[00:00:00] Brad: Aaron, you wanna start with introducing yourself?
[00:00:02] Aaron: Me?
[00:00:03] Brad: Yeah. Uh, just cut right into it, man. Who are you?
[00:00:06] Aaron: I, I would say that I am the person that I never thought that I could be 10 years ago.
[00:00:15] Brad: Okay.
[00:00:15] Aaron: That I like. Because the purpose of this and why we’re doing this podcast is to kind of talk about personal transformation.
[00:00:23] Aaron: That’s the way I look at it. Right. And so what I see is like, am I like some ultra famous person? No. Am I like ultra, ultra?
[00:00:30] Brad: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Front page. See it. CMBC.
[00:00:32] Aaron: Well, that’s today. That was today. That was kind of lucky. Whatever. Let’s see. So
[00:00:35] Brad: was it the top story at any point?
[00:00:37] Aaron: The, it’s right now it’s the top story.
[00:00:38] Aaron: Right now it’s the number one. But I’m a
[00:00:41] Brad: side note as we film Top story on CNBC is about this guy. Thank you. Thank you. Paid or not paid? Did you do a press release? No, I didn’t. Unpaid press release or No,
[00:00:49] Aaron: no, no. Press release.
[00:00:51] Brad: That’s pretty impressive. I’ve never done that.
[00:00:52] Aaron: Thank you.
[00:00:53] Brad: Well,
[00:00:53] Aaron: I’ve never
[00:00:53] Brad: done that
[00:00:53] Aaron: too.
[00:00:53] Aaron: Until, until this morning.
[00:00:54] Brad: Yeah.
[00:00:55] Aaron: Uh, so. Basic. Okay. I have four [00:01:00] children, and before I didn’t think I could support one child. I can already, I actually couldn’t support myself. My wife used to support me. Right. So like,
[00:01:07] Brad: yeah.
[00:01:08] Aaron: I mean, I’ve gone through a lot. I’ve been through a time when I was like, uh, uh, begging for, uh, getting on pharmaceutical drugs.
[00:01:14] Aaron: Right. I saw the Zoloft commercial. You know what Zol, you know the Zoloft commercial?
[00:01:19] Brad: Yeah. Yeah. Bubble. What do you mean you were, what do you mean you were begging to get on pharmaceutical drugs? Dude,
[00:01:22] Aaron: here’s the thing. I was, let’s say probably 13.
[00:01:25] Brad: Yeah.
[00:01:26] Aaron: Watching tv, maybe 12. And I would watch it and they’re saying, Hey, you might have a chemical imbalance.
[00:01:32] Brad: Wow.
[00:01:33] Aaron: And there might be something that potentially, maybe, probably won’t help you, but it might help you.
[00:01:37] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:01:38] Aaron: You know? And I was like, oh my gosh, I wish I can call and get this. But like, I’m too young. I don’t have a credit card. I don’t even have a phone. Like, I have a phone, but I’m not gonna call because I don’t have a card.
[00:01:46] Aaron: Oh, wow. Like, it can’t do much. And like if I would’ve been able to buy it, I would’ve bought it and I would’ve gotten down that route. Wow. Would’ve gotten Yeah, absolutely. Soof. I mean, if you, you know,
[00:01:54] Brad: like why, why,
[00:01:54] Aaron: why? Because my life was a void of nothing. Hmm. Right. Like I, I basically, [00:02:00] I come from, from school.
[00:02:01] Aaron: Yeah. Uh, didn’t really do well in school. I mean, it’s not like I was a bad student, but I just didn’t enjoy the school. Right. Yeah. And then coming home and I would basically watch TV all day. Like, I’d sit down and watch tv. I’d eat in my, I’d eat in my room, I’d go to sleep. It was just, I just felt like my life was a bit of like a, a drag.
[00:02:17] Brad: What problem, what problem did, did you feel like the drug was gonna solve?
[00:02:21] Aaron: I didn’t know.
[00:02:22] Brad: Oh, really?
[00:02:22] Aaron: Anything.
[00:02:23] Brad: It was just like, something to just like,
[00:02:24] Aaron: well, they, they told me it was chemical IMB balance.
[00:02:26] Brad: Wow.
[00:02:27] Aaron: That’s why I was feeling bad. Like, they tell me what it’s gonna solve. Okay.
[00:02:29] Brad: So the problem is you felt bad.
[00:02:30] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:02:30] Brad: Wow.
[00:02:31] Aaron: Yeah. Like it’s just kind of floating around. So anyway, uh, the way I look at myself is I was in a, in a certain way where I was very lost and then, you know, I found a path. And right now I have a business. I have over 50 employees across companies, four children. Uh, great marriage. Good friends. And is that Absolutely.
[00:02:53] Aaron: It’s
[00:02:53] Brad: fucking
[00:02:53] Aaron: gone on, bro.
[00:02:55] Brad: I’m just checking.
[00:02:56] Aaron: And, uh, so I mean, it’s like the way that I [00:03:00] look at my life is like, if you take the change that I have had
[00:03:05] Brad: Yeah.
[00:03:05] Aaron: And you apply it to people across the world, we have an entirely different planet.
[00:03:09] Brad: Yeah.
[00:03:09] Aaron: Right. Because if you could, if one person’s life could change, you just repeat that enough times.
[00:03:15] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:03:16] Aaron: And you have a bettered world, right? Like, so I, I, that’s the way I kind of look at myself.
[00:03:20] Brad: Yeah.
[00:03:20] Aaron: But, um, I don’t know.
[00:03:23] Brad: That’s beautiful.
[00:03:23] Aaron: You, you’d have to, that’s how I introduce some kind of myself Yeah. For this context, you
[00:03:27] Brad: know? Yeah, yeah. Okay. And so what, so what, what was the, was there an inflection point at some point?
[00:03:34] Brad: Like what changed?
[00:03:36] Aaron: Okay. So
[00:03:37] Brad: leading,
[00:03:38] Aaron: I’ll, I’ll leading,
[00:03:38] Brad: leading
[00:03:39] Aaron: question. No, this is good. This is good. I mean, look, so, so, uh, this podcast, right? Is. To reach out. Like I, I have social media. You have social media, right? You build houses.
[00:03:47] Brad: Yeah.
[00:03:48] Aaron: Um, I sell lemon squeezers and milk frothers and stuff. Frothers, right.
[00:03:53] Aaron: Kitchen, kitchen products.
[00:03:54] Brad: These guys.
[00:03:55] Aaron: Right. So have, I’m just
[00:03:55] Brad: admiring this
[00:03:56] Aaron: before, before we started. It’s amazing if you have to squeeze the lemon in your life, like you’re really missing out.
[00:03:59] Brad: I’ve actually
[00:03:59] Aaron: [00:04:00] never squeeze lemon. It’s ridiculous.
[00:04:01] Brad: Admittedly.
[00:04:01] Aaron: Yeah. So, um, we have a lot of business lives and we, you know, we have social media.
[00:04:06] Aaron: We talk about, uh, a lot of things. You talk about houses all the time. You get people to make fun of you. Uh, it, it’s great. You do it on purpose. Yeah, that’s what I understand. Yeah,
[00:04:14] Brad: yeah, yeah.
[00:04:15] Aaron: So guys,
[00:04:15] Brad: like, I make ridiculous, make ridiculous videos to get people to engage.
[00:04:18] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:04:19] Brad: And then the video gets, like, we have a video that went up to like 600 K in a week on YouTube.
[00:04:24] Brad: It’s like silly video.
[00:04:26] Aaron: It’s great.
[00:04:27] Brad: But anyways, yeah.
[00:04:28] Aaron: So, um, this channel and what we’re doing here from, you know, this is a, a joint venture.
[00:04:35] Brad: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:04:35] Aaron: Um. But I don’t get to talk a lot about my own beliefs. Yeah. Right. What was the transformation that I’ve had? Why?
[00:04:43] Brad: Yeah.
[00:04:43] Aaron: Right. And I think we’ve had similar changes and it’s really from one source.
[00:04:47] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:04:47] Aaron: Right. Which, which we’ll talk about. And, and it was when I was 13 years old, right? Mm-hmm. Shortly after the Zoloft commercial.
[00:04:54] Brad: Yeah.
[00:04:55] Aaron: Um, I went, I was living in my, I grew up in Miami, so
[00:04:58] Brad: Yeah.
[00:04:59] Aaron: Uh, I was born in [00:05:00] Venezuela. I grew up in Miami. And, uh, my dad took me to, uh, church of Scientology. Of Tampa.
[00:05:06] Brad: Wow,
[00:05:06] Aaron: okay.
[00:05:07] Aaron: And, uh,
[00:05:08] Brad: from Miami.
[00:05:10] Aaron: Well, yeah, because my dad lived, my dad lived over on this area.
[00:05:13] Brad: Mm.
