mean, that’s, that’s a part of that. Like, how did this happen type thing. It’s like we forgot that kids are kids and they just say kids stuff.
[00:52:50] Whitney: Very creative.
[00:52:50] Brad: They’re very creative.
[00:52:51] Whitney: Always.
[00:52:52] Brad: Yeah. And the creativity is used in a, in a, I would say in like a, in, in a negative way. Yeah. Yeah. [00:53:00] Converted into something wrong when
[00:53:01] Whitney: it’s not.
[00:53:01] Brad: Yeah.
[00:53:02] Whitney: Also like’s actually a very good thing.
[00:53:03] Ashley: Yeah, that’s right. Also, any like slight out point on a kid, like for me, I had, um, like a hearing impairment when I was like five or, yeah, I don’t think I, I don’t wear hearing aids anymore.
[00:53:13] Ashley: Whatever. I had to wear hearing aids and I was always put into, um, my grades were fine, like A’s and B’s. Totally good. I duplicated what was happening. I didn’t like school, but I understood what was going on. When we would do standardized testing, I would always get put in this like slow group, like this kid, this group of kids that like had like learning disabilities.
[00:53:35] Whitney: Oh. And
[00:53:36] Ashley: I would do my test and like they would get, they gave us extra time in that group. It pissed me off so much that I would get put in this group because I was like, listen guys, I’m not an idiot. Like why am I, and they’re like, you’re hearing impaired, so you have to, and I would, um. Do my test, turn it in.
[00:53:50] Ashley: The teacher would be like, do you wanna double check? Mm-hmm. Like, you have two more hours. I’m like, I don’t need two more hours. I read, I answered, let’s move on. [00:54:00] But like e every step of the way, like in school, it was always like, oh, like, like at a certain point my drink, my grades did drop because I was just like, I just hated school, dude.
[00:54:10] Ashley: So,
[00:54:10] Whitney: yeah.
[00:54:11] Ashley: Um, and at that point it was like, she needs to get on a DH ADHD medicine. She might have a DD. My mom even brought me somewhere and like the, the doctor was like, the doctor was, did nothing. He asked me a couple of questions
[00:54:23] Aaron: mm-hmm.
[00:54:23] Ashley: About my life. Did no tests whatsoever. Like, which was, even at that age, I think I was like 12.
[00:54:31] Ashley: I was like, yeah. This is weird. ’cause he was like, you have a DD And I was like, what do you mean? Like, you just asked me a couple questions.
[00:54:38] Aaron: Oh
[00:54:39] Ashley: my goodness. He didn’t even like do anything like crazy. How do you know? And, um, luckily I didn’t get put on meds. So like my mom was very upset that that was the case and never brought me back, thank God.
[00:54:51] Ashley: But thank
[00:54:52] Whitney: God your mom’s amazing.
[00:54:54] Ashley: Yeah. Yeah. She, that was a very good decision. She on her part. Yeah. So, [00:55:00] um, but I feel like the school system is set up like any little owl point, like a Wait,
[00:55:03] Aaron: your mom didn’t trust the science?
[00:55:05] Ashley: Yeah. Yeah.
[00:55:08] Brad: She’s a white right woman extremist.
[00:55:10] Ashley: Yes. Yeah. So, um, yeah,
[00:55:13] Aaron: I say that ’cause there is no science guys.
[00:55:15] Ashley: Yeah. There’s
[00:55:15] Aaron: none. There is, there is no science. That, that’s just, it’s literally, people understand that is a propaganda. That’s right. You need to trust the science. Trust the science means do not look into the studies, do not read anything. Trust the science. Yeah. Is. Literally a, a, a e, uh, uh, uh, a, what do you call it?
[00:55:33] Aaron: A paradox.
[00:55:34] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:55:34] Aaron: Because science is not there to be trusted. It’s there to be used and to analyze and to reveal information. That’s
[00:55:40] right.
[00:55:40] Ashley: What was so funny is one of the questions was, he’s like, what happens when you’re in school and like you’re listening to the teacher? And I was like, I fall asleep.
[00:55:46] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:55:46] Ashley: Like, and that’s like not understanding what’s going, like misunderstood word. Like I found this in Scientology and I was like, oh my God. That’s what was happening to me, to me this whole time. But he was like, yeah, you have a DD, you can’t concentrate on my God. What?
[00:55:59] Whitney: [00:56:00] Mm-hmm.
[00:56:00] Ashley: So, but I feel like every like little owl point, like if a kid’s grades drop in school, it’s like automatic, like they have to be on meds.
[00:56:07] Brad: Yeah.
[00:56:08] Ashley: Like there’s no other solution’s.
[00:56:10] Whitney: Crazy. Yeah, it true. That is what happens these days.
[00:56:13] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:56:14] Whitney: What is very, I’m very lucky because I didn’t grow up with that.
[00:56:17] Ashley: Yeah. I’m so jealous of
[00:56:18] Whitney: my parents. My parents were Scientologists.
[00:56:22] Ashley: Yeah. And,
[00:56:23] Whitney: um, and I’m telling you, basically when I was having trouble in school, they, after school, I would go to the church.
[00:56:30] Ashley: Mm-hmm.
[00:56:31] Whitney: And there was this course called the Basic Study Manual.
[00:56:35] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:56:36] Whitney: And it taught me how to use a dictionary. There’s also another course for kids called How to Use a Dictionary. So I did all these very basic courses, which are for like 10-year-old eight year olds. And I did them and it helped me tremendously with school.
[00:56:51] Whitney: Yeah. And my, my grades were getting better. And um, at one point, I think I was about 11, I was still having a little bit of [00:57:00] difficulty with my, I felt like really foggy.