[00:05:13] Aaron: Right. I lived in Miami.
[00:05:15] Brad: Oh, okay.
[00:05:16] Aaron: And my mom sent us here for two weeks, three weeks or whatever.
[00:05:19] Brad: Okay. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:05:19] Aaron: We didn’t, I mean, we didn’t visit a whole lot, but like, yeah. I, I did that. I happened to go that, that one trip that one time.
[00:05:24] Aaron: Yeah. I think my, something happened and my mom was like, just go over there. Um, no, sorry, I wasn’t 13, I was about probably 16. We had just got into a car accident.
[00:05:32] Brad: Oh, wow.
[00:05:33] Aaron: Um, and so my mom was like, handle these kids there, like trouble.
[00:05:39] Brad: You were driving and you got in a car
[00:05:40] Aaron: accident? No, my brother was driving.
[00:05:41] Brad: Oh, okay.
[00:05:42] Aaron: Yeah. And so, uh, yeah. Okay. So we arrived, we arrived to Tampa. Yeah. Okay. And I would say, see I had been, I had been introduced to what Scientology was Yeah. When I was 13. That’s why I was thinking 13. Mm. That’s when I did, I did one course, uh, where when I was 13 at, in Miami. In Miami. Miami, okay.
[00:05:59] Brad: [00:06:00] Yeah.
[00:06:00] Brad: Yeah.
[00:06:00] Aaron: And, uh. That was great. It was cool. I wanted to do more, but I’m 13. I have like, I can’t, my mom was like, I’m not gonna drive you anymore. Like, it’s a 45 minute drive. My mom was driving me, takes me there for like, I’m there for like five hours or whatever, and then I go home.
[00:06:11] Brad: Wow.
[00:06:11] Aaron: She’s like, I don’t wanna drive you anymore.
[00:06:12] Aaron: Bye. And I’m like, okay, that’s it. Like, it’s done. I can’t, I’m not, it’s over.
[00:06:16] Brad: Wow.
[00:06:16] Aaron: And then I kind of lost it and then, um, kind of kept going and, uh, got into that car accident and then my mom sent me off to, to my dad’s house. Yeah. She’s like, go take care of these kids. Anyway, so when I walked in and, uh, the first thing I did was take a personality test.
[00:06:32] Brad: Yeah,
[00:06:33] Aaron: right. It’s called the OCA Officer Capacity analysis. Yeah. This thing is brilliant, by the way. Mm-hmm. I mean, I, it’s shocking how like, it just like cuts through your soul. Like, like, I don’t know. It’s something about it is like,
[00:06:44] Brad: yeah.
[00:06:45] Aaron: Whoa. But
[00:06:47] Brad: so very, very high degree of accuracy to what’s happening in your life in present time.
[00:06:51] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:06:51] Brad: Yeah.
[00:06:52] Aaron: So I took that test, so it’s probably. 2006, 2005, I don’t know. Mm-hmm. Some something in that range. And
[00:06:59] Brad: Wow, [00:07:00] bro, that’s 20 years ago.
[00:07:01] Aaron: Isn’t that crazy? I better now. That’s crazy. I remember when I was new, right? No, crazy. So, um, I, I did the personality test and there was a guy, uh, across from me and, uh, his name was Jerry, I believe.
[00:07:15] Aaron: Yeah. And he sat me down and did like the evaluation for the personal test
[00:07:19] Brad: re jab re
[00:07:20] Aaron: yeah, there you go. So, uh, he shows me like the 10 points. Yeah. I, I probably have it. I probably have this test and I’ll show you, but, uh, they were all like middle sort of, and then one was like way at the bottom.
[00:07:31] Brad: Yeah.
[00:07:32] Aaron: And, uh, it was happiness, happiness and depressed.
[00:07:34] Brad: Dude. Dude. Wow.
[00:07:36] Aaron: It was like negative 78 I think it was. And so, uh, based on this graph, and so the guy shows me the thing. Yeah. And I’ll tell you, at that time I was very like numb, like, just kind of like no emotions, no. Like, wasn’t really excited. Really wasn’t even like, I was kind of very bored and like kind of just not.
[00:07:54] Aaron: Nothing was much going on. Right.
[00:07:56] Brad: Yeah.
[00:07:56] Aaron: And so I did the test that way and we’re the whole time, I’m like that. Right. [00:08:00] And he shows me the test.
[00:08:01] Brad: When you say you did it that way, like you were felt numb.
[00:08:03] I
[00:08:03] Aaron: mean, I felt, yeah. I’m like one, okay. Whatever. You know, you fill out the questions.
[00:08:08] Brad: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:08:08] Aaron: Wake up in the morning, like, pretty much that’s my day.
[00:08:10] Aaron: Like I have one mood day and night. You know what I mean?
[00:08:13] Brad: Yeah.
[00:08:14] Aaron: Um, and uh, so he shows me the test and he says, here are all your points. I have no idea what it means. Right. It’s first, I’ve never seen a graph like this. Right. Yeah. So he shows me the thing.
[00:08:24] Brad: Yeah.
[00:08:24] Aaron: And he says this, these are all the points. The top is like, pretty good, you know, the bottom is not so good, blah, blah, blah, whatever.
[00:08:31] Aaron: And he says, this is the point. You need to improve the most. Or I forgot exactly his wording, but he’s like, this is, this is where you are. Terrible. Yeah. Something like that. And it was happy suppressed.
[00:08:41] Brad: How, how did you
[00:08:42] Aaron: feel? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Watch it. Yeah. Yeah. So, so he tells me, I look at this thing, I look at it and I see it.
[00:08:53] Aaron: And, and I said, that’s right.
[00:08:55] Brad: Wow.
[00:08:56] Aaron: What was crazy is that I don’t know if I [00:09:00] fully understood that until then, I thought life was supposed to be that way. Like I thought everybody felt this way. Like for me, that was life. Life is a thing where you kind of go around and everything kind of sucks and like you can’t feel at home anywhere and there’s nothing to do and people are irritable.
[00:09:22] Aaron: Like, I was upset with my, everyone in my family, like I thought that was normal.
[00:09:26] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:09:27] Aaron: But seeing this, I go, wow, I’m here. And it sort of pinpointed that’s, that’s the issue.
[00:09:35] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:09:35] Aaron: Right? And I started crying immediately.
[00:09:39] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:09:39] Aaron: I was bawling, like crying, crying, crying. And I didn’t say anything. I just looked at it and I had these thoughts.
[00:09:44] Aaron: I’m like, wow, that is an anti guy. I am depressed actually. I started crying, like uncontrollably crying for probably like two minutes.
[00:09:53] Brad: Wow.
[00:09:53] Aaron: And my dad was over there in the background, like, I’m like a kid. Right. Like, yeah. I’m not an adult.
[00:09:58] Brad: Yeah.
[00:09:58] Aaron: And so my dad has ne never seen me [00:10:00] cry.
[00:10:00] Brad: Yeah.
[00:10:00] Aaron: It’s like he told me later, he was like shocked over there, but I, I, I didn’t see him.
[00:10:05] Aaron: I’m just there and crying and the guy’s there and he kind of waits for me. He finished crying, not finished crying, but I dunno. I cried for a minute or two.
[00:10:10] Brad: Yeah.
[00:10:11] Aaron: And then he said something like,
[00:10:17] Aaron: you know, how’s that a, I don’t remember the, the point is I was in it, bro. Yeah. I was in it and he said something like, do you want to change that?
[00:10:26] Brad: Yeah.
[00:10:27] Aaron: What is this guy a psycho? Like, what do you mean change? Like change and, and
[00:10:36] Brad: is he a psycho?
[00:10:37] Aaron: I was like, what? What do you, what do you mean?
[00:10:39] Brad: Yeah.
[00:10:40] Aaron: Well, if you could improve that and not feel that way, is that something you’d want to do?
[00:10:50] Aaron: I go, but what, like how, like what do you mean? Like, change it? He says, well, [00:11:00] dietetics can help you with that.
[00:11:04] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:11:05] Aaron: There’s a course where you can take this and overcome I, whatever wording he said, dude, I don’t remember exactly what he said, but he is like, Dianetics can help you with this. And I was, it, it was, it was a crazy moment because I went from like crying and like, this is life and that’s how it’s gonna be forever and like Wow.
[00:11:23] Aaron: To like what? Like ch change it. Like you say, I could change it. I’ll try dude. I’m, I’m done. Tell, tell me what you want me to do. I’m in. Yeah. Uh, and I, I ended up going there, I was there for about two weeks and I did three courses.
[00:11:38] Brad: Yeah.
[00:11:39] Aaron: I did, uh, the basic study manual to learn to study. I did a, a one called personal Efficiency.
[00:11:45] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:11:45] Aaron: Um, and then I did the DI seminar
[00:11:47] Brad: Wow.
[00:11:48] Aaron: Dynamic seminar. See a video, and you go right into the, you know, counseling, therapy, auditing, whatever you wanna call it. Yeah. And it was cra like in the span of two, in the span of two weeks.
[00:11:59] Brad: Mm-hmm. [00:12:00]
[00:12:01] Aaron: My entire outlook on everything changed.
[00:12:03] Brad: Wow.
[00:12:03] Aaron: I mean, it was, it was night and day.
[00:12:04] Aaron: I was like, and I took the test again after the two weeks and I knew, as I’m answering the questions, I’m like, did I feel, I, like, I feel different. I don’t even need to see the results. I already know. And the results came back and I went up, learn all of so many points, and it was like, wow. I, I, it took two weeks
[00:12:19] Brad: Yeah.
[00:12:19] Aaron: To go from like, I wish I had money to buy Zoloft. And drown and sit in my chemical imbalance and fix it. Mm-hmm. Which we now know is a, is a total lie.
[00:12:29] Brad: Complete lie. Yeah.
[00:12:30] Aaron: Like total lie. Yeah. Uh, studies come out show no. Such as chemical. Like it’s, it is the most BS ever. But that lie was, I was, I, I believed in it.
[00:12:38] Aaron: I went from that and then from starting this dianetics thing
[00:12:42] Brad: mm-hmm.
[00:12:43] Aaron: Scientology in two weeks going from like, turning my life entirely around, having an entirely different outlook on everything. And it was a quick little trip
[00:12:51] Brad: Whoa.
[00:12:51] Aaron: To Tampa.
[00:12:52] Brad: Wow.
[00:12:53] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:12:55] Brad: That’s awesome.
[00:12:55] Yeah.
[00:12:56] Brad: Okay. So that’s when you’re 16?
[00:12:58] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:12:59] Brad: Okay. [00:13:00] And then there’s, okay, so there’s an intervening period.
[00:13:04] Aaron: Yeah. I mean, I went back home.
[00:13:05] Brad: Yeah.
[00:13:06] Aaron: And like now I’m, I’m not with my dad. I’m with my mom.
[00:13:08] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:13:09] Aaron: And she still won’t drive me anywhere. So like, I mean, I changed, it was cool. I did it. I like, hey, I, I wanna do more dynamics, more Scientology, more stuff, but like.
[00:13:17] Aaron: I have no access
[00:13:18] Brad: for the record. His company is named after his mom.
[00:13:21] Aaron: That’s right.
[00:13:21] Brad: So he really loves his mom, just for the record.
[00:13:23] Aaron: Oh, yeah, absolutely.
[00:13:24] Brad: And I’ve heard him say many times how much he loves his
[00:13:26] Aaron: mom. I know she’s in, she’s incredible.
[00:13:27] Brad: Yeah. Yeah.
[00:13:28] Aaron: But I just mean like, listen, the, the, she provided everything.
[00:13:31] Aaron: She’s a single mom. She raised me and my brother all by herself. Uh, uh, my dad didn’t provide financial support. I saw him rarely. I mean, look,
[00:13:39] Brad: yeah,
[00:13:39] Aaron: he introduced me to Scientology. That was an amazing contribution. Good
[00:13:42] Brad: contribution.
[00:13:42] Aaron: Like, but my mom raised me entirely from
[00:13:45] Brad: Wow.
[00:13:45] Aaron: The time I left my house, which was when I turned 18.
[00:13:47] Aaron: Yeah. I left my house, but, uh, uh, but yeah, driving me, it’s not like, yeah, it’s a long drive to go do like, it’s just like, okay, whatever. Yeah. So anyway, so I got my, I, when I got my, uh, my, my learner’s permit or my whatever, whatever, I could drive by [00:14:00] myself and I could start driving. Then I went, at that time I went back to the church.
[00:14:05] Aaron: Mm-hmm. In Miami. Mm-hmm. And then I started like, got back in contact and everything else. And I, and, and it was kind of cool because I went there, learned all stuff, went back, I was in high school, I went to the same high school as Pitbull, um, core Park, senior high school. Wild. You know,
[00:14:18] Brad: he’s missed a worldwide junior.
[00:14:19] Aaron: Yeah. There you go. So shave his
[00:14:20] Brad: head.
[00:14:21] Aaron: Yeah. And, uh, I mean, it’s crazy times. School is, school is crazy, bro. School is school. School these days. Yeah. Even those, I don’t know how it’s these days, but, but those days was gotta be
[00:14:29] Brad: even worse.
[00:14:29] Aaron: Gotta be worse. I can imagine.
[00:14:30] Brad: Yeah.
[00:14:31] Aaron: Uh, yeah, man. And then,
[00:14:34] Brad: okay, so in that, in that intervening period, like how when you went back home, what, what did, what did you notice?
[00:14:41] Brad: Like, was anything different? Like what, like with you, with other people like
[00:14:46] Aaron: Yeah, I, I mean, I think I, I think it was just there was less uncertainty, like less of, so I think from that point I went, there was a change. Right. And, and. Probably it’s like, Hey, there’s something really wrong with me. [00:15:00] And then this, it’s way more empowering to say, Hey, there’s this thing called a reactive mind that I have, but I don’t have to listen to it.
[00:15:12] Brad: Mm.
[00:15:12] Aaron: Right. I can overcome it. There’s exact things you can do. A non-drug solution, right. That you could overcome whatever your demons, your, your, your compulsions, your, your issues. And so just having that idea, even if I, I mean, I didn’t do auditing for years after that. Right? Yeah. Um, but just knowing there is a solution.
[00:15:32] Aaron: There’s something, something can be done, right? Like it’s, there’s not, there’s not, nothing could be done. Something could be done.
[00:15:38] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:15:39] Aaron: Right? And so I think I just changed my attitude like in that way. Mm. And yeah, I mean, look, there’s only so much you’re gonna do with, like, if, if you, let’s say study for 10, 15 hours to 20 hours and you would learn some stuff.
[00:15:51] Aaron: Yeah. But you’re gonna run into problems again. Like,
[00:15:52] Brad: yeah.
[00:15:52] Aaron: Your life is not solved after 20 hours. Like. I go, you know, I go and I, and I study and, and I’m, I’m part of But with one
[00:15:58] Brad: pill.
[00:15:59] Aaron: Yeah, exactly. [00:16:00] With one pill, one second. Everything’s gonna change like that. It’s a dream. It’s a fantasy. Yeah. It’s, it’s a bad, it’s a bad science fiction.
[00:16:06] Brad: Yeah.
[00:16:06] Aaron: Uh, novel, right. Like, uh, for
[00:16:08] Brad: real
[00:16:08] Aaron: Brave New World, right?
[00:16:09] Brad: Yeah.
[00:16:09] Aaron: So like the, the, the pill is the thing that always fixes you. That’s even worse. Like a pill can, can’t do anything to you. Yeah. But if you study something for let’s say 10 hours, 20 hours, you, you could shift your mind to like, I believe this way.
[00:16:21] Aaron: And then I shifted my mindset to another one.
[00:16:24] Brad: Mm.
[00:16:24] Aaron: Right. Like, and, and, and then it just, it just changes things. Um, in fact, so in the intervening years, funny enough, there, there’d been a while I was back in school. This, this is, this is relevant, this is relevant. So, um, I was like, at some point I was kind, I was kind of back in a bit of a funk.
[00:16:40] Brad: Yeah.
[00:16:40] Aaron: Right? Like, maybe it’d been a year or something. And I was like, I don’t know. And I, you know what? I’m gonna go and, and I need, I need more Scientology stuff. I need, I need a, I need more something. I don’t know. Someone went online and, uh, I, it was, I guess I was on YouTube and some people talking trash and I’m like, what are these people are idiots?
[00:16:55] Aaron: Like, what’s happening?
[00:16:56] Brad: Yeah.
[00:16:57] Aaron: Uh, can I, how do I get info? And then I, and I ended up [00:17:00] going to, uh, the website to buy a book.
[00:17:02] Brad: Yeah,
[00:17:02] Aaron: I think it was Bridge Publications or something. I remember, ’cause it was kind of red, but I bought a book, it’s called, uh, Scientology New Slant on Life.
[00:17:09] Brad: Oh yeah.
[00:17:10] Aaron: And, uh, I was re so the reason I got it is ’cause, I mean, that’s all I could do.
[00:17:15] Aaron: I can’t go anywhere so I can read a book, so I got it.
[00:17:18] Brad: Yeah. Yeah.
[00:17:18] Aaron: And at that time in my school, there was a program called Free Reading or like free study or something. And so half an hour every day you had to read and you could read anything of your choice.
[00:17:27] Brad: Wow.
[00:17:27] Aaron: That was, that was the school curriculum.
[00:17:29] Brad: Yeah.