[00:57:02] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:57:02] Whitney: In my, uh, when I was thinking and trying to solve things in math. And I told my parents and I was like, having trouble. They had me do, um, they were like, Whitney, well, do you wanna do the purification rundown?
[00:57:15] Whitney: I was like, uh, sure, why not? So I did that when I was 11 years old, and oh my gosh. It literally helped me clear my mind.
[00:57:24] Ashley: That’s awesome.
[00:57:25] Whitney: I felt like, like a, like all of a sudden I was able to think more clearly.
[00:57:29] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:57:30] Whitney: Because of, I guess all the toxins that we have in our environment today. Oh yeah. They were just like lodged in my, in my tissues.
[00:57:36] Ashley: Yeah. Mm-hmm.
[00:57:36] Whitney: And I was able to get them out.
[00:57:37] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:57:38] Whitney: And that’s like, as a Scientologist, I was able, I I was very, it was, it was a luxury.
[00:57:44] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:57:45] Whitney: Right.
[00:57:45] Ashley: Yeah. ‘
[00:57:46] Whitney: cause you’re,
[00:57:47] Ashley: I know, I, I had, um, I did the SRD, like that’s another like, rundown that you do in Scientology. And I had a, my twin grew up in Scientology and she asked me, obviously questions about my life.
[00:57:59] Ashley: So I told her and [00:58:00] she was like, you know, I just feel like I haven’t like, done anything crazy and like. You know, it kind of sucks. Like, I’m not gonna have like some awesome story and I’m like, dude, I wish, I wish, like, I was like, you have not missed anything. You’re good. Like, yeah. I’m like, trust me. Next time around that I will be the, the, the person that grew up inside baby.
[00:58:22] Ashley: Because I’m like, I just never, yeah. So it was interesting. But no, I’m very jealous of people that like decided to be part of a family that were Scientologists. Like, that’s great. You’re, yeah.
[00:58:40] Whitney: Yeah.
[00:58:40] Aaron: Thank you for all of your wonderful stories.
[00:58:43] Whitney: Yeah.
[00:58:43] Aaron: And, um, this is, uh. Do you wanna?
[00:58:47] Whitney: Yeah. So this was a beautiful podcast.
[00:58:49] Whitney: Thank you so much for coming Yeah. And joining us and being part of this beautiful, uh, don’t do nothing podcast. Yeah.
[00:58:56] Ashley: Yeah.
[00:58:57] Whitney: You definitely don’t do nothing.
[00:58:58] Ashley: Yeah. And,
[00:58:59] Whitney: um, thanks. [00:59:00] So I really appreciate you coming today and sharing your stories with everybody on the show.
[00:59:06] Ashley: Yeah. I appreciate you guys having me.
[00:59:07] Ashley: It was great.
[00:59:08] Whitney: Okay.
[00:59:09] Aaron: Is there any final words you wanna say, um, to people that, uh, maybe, I don’t know, ask a question, whoever, what’s the question? Ask? Oh, thank you. There’s a question that we need to do before we un finish this.
[00:59:19] Ashley: Oh God. Okay.
[00:59:20] Aaron: In your own words, what is Scientology?
[00:59:26] Ashley: Oh my God. Okay. I feel like you guys should have prepped me.
[00:59:30] Ashley: Um, I mean, for me, Scientology is like the only, it’s just the only way on this planet to actually fix, like any issue you’re having in life. Like it’s. It’s the only solution. Like there is literally no other solution. I’ve read many books and I was always just so frustrated. So for, yeah, for me, that’s what Scientology is.
[00:59:56] Ashley: It’s like the solution to every problem you’re having in life. It can be [01:00:00] fixed. That’s
[01:00:01] Whitney: so beautiful
[01:00:01] Ashley: forever. Like for eternity. Not like, not just like for two seconds. So yeah,
[01:00:07] Whitney: it’s life changing.
[01:00:08] Aaron: Amazing.
[01:00:09] Ashley: It’s
[01:00:09] Aaron: beautiful.
[01:00:10] Whitney: Thank you.
[01:00:11] Aaron: Awesome guys. Thank you so much. Oh yeah. So no, wait, wait, wait, wait. Okay. So parting words.
[01:00:14] Aaron: Yeah, so listen, I don’t even know who the listeners are. We need to figure out who the listeners are like Yeah. ’cause is it like people having trouble their life, you trying to take it to the next level? Is it, I don’t know. I don’t even know. But let’s just say someone you haven’t met and like they’ve listened to this, they kind of heard your story.
[01:00:29] Aaron: Hey, what are your like final parting words, what’s something that if, if you had one message to say to the world or to somebody listening, what would it be?
[01:00:37] Ashley: Um, I. I think probably that there are, you know, some people on the planet that like see what’s going on and feel kind of hopeless. Um, I know I used to be definitely.
[01:00:54] Ashley: So, um, there is, there just is hope. Like [01:01:00] I didn’t think there, there was that, there was, but then when I found Scientology it was just like, holy shit. Like this is not the end. Like I just thought, I just thought this was like it, you know? Mm-hmm. So, um, yeah, you don’t have to get in agreement with like, just the constant like downward spiral of like degrading ourselves.
[01:01:20] Ashley: Like, you know, there’s actually hope for going the opposite direction, like going up, so. Right.
[01:01:27] Aaron: Nice. Amazing. That’s beautiful. Thank you Ashley.
[01:01:28] Ashley: Yeah. Amazing.
[01:01:30] Aaron: I’m gonna clap.
[01:01:34] Aaron: Thank you.