[00:17:29] Aaron: And I was like, this is great. So I wrote my book and I’m studying.
[00:17:31] Brad: Yeah.
[00:17:31] Aaron: And that time, that day was in my biology class and I was in my biology class. And, uh, the day before we were studying, um. Darwinism. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Charles Darwin, evolution, theory of
[00:17:46] Brad: evolution.
[00:17:46] Aaron: Yeah. All that stuff, right?
[00:17:47] Brad: Yeah.
[00:17:48] Aaron: And, uh, and I, I mean, I was studying it like in school you’re told, you’re not told to, like, see if something is true.
[00:17:58] Brad: Yeah.
[00:17:58] Aaron: In school, you, it’s
[00:17:59] Brad: like, [00:18:00] here you go, believe this,
[00:18:00] Aaron: this is it.
[00:18:01] Brad: Yeah.
[00:18:02] Aaron: And until you understand this and get it in your head, you’re gonna fail. Yeah. So, memorize this as truth.
[00:18:07] Brad: Yeah.
[00:18:08] Aaron: And you, if you learn that, then you’re a good student.
[00:18:10] Brad: Yeah.
[00:18:11] Aaron: And if you question you’re a bad student, that’s okay. That’s that.
[00:18:13] Aaron: I mean, that’s, I think that’s pretty much every school. Like I, I don’t,
[00:18:17] Brad: that’s, yeah. That definitely was my experience.
[00:18:18] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:18:18] Brad: Yeah.
[00:18:18] Aaron: So, so one day I, we learned all about Darwin. The next I’m reading Newan and Life, and I’ll have to, I’ll have to find it. ’cause I think the articles are different now than then.
[00:18:28] Aaron: Like, Newan Life is not actually a book. They’re, it’s a collection of articles.
[00:18:31] Brad: Right.
[00:18:31] Aaron: As I understand. So in that time, there was a different article about evolution. I’ll have to find it. But like, the idea that I got from it was, you know, evolution. Is not, as people will say in the schools and whatever proof that God doesn’t exist.
[00:18:49] Brad: Right.
[00:18:50] Aaron: Because that’s kind of the thing. It’s like God doesn’t exist because look, evolution happened. This people evolved. Like there was this body and then this body and this body.
[00:18:58] Brad: Yeah.
[00:18:58] Aaron: There’s your proof.
[00:18:59] Brad: [00:19:00] Yeah. Yeah.
[00:19:00] Aaron: And that’s actually what we were learning in the class.
[00:19:02] Brad: Yeah.
[00:19:02] Aaron: So after that class, I was actually thinking like, wow, that’s weird.
[00:19:08] Aaron: Like there’s no God, like, okay, there’s people evolve. Okay, well we were monkeys and now we’re this, and okay. I mean, fine. I, it wasn’t even a thing where I’m questioning, it was just like, okay, that spontaneous combustion
[00:19:19] Brad: from a sea of ammonia.
[00:19:20] Aaron: Yeah. So I, I just got it and like, that was it.
[00:19:23] Brad: Yeah.
[00:19:23] Aaron: And what was crazy is the next day I’m reading this book and it says, you never question the things that you read.
[00:19:29] Aaron: That was, it was a like, kind of a challenge, something like that. Like. Yeah, that’s normal. Like the, the, the normal way of learning is you just take it and you believe it.
[00:19:37] Brad: It said that in New Slant.
[00:19:38] Aaron: Yeah. Something, yeah. Something like that. That’s how I understood. Right?
[00:19:40] Brad: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:19:41] Aaron: And, and it was, and I was like, wait, and I remember reading this thing.
[00:19:44] Aaron: I’m like, that’s so true. That’s it’s true. Like I am not at all seeing if what I’m reading is true. I read it and believe it immediately.
[00:19:55] Brad: Wow.
[00:19:55] Aaron: And I didn’t notice that. So I, I increased my awareness of, [00:20:00] of, of re of my studies of like life I guess. Like wow, maybe you could see if something’s true or if it’s not true.
[00:20:06] Aaron: Mm-hmm. And kind of decide. ’cause I wasn’t even deciding.
[00:20:09] Brad: Yeah.
[00:20:10] Aaron: I didn’t even know. I decided that everything I read is true. It was just be below my awareness.
[00:20:15] Brad: Wow.
[00:20:16] Aaron: And so then he talked about, listen, it’s not that evolution proves God is not real. What about if evolution is a tool used by God?
[00:20:26] Brad: Yeah.
[00:20:27] Aaron: They never talk about that.
[00:20:28] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:20:28] Aaron: The evolutionist people. Mm-hmm. And I go. Wow. Like it’s not even a counter argument. There’s no, it’s like, yeah, this is the fact.
[00:20:38] Brad: Yeah.
[00:20:39] Aaron: But it’s so, I guess almost elementary or primitive that like, what if God just uses evolution as a tool to move? Yeah, that’s right. People.
[00:20:48] Brad: Yeah.
[00:20:48] Aaron: And you go, okay, so there’s no, there’s not a conflict with belief in a higher God.
[00:20:54] Aaron: Totally. To think that, yeah. Bodies change. But anyway, that That’s right. That was like a, [00:21:00] a moment. And I was like, wow. So in the intervening years, right? I got a book or I got these different things and I’d read it and then like, okay, it wasn’t much. But did
[00:21:07] Brad: anybody ever say anything or ask any questions on like, you have a book that says Scientology New Slant on Life?
[00:21:14] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:21:14] Brad: By El Ron Hubbard.
[00:21:15] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:21:16] Brad: Did anybody ever say anything when you, in your study periods while you’re reading that
[00:21:19] Aaron: book? Hardly
[00:21:20] Brad: No. No.
[00:21:20] Aaron: I, I think we definitely gotten into it, but not because of the book. I thought that might happen. Like I’m, like, someone asked me, like I’d have my book out. And I’m reading you like, and like nobody asked.
[00:21:29] Aaron: I’m like, guys,
[00:21:30] Brad: you like have the cover like open. Yeah, we have it open. Everybody else has got their books flat and you’ve got yours like, turned off.
[00:21:36] Aaron: Nobody once asked me about the bush. Wow. It’s crazy. I, I’ve had this idea too before, like, I remember one time, I mean this is totally irrelevant, but I was on a plane, I must have been on a 15, 16, or 17.
[00:21:46] Aaron: Yeah. I was on a plane, on a trip, uh, by myself. And uh, I was reading a book and there was this cute girl next to me and I’m reading the book and I’m like, man, she, she needs to think this book’s interesting, you know? And she never talked to me and I was like, it’s a [00:22:00] weird idea that you think that you, like you’re reading something if someone’s gonna meet you.
[00:22:02] Aaron: I, I feel like it just doesn’t happen. Yeah. I don’t know. Nobody ever asked me about the book. We talk about Scientology. I would talk to people about it and some of my, um, uh, the students or whatever, some of my friends, I’ve talked to ’em.
[00:22:11] Brad: Yeah.
[00:22:12] Aaron: I brought a few in. Like they actually Yeah, that’s a whole story.
[00:22:15] Aaron: I, I ended up, I ended up working at the church Right. Oh
[00:22:19] Brad: wow.
[00:22:19] Aaron: For, for about a year.
[00:22:20] Brad: Yeah.
[00:22:20] Aaron: Um, in Miami.
[00:22:21] Brad: Yeah.
[00:22:22] Aaron: And so like. We don’t have to get into that, but like I, I brought some of my friends in. Yeah. You know, Hey, check out this book, check out this thing.
[00:22:29] Brad: Yeah.
[00:22:30] Aaron: Check out this documentary. ’cause you know, the church publishes a bunch of documentaries.
[00:22:33] Brad: Yeah.
[00:22:33] Aaron: One that like, I, I tried to share to other people was this like, uh, psychiatry and industry of death.
[00:22:37] Brad: Yeah.
[00:22:38] Aaron: That DV d is is in is intense.
[00:22:41] Brad: Yeah. So there’s, it’s intense. For, for anybody who doesn’t know about it, there’s documentaries on psychiatry and it’s got a pretty interesting backstory. Crazy to put it mildly.
[00:22:55] Brad: Yeah.
[00:22:55] Aaron: Yeah. Have you ever seen that, uh, that interview with Tom Cruise right? In uh,
[00:22:58] Brad: yeah.
[00:22:58] Aaron: Lauer.
[00:22:59] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:22:59] Aaron: That [00:23:00] interview, like very bi even went viral recently again.
[00:23:02] Brad: Yeah.
[00:23:02] Aaron: But like,
[00:23:03] Brad: it’s, ’cause it’s timeless.
[00:23:04] Aaron: It it, it’s an amazing interview.
[00:23:06] Brad: Yeah.
[00:23:06] Aaron: But like, he speaks so much truth there. But why is because, dude, if you just see this documentary one time
[00:23:11] Brad: Yeah.
[00:23:11] Aaron: And you actually see like the American psychiatric, uh, American Association of Psychiatrists or whatever, a PA, okay. Yeah. These guys, they, the guy on like their logo. Actually opened up the institutions to just throw people in and torture them.
[00:23:26] Brad: Yeah.
[00:23:27] Aaron: That’s actually like the founder. And, and that’s, the guy’s still there.
[00:23:31] Aaron: Like, it’s actually like torture houses. It’s just like, Hey, you have someone that that like you don’t wanna have in your house, bring ’em here and I’ll take care of them.
[00:23:38] Brad: Crazy.
[00:23:39] Aaron: And like
[00:23:40] Brad: the crazier thing, the crazier thing about it though is that it’s actually true.
[00:23:42] Aaron: Yeah. That’s the point. You look in and you’re like, oh,
[00:23:44] Brad: like if you actually look at it, it’s like, oh, it was found that these people at this psychiatric institution were raped, abused, beaten toward.
[00:23:53] Brad: Like, it’s like, oh, you actually look at it and it’s all completely, it’s, it’s insane
[00:23:58] Aaron: what’s actually, yeah. And if you go [00:24:00] back,
[00:24:00] Brad: yeah,
[00:24:00] Aaron: if you go back before the institutions they are now. Mm-hmm. It was literally a place where there was absolutely no treatment of any kind. Not even,
[00:24:07] Brad: yeah.
[00:24:08] Aaron: Not even theoretical treatment.
[00:24:10] Aaron: Like, they didn’t even call it treatment. They’re like, you have crazy people, we will hold them for you.
[00:24:14] Brad: Yeah.
[00:24:15] Aaron: That’s what it was. But then eventually like, why are you, why am I paying you to hold these people so they have them put and invent some science around it.
[00:24:21] Brad: That’s right.
[00:24:21] Aaron: To kind of. Justify, you know?
[00:24:25] Aaron: Yeah. Getting paid for keeping PE Anyway, but the point is, if you look at Tom Cruise
[00:24:30] Brad: Yeah.
[00:24:30] Aaron: And what he talks about there.
[00:24:32] Brad: Yeah.
[00:24:32] Aaron: All of the findings, the documentation, all the stuff behind that will be in this dvd. So like in school, people would ask me and I’m like, dude, check this out. Look, they, ’cause they, some people, okay, oh my gosh.
[00:24:41] Aaron: You know, on TV they saw some crap. They did this thing. Ah, ha ha, you’re a Scientologist or something. Something. I’d be like, dude,
[00:24:46] Brad: yeah,
[00:24:46] Aaron: yeah. You guys are idiots.
[00:24:47] Brad: Yeah.
[00:24:48] Aaron: That’s, that’s funded by like pharmaceuticals because guess what? Pharmaceuticals literally are trying to kill you.
[00:24:52] Brad: Yeah.
[00:24:52] Aaron: And, uh, watch the CVD and then you could, you know, talk to me afterwards.
[00:24:56] Brad: Yeah.
[00:24:56] Aaron: And whatever. It’s, a few people watch it.
[00:24:58] Brad: Oh, that’s good.
[00:24:59] Aaron: Yeah. [00:25:00]
[00:25:00] Brad: That’s awesome. Okay, so more intervening years. So when, when, uh, ’cause now, like, I mean, I, I see you around constantly. Like we’re, we’re. Go to the church down the road. I see. Like what, what, uh, and your business is doing freaking incredible.
[00:25:17] Brad: Like what, there, there was a a point in your life that you told me about when you were, when you were on my business podcast a couple weeks ago where, you know, life was maybe like, not necessarily miserable, but it wasn’t, definitely wasn’t going the way that you wanted it to. Was there anything, like, I obviously you may maybe didn’t tell me the full, like, spiritual aspect of what happened in that time period, but was there any like, spiritual change or anything in that time period?
[00:25:45] Brad: There’s
[00:25:45] Aaron: many period. I mean,
[00:25:46] Brad: yeah.
[00:25:46] Aaron: You know, what’s,
[00:25:47] Brad: what sticks out?
[00:25:48] Aaron: I, I feel like,
[00:25:49] Brad: and the reason I ask just for, for context, for anybody who might not know is like, for me, whenever I have a huge change in my life, there’s a spiritual thing that occurs. And I don’t mean like, [00:26:00] well it’s, anyways, it’s measurable.
[00:26:01] Brad: We, we can go into that in a different, different episode, but. Like, there’s always a spiritual change, and then there’s a physical universe change after that.
[00:26:09] Aaron: Sure.
[00:26:10] Brad: The physical universe responds to what is happening with me on a spiritual level.
[00:26:15] Aaron: Absolutely.
[00:26:15] Brad: You know?
[00:26:16] Aaron: Absolutely.
[00:26:17] Brad: So,
[00:26:17] Aaron: so I mean, there’s many times, yeah.
[00:26:19] Aaron: So I, I think a, a difference with, um, I guess Scientology mm-hmm. Is like, it’s, it’s really information.
[00:26:29] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:26:30] Aaron: Right? The, the definition is knowing how to know, right. How do you know things? Knowing thing, if you know something, you could predict what’s gonna happen. Mm-hmm. If you know something, you don’t have to back away from it.
[00:26:39] Aaron: You’re not scared of it. You, you can go in eyes open and you have an idea, you have a goal and you believe you’re gonna reach it, and you overcome barriers, like, that’s a state, but there’s, there’s levels. Mm-hmm. It’s not like zero and one, it’s not binary. Right. Yeah. It’s not like, okay, I’m, I’m a, I’m terrible, or now I’m happy.
[00:26:56] Aaron: It’s like, no, there’s levels of happiness, there’s levels of misery. Like, can you [00:27:00] be a little bit less miserable, a little bit more happy? Like, and so I feel. It’s a, it’s a, it’s a bunch of tools
[00:27:06] Brad: mm-hmm.
[00:27:06] Aaron: That you use in different moments, so like
[00:27:10] Brad: Yeah,
[00:27:10] Aaron: for sure. You know, when, from when I was like 15 to the time I was 18, there was like huge jumps in different things, like just reading the book, like genetics.
[00:27:18] Aaron: I read that book. It was like, I could, I, I, it was every day I’m reading something and I go like, wow, this mind blowing and like, change and there’s some changes, but you could read the book, you could understand a little bit more and you could still be in, in a bad scenario.
[00:27:31] Brad: Yeah.
[00:27:33] Aaron: The biggest change for me in terms of like, not maybe bus, I don’t know, let just say,
[00:27:41] Brad: yeah.
[00:27:41] Aaron: Just in 2015, 2014.
[00:27:50] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:27:50] Aaron: Okay. I had, uh, I started on a course Okay. Which is called the Survival Render.
[00:27:58] Brad: Mm. Okay. [00:28:00]
[00:28:00] Aaron: Probably that’s the biggest change that occurred was in on this.
[00:28:04] Brad: Yeah.
[00:28:04] Aaron: Uh, this is, it’s ver it’s like extremely long.
[00:28:07] Brad: Yeah.
[00:28:07] Aaron: And every day, like there was just, it’s like an onion getting layers being peeled of just like garb.
[00:28:12] Aaron: It’s, it’s unbelievable. That thing is like crazy and like Yeah. Uh, you have to do things to get to there. You have to get prepared. You, you have to, it is a lot of processes. But, uh, I think on there was when I had the biggest change of like, from being not really being interested in anything big I was, before then, I didn’t wanna have kids.
[00:28:37] Aaron: Mm. Not that I didn’t wanna have kids, I just thought I was not ready.
[00:28:39] Brad: Yeah.
[00:28:40] Aaron: So I was married at that time we were living in, uh, Santa Rosa, California. And my wife, uh, was wanting to have children. And uh, I said, honey, that’s great, but like. We’re broke.
[00:28:54] Brad: Yeah.
[00:28:56] Aaron: In there. You know what I mean? Like
[00:28:58] Brad: Yeah.
[00:28:58] Aaron: Yeah. I mean, like, I’m not on [00:29:00] drugs.
[00:29:00] Aaron: I’m, I’m not, I’m not depressed. Like, I’m fine. Yeah. You know, I, I I’m having a good life, but you’re just
[00:29:04] Brad: fine.
[00:29:05] Aaron: Yeah. Mm-hmm. I’m good, like mm-hmm. In my job I did very well. Right. I was in this, uh, in a company and, uh, we did background checks on people.
[00:29:12] Brad: Oh, wow.
[00:29:13] Aaron: And it was, it was fun. Like I actually liked my job and I was way better than all my coworkers.
[00:29:18] Aaron: Right. All the coworkers that’d come in, I like do my job three times faster. I get like three times out more than them. And again, I’m not making a ton of money. I was making about like 20 bucks an hour. Yeah. But like, I could pay the bills. Me and my wife together, we pay the bills. We’re surviving. We’re good.
[00:29:32] Aaron: And, uh, kind of the next logical phase, I guess is when you’re married, you have kids like it kind of,
[00:29:38] Brad: yeah.
[00:29:39] Aaron: There’s no lot to it, but like, that’s what my wife wanted.
[00:29:42] Brad: Yeah.
[00:29:42] Aaron: And I go like, bro, like. Uh, that’s scary.
[00:29:47] Brad: Yeah.
[00:29:48] Aaron: I mean, like, we we’re hardly paying anything. We, we could pay our bills a little bit. Right.
[00:29:52] Aaron: But like, she was making more money than me. So if she’s gonna take care of the baby,
[00:29:58] Brad: Ben, then there too.
[00:29:59] Aaron: Yeah. So like, [00:30:00] uh, I’m not ready. Yeah. And so I think that was a big piece and through this, uh, the survival rundown, right. Um, and it’s called the rundown. ’cause you do auditing in there. Right. And so there’s, you deliver, you deliver, you receive, you kind of pair up with somebody.
[00:30:17] Aaron: Uh, and it was massive. I mean, I did that for over a year, every single week. A lot of hours like going in. And there was a moment where, you know, I knew we had, we were like, we’re gonna have a baby. And, uh. Guess there’s a whole, there’s a lot of, there’s a lot of pieces that, but let’s say is a moment where
[00:30:37] Brad: you knew you were gonna have a baby and it was
[00:30:39] Aaron: like a pregnancy test.
[00:30:40] Aaron: So I don’t, let me just remember. I wonder if I was already on there when my wife got pregnant.
[00:30:44] Brad: Yeah.
[00:30:46] Aaron: Um, let me see. I remember when she was six months pregnant, I was on it.
[00:30:49] Brad: Yeah.
[00:30:50] Aaron: But I don’t know if I was on it already for six months. I’m not sure if I was already on it when she got pregnant or not. I have to like look at the dates and stuff.
[00:30:55] Aaron: Yeah. And see maybe, but I know that she was pregnant [00:31:00] and I was doing it, uh, and I was at the church and there was this one process. I was doing this well, like you go right. It’s like you, you go through a thing and then you, the whole thing is you’re done. When you have a realization, you have to have a realization of something about life.
[00:31:13] Aaron: Otherwise there’s more to do. Yeah. And you continue. So like, I literally woke up, it was like waking, it was like a spiritual second of like, what, hold on. I am a father. Mm. I was, I kept thinking like, one day, you know, I’m gonna be a father. My wife’s pregnant and like. I’ll have to take care of the baby, what that’s gonna be like.
[00:31:34] Aaron: But this one moment you kind of hit me, I was like,
[00:31:36] Brad: yeah,
[00:31:37] Aaron: I am a father.
[00:31:38] Brad: This is when she’s already six months
[00:31:40] Aaron: pregnant. She six months pregnant.
[00:31:40] Brad: Yeah.
[00:31:41] Aaron: But there’s a baby, there’s a live human being there. And the future of that baby is going to be good or bad, depending solely on me.
[00:31:52] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:31:55] Aaron: I think it’s the first time in my entire life
[00:31:57] Brad: Yeah.
[00:31:59] Aaron: That I realized. [00:32:00]
[00:32:00] Brad: Did you cry?
[00:32:01] Aaron: No, I didn’t cry.
[00:32:01] Brad: Okay, good.
[00:32:03] Aaron: I might have like, good
[00:32:04] Brad: man points.
[00:32:05] Aaron: Yeah. Yeah. I might have, I, I don’t wanna say any bad words, but I was almost like, yeah, yeah,
[00:32:09] Brad: yeah.
[00:32:10] Aaron: I was like,
[00:32:10] Brad: should we not say bad words? I
[00:32:11] Aaron: don’t know. I don’t think we’re probably gonna say that. I don’t think so. I think good.
[00:32:13] Aaron: I don’t like, I mean, no bad
[00:32:14] Brad: words. Okay, fine.
[00:32:15] Aaron: We, we’ll, we’ll we’ll talk about it more, but I don’t, I don’t like to, I don’t like to cuss. ’cause you know what, my daughter, my daughter could be watching and she’s, yeah, it’s true. Anyways, it’s fine. It’s a different thing. And other kids, we
[00:32:24] Brad: can just bleep it.
[00:32:25] Aaron: So listen, yeah.
[00:32:25] Aaron: We should bleep it.
[00:32:26] Brad: Yeah. Okay. We should bleep
[00:32:26] Aaron: it. Yeah.
[00:32:27] Brad: Because then like,
[00:32:28] Aaron: let’s bleep it.
[00:32:28] Brad: Yeah. Okay. Then I can curse. You cannot, but nobody has to hear it.
[00:32:32] Aaron: Perfect
[00:32:33] Brad: deal.
[00:32:33] Aaron: Love that. Okay, good, good deal, deal, deal, deal, deal. Okay. So in that moment, there was never a time in my life before then that I realized that I was fully responsible for anything.
[00:32:46] Brad: Oh, wow.
[00:32:47] Aaron: Nothing. I mean, like nothing like if something in school, like, well, the teacher was bad and that’s why I got a bad grade.
[00:32:54] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:32:55] Aaron: Uh, if I, you know, something made messed up, so blah. If like I got in a fight with somebody, well they’re [00:33:00] mean. Like if my job I’m making $20 an hour, like, well the other guys, no.
[00:33:05] Aaron: But I, I, I applied for places and I called no callbacks for like three or four months and I just felt like, well, nobody understands and like it was always someone else. I tried to do an online business that failed and I’m like, well, it’s too late. I should have gotten earlier. Like there’s, it’s always some something else in someone else.
[00:33:21] Brad: Yeah.
[00:33:23] Aaron: Because like if there’s a problem on the street, like the police should fix it. No. Yeah. Like if, if, if, if someone gets into a fight, like, okay, the police will come if, if, uh, I don’t know, something’s bad in the school, like some principal should fix it. Like everything has someone to, to fix. Yeah. And I’m not part of it.
[00:33:38] Aaron: I never saw myself as a, a vital role in anybody’s existence. And in that moment I said, I am it this ba There’s no one else who’s gonna take care of that baby.
[00:33:51] Brad: Yeah.
[00:33:51] Aaron: I mean, my wife of course, but like my wife can only be with the baby if I bring enough money for that to the house.
[00:33:57] Brad: Yeah.
[00:33:57] Aaron: And there’s a mom role and there’s a dad role, [00:34:00] and there is no one who will do this job other than me.
[00:34:03] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:34:03] Aaron: And I never felt that in my life.
[00:34:05] Brad: Wow.
[00:34:06] Aaron: So it was a, a, a spiritual moment of like
[00:34:09] Brad: mm-hmm.
[00:34:11] Aaron: I’m needed.
[00:34:12] Brad: Mm. I
[00:34:12] Aaron: actually have a role, I have a job to do. I can’t just sit around and watch things happen. Like. There’s a seat there waiting for me.
[00:34:21] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:34:21] Aaron: Right. There’s, and, and, and I think there was a huge change.
[00:34:25] Aaron: Um, I don’t think I would’ve really come to that realization. There’s a lot of people that are parents mm-hmm. That really don’t know their parents. Like, they don’t see themselves as a vital role in their child’s life.
[00:34:33] Brad: Parents
[00:34:34] Aaron: who
[00:34:34] Brad: don’t know that they are parents. Yeah.
[00:34:35] Aaron: Meaning,
[00:34:36] Brad: yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:34:37] Aaron: The child is gonna do what they’re gonna do and, um, you know, you can’t be, you know, talk to, I don’t know.
[00:34:45] Aaron: Mm-hmm. Like, you’re kind of, you’re here, like, the baby’s over there and like, they’re gonna ripen like a fruit.
[00:34:53] Brad: Yeah.
[00:34:53] Aaron: And, uh, they’ll be done one day and like, that’s it. I’m, I’m serious. Talk to people. No,
[00:34:57] Brad: you’re right.
[00:34:58] Aaron: You’re right. Well, what, you know, why is your child [00:35:00] some way? It’s like, well, they were born that way.
[00:35:02] Aaron: There’s a chemical imbalance, there’s a disease, blah, blah, blah. There’s all these reasons, but if you really realize you have an important, vital role in that child’s life, the way they are, the habits they have, the beliefs they have, like what they do. And, and I took that on.
[00:35:16] Brad: Yeah.
[00:35:16] Aaron: And I guess that’s the first time that I decided that I had to actually go in and, and, and take a, a serious role in, in, in this world.
[00:35:25] Brad: Wow, dude. That’s beautiful. It’s also awesome. And it, and it makes sense in terms of how things are going for you now, just in the way that you described it. ’cause you’d agree things are going pretty good and at this point in your life, right? Yeah. Tariffs aside. Yeah.
[00:35:39] Aaron: The tariffs
[00:35:40] Brad: aside,
[00:35:40] Aaron: like, listen, the tariffs are happening.
[00:35:41] Aaron: Right. Even that,
[00:35:43] Brad: what did you do to cause the
[00:35:44] Aaron: tariffs here? Well, no, but here’s, let me explain the thing about the tariffs. We knew we had to get out of China and make stuff not in China. Mm. And we, we did that project a little bit and we didn’t fully pursue it. But here’s
[00:35:54] Brad: how did you, how did you, what do you mean you
[00:35:56] Aaron: knew?
[00:35:56] Aaron: Well, this is Trump’s second presidency.
[00:35:58] Brad: Yeah.
[00:35:58] Aaron: So the first presidency there was a, [00:36:00] a, a, a wave of tariffs.
[00:36:01] Brad: There was
[00:36:02] Aaron: absolutely.
[00:36:03] Brad: Oh really?
[00:36:03] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:36:04] Brad: Just not this big.
[00:36:05] Aaron: No. And it was applied to some items. We, we were affected minorly. But like the conversation is there. It’s like the writing is on the wall. Like we could have prepared for better, but at the same time Wow.
[00:36:15] Aaron: We’re not like, here’s the point, if, if our company, let’s say the value gets slashed in half.
[00:36:19] Brad: Yeah.
[00:36:21] Aaron: We still have more income than, you know, we’re still in the top 1%. Yeah. Like by far. Yeah. So it’s not like it’s a huge problem, but like it’s not that huge of a problem.
[00:36:32] Brad: Yeah, yeah.
[00:36:33] Aaron: Like it’s more of an issue. I mean, whatever.
[00:36:35] Aaron: So. We’ll, we’ll, we’ll get a that later, but yes. I mean, things are good.
[00:36:37] Brad: Yeah.
[00:36:38] Aaron: I, I feel, okay. Can I tell you one thing?
[00:36:40] Brad: Well, I love that you actually had an answer for how you’re responsible for the, the problem of the terrorist case. A hundred percent. Because you actually knew it was coming
[00:36:47] Aaron: No, no.
[00:36:47] Brad: Eight years ago, basically.
[00:36:48] Aaron: Absolutely. No, no. Like,
[00:36:49] Brad: wow.
[00:36:50] Aaron: That that was a, and we actually took, I took back and I had some conversations with the suppliers to change from back then.
[00:36:56] Brad: Yeah.
[00:36:56] Aaron: And, and
[00:36:57] Brad: Wow. We
[00:36:57] Aaron: stopped pursuing it. I was like, well, it’s [00:37:00] okay now.
[00:37:01] Brad: But
[00:37:01] Aaron: anyway,
[00:37:01] Brad: so there I, I actually, I feel the need to mention something. Sure, sure.
[00:37:04] Brad: So one, one thing that, one of my favorite, actually my favorite book that l Ron Hubbard ever wrote, I love Dianetics. This was his first book I ever read by LRH, but his my, the favorite book is the ethics book. It said Little Green Book. I was thinking
[00:37:17] Aaron: about that yesterday.
[00:37:18] Brad: Yeah. I
[00:37:18] Aaron: said, look, dude, everyone has to do the course, not just the book, but there’s also a course with it.
[00:37:23] Brad: Yeah.
[00:37:23] Aaron: I’ve done it probably three times the course and I probably read the book. I haven’t done the course. You haven’t done the course.
[00:37:27] Brad: But bro, that book’s open on my desk every day just for how do I handle something? I know for the
[00:37:32] Aaron: bleeps goal, that’s where the
[00:37:33] Brad: bleep I know that’s here goes the bleeps.
[00:37:35] Brad: Yeah, you’re gonna, yeah. Um, but my point in that is there, there’s a probably if I were to drop an a used ethics book Yeah. On the table, and it would just on the spine and let it open to some random page.
[00:37:47] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:37:47] Brad: For almost any Scientologist, you’d probably drop that book on the table. It would open to a page, which is called The Condition of Danger.
[00:37:57] Brad: Well, that’s what it is for me. ’cause I open the up to the danger [00:38:00] condition constantly.
[00:38:01] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:38:02] Brad: And it’s not that, I don’t know what it says by this point, but I literally go back and reread it and it’s like, okay, here’s what I gotta do. So that, and, and in there it talks about if, you know, if it isn’t fully done and organization can have trouble getting past that point in the future.
[00:38:18] Aaron: Absolutely.
[00:38:18] Brad: Right. That’s kind of the concept. That’s not exact quote, but I literally heard you say that about the terrace and I’m like, oh my God, he’s got an incomplete danger condition. Oh, a
[00:38:26] Aaron: hundred percent. No, we, we knew it was coming.
[00:38:28] Brad: Yeah. Yeah.
[00:38:29] Aaron: Like it’s, it’s not anyway, not nude. Like whatever.
[00:38:32] Brad: Yeah, yeah.
[00:38:33] Aaron: Fine. So I kind of lost my thought process a little bit on there, but I was gonna say something, but it’s all, it’s gone.
[00:38:39] Brad: Yeah, no, it’s all good. So I was asking you, um, about the tariffs and then,
[00:38:44] Aaron: oh, things are going pretty good.
[00:38:45] Brad: Yeah.
[00:38:45] Oh,
[00:38:46] Aaron: this is what I wanna say about that. There’s, at some point we’re gonna have to have like a, a, a dig of books out so we can take it out and like show these different
[00:38:54] Brad: quotes.
[00:38:55] Brad: Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
[00:38:56] Aaron: But there’s this, this concept that I feel is [00:39:00] vital for any person in their life.
[00:39:01] Brad: Yeah.
[00:39:05] Aaron: And it’s not being fully satisfied.
[00:39:10] Brad: Yeah.
[00:39:10] Aaron: Because
[00:39:11] Brad: Is that in an LRH book?
[00:39:13] Aaron: I’ll have to show you, dude. There’s one. It’s about, it’s about called, I read this a few days. Okay. Can I tell you something? When, when, when? When I’m learning. Okay. When I’m learning something.
[00:39:23] Brad: Yeah.
[00:39:24] Aaron: At the most, when you have the biggest growth of a, a shift in mindset, it’s when you, when you see something, and once you don’t fully agree with it.
[00:39:34] Brad: Mm.
[00:39:35] Aaron: You see? Because if, if you hear something like, yeah, I agree with that. I agree with that. I no change. You always agree.
[00:39:39] Brad: Yeah.
[00:39:40] Aaron: Well, you’re not changing any, no
[00:39:40] Brad: change.
[00:39:41] Aaron: That’s right. I just hear like, I don’t know. Some things that like, cool. May, maybe, let’s say they’re true, but like nothing changes.
[00:39:47] Brad: Yeah.
[00:39:47] Aaron: Okay. Family’s important. Yes. Family’s important. Cool. Or, or
[00:39:50] Brad: a statement that’s like guys named Aaron who grew up in Miami are great.
[00:39:54] Aaron: Thank you.
[00:39:55] Brad: It’s like,
[00:39:55] Aaron: like, okay,
[00:39:55] Brad: no disagreement,
[00:39:56] Aaron: no change, nothing changed, right? Like, okay, hey, um, [00:40:00] businesses can do good things. Yes, I agree.
[00:40:02] Brad: Yeah.
[00:40:02] Aaron: Okay, cool. Like nothing changed in your mindset.
[00:40:06] Brad: Yeah.
[00:40:06] Aaron: Right.
[00:40:07] Brad: Yeah.
[00:40:07] Aaron: But there was this, I’m actually gonna put it out right now ’cause we have time.
[00:40:11] Brad: I’m gonna
[00:40:11] Aaron: grab a Hold on,
[00:40:12] Brad: grab go. That’s fine.
[00:40:14] Aaron: Alright. This came to me, so I’m, I’m on this like, uh, this quote of the day.
[00:40:17] Brad: Yeah.
[00:40:17] Aaron: Right From, uh, this is from, yeah. Bridge Publications, but this is from a set of lectures called the Unification Congress.
[00:40:25] Aaron: I’ve not listened to them.
[00:40:26] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:40:26] Aaron: I, I don’t know really what everything’s about, but I read this and I go, whew, okay. No matter where you look, no matter what you do in life, you could do it better, couldn’t you? No matter who you’re working with, they could be a better partner, couldn’t they? This intolerance may be very onerous to some of us, but it’s all there is.
[00:40:51] Aaron: That makes civilization. Is that very intolerance. Intolerance of somebody not doing well or being, well, [00:41:00] intolerance of people not being up to the point they should be. Remember that the day we become tolerant of frailty, that day we become vegetables our 100.
[00:41:13] Brad: Wow. The day we become tolerant of frailty,
[00:41:18] Aaron: like,
[00:41:19] Brad: damn,
[00:41:19] Aaron: you can’t do anything.
[00:41:20] Aaron: You’re, oh, it’s all good.
[00:41:22] Brad: I feel bad for you would be,
[00:41:24] Aaron: yeah, exactly. Yeah. Like, oh, I, I failed this, failed that, failed this. No. It’s like, dude, like, wow, let’s go. Like, pick it up. Like
[00:41:34] Brad: Yeah,
[00:41:34] Aaron: you can do better than that.
[00:41:35] Brad: Yeah.
[00:41:36] Aaron: And so it’s this level of intolerance.
[00:41:39] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:41:39] Aaron: And I, and I, at first I read that, I’m like, what do you mean intolerance?
[00:41:43] Aaron: How’s that good? Like what? And then I started coming up to changing my idea of like, no. Like, we can do better.
[00:41:53] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:41:53] Aaron: So, with myself, it’s the same thing. To myself, it’s like, yeah, I’m doing fine. Like things are, but I [00:42:00] could do better.
[00:42:00] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:42:01] Aaron: I like, I want to get to that next, I wanna, that kind of hunger of wanting to be better is necessary for us.
[00:42:08] Aaron: Like, why would we go and have a podcast? Yeah. Why would we go and have a business? Why, like, you could just stay at home. Like both of us have enough money to just like, if we wanted to for the rest of our lives, just be at home and watch TV and like have fun and just relax the all the time. Yeah. That could be there.
[00:42:23] Aaron: But you know what, I’m not okay with the way that some of these things are, and like, I want to go and help these other guys. I want, I want to change things. And so there’s that intolerance of the bad things. Like I want them to be better.
[00:42:37] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:42:37] Aaron: In a way that’s a, it’s a negative view. Mm-hmm. ’cause you’re saying something is not as good as it should be.
[00:42:41] Brad: That’s right.
[00:42:41] Aaron: So, but like that is important.
[00:42:45] Brad: Yeah.
[00:42:45] Aaron: You, you can’t just be happy with the way everything is.
[00:42:48] Brad: Mm-hmm. Because.
[00:42:50] Aaron: Then you’re in a state of no change.
[00:42:51] Brad: Yeah.
[00:42:52] Aaron: And nothing will happen. And, and you’re gonna go down
[00:42:55] Brad: vegetable,
[00:42:55] Aaron: you know? Yeah.
[00:42:56] Brad: Yeah.
[00:42:57] Aaron: I don’t like that
[00:42:57] Brad: dude. That so communicates. That’s like,
[00:42:59] Aaron: [00:43:00] yeah.
[00:43:02] Brad: One thing that is really an interesting thing, there’s a lot of places where, uh, LRH talks about sympathy, and that quote made me think about sympathy a lot. Mm-hmm. It’s, it’s, if you really look at sympathy, it’s not such a good thing. Just like, ’cause in that if, if you just take that quote
[00:43:24] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:43:24] Brad: Right. Like tolerance of frailty.
[00:43:27] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:43:28] Brad: I would say that a kind of synonymous thing with that would be sympathizing. Like, oh, I feel so bad that he broke his leg. It’s like, okay, good. I’m not happy that the guy broke his leg. But what did he do to cause his leg to get broken?
[00:43:41] Aaron: Well, and even, and when that’s more real to people.
[00:43:44] Brad: Yeah. Maybe
[00:43:45] Aaron: that’s unreal.
[00:43:45] Aaron: Right? Like, let’s just put that like
[00:43:46] Brad: Yeah. Yeah.
[00:43:46] Aaron: I’ll tell you, it took me a while to like. Come to a point of understanding that if like I got into an accident, I I could have done something to not get into it. That’s right. Like I, that’s a, that’s a, not everybody can understand that, but what about this?
[00:43:59] Brad: Yeah. [00:44:00]
[00:44:00] Aaron: I actually know someone, um, let’s say they’re in a relationship
[00:44:04] Brad: nine
[00:44:05] Aaron: with an abusive husband
[00:44:06] Brad: Sure.
[00:44:07] Aaron: Or an abusive boyfriend or abusive girlfriend or whatever.
[00:44:10] Brad: Yeah.
[00:44:10] Aaron: Like, maybe no. A, a, a person, um, who is actually in a relationship with someone who like beats them.
[00:44:17] Brad: Yeah.
[00:44:19] Aaron: And you say poor girl. I agree.
[00:44:22] Aaron: That’s a horrible scenario.
[00:44:23] Brad: Yeah, yeah, of course.
[00:44:24] Aaron: But like,
[00:44:24] Brad: yeah.
[00:44:25] Aaron: It’s been 10 years.
[00:44:26] Brad: Yeah.
[00:44:27] Aaron: It’s been 10 years. Mm-hmm. Like, let’s, like, uh, what’s going on? You know what I mean? Yeah. Like, yeah. So my family and me were originally from Venezuela and Venezuela. Things are a little bit tough. Mm-hmm. And like, there’s more, there’s probably more of that than there is here.
[00:44:42] Aaron: Right. Over there.
[00:44:44] Brad: Yeah.
[00:44:44] Aaron: But like. Same with Okay. The over there there’s a lot of like, uh, blame.
[00:44:49] Brad: Mm.
[00:44:49] Aaron: And like the, just at some point you have to say, what am I gonna do about it?
[00:44:55] Brad: Yeah.
[00:44:55] Aaron: And so I think if you, if you, what you’re saying is like, poor [00:45:00] you, poor you, poor you.
[00:45:01] Brad: Yeah.
[00:45:01] Aaron: But otherwise, let’s say you had the intolerance.
[00:45:04] Aaron: No, dude, you need to get out of there.
[00:45:06] Brad: Yeah, that’s
[00:45:06] Aaron: right. You can do something. You could stand up
[00:45:08] Brad: Yeah.
[00:45:08] Aaron: And leave. Mm-hmm. Have you tried it? And I’ve asked, and they’re like, no, I’ve, I I wouldn’t because this and this will happen. This. I’m like, but if you haven’t even like, tried to leave.
[00:45:17] Brad: Yeah.
[00:45:17] Aaron: Or just go, or like, go to your sister’s house.
[00:45:20] Aaron: Go to your mom’s house. Go to go to your daughter’s house. Go, just go somewhere.
[00:45:24] Brad: Yeah.
[00:45:25] Aaron: And say like, I’m not gonna go back to that.
[00:45:27] Brad: Yeah.
[00:45:28] Aaron: And so there’s a moment of, of empowering that person mm-hmm. To make a decision that will change your life. Mm-hmm. As opposed to saying like, poor you, poor you, poor you.
[00:45:35] Brad: Yeah.
[00:45:35] Aaron: I feel for you.
[00:45:36] Brad: That’s right.
[00:45:36] Aaron: That’s a terrible person.
[00:45:37] Brad: Yeah. Because the, you’re right. That the poor you thing, it pulls you into the trap of you can’t do anything about it. Right. Yeah. Which is just patently false. Yeah. You can always do something about it. Okay. So switching gears a little bit, how, so by this point, we’ve established been a Scientologist for quite a while.
[00:45:53] Brad: Like it’s
[00:45:54] Aaron: 20 years
[00:45:55] Brad: created
[00:45:55] Aaron: guess, right?
[00:45:56] Brad: Yeah. I had 20 something that six? Yeah, maybe, [00:46:00] I guess from what, what year? 2006.
[00:46:02] Aaron: Yeah. I mean, I, in, technically I did it my first course at 13.
[00:46:06] Brad: Okay.
[00:46:07] Aaron: But like, you know what? I don’t know. What, when do you want to It’s fine. 20, at least 20 years.
[00:46:12] Brad: Okay, good. So 20 plus years you have this amazing business is, do you attribute any of your business success to any data that you’ve gotten from Scientology or being a Scientologist or any like gain that you’ve gotten that,
[00:46:26] Aaron: I mean,
[00:46:27] Brad: talk about that.
[00:46:29] Aaron: Okay.
[00:46:30] Brad: Because, and I, the reason that is, I think this is really important is that people, I, there, there’s a misconception, I’ve, I’ve actually done videos about this on, on my own channel where I talk about, it’s like people kind of have a misconception that it’s. Like, there’s a lot of rich people in Scientology.
[00:46:47] Brad: It’s actually true.
[00:46:48] Aaron: It is
[00:46:49] Brad: true, but it’s not for the reason that people think. It’s like,
[00:46:51] Aaron: it’s not because I was not, I was not rich when I came in Scientology.
[00:46:54] Brad: Me either.
[00:46:55] Aaron: You become
[00:46:55] Brad: not, didn’t have, didn’t have two fucking dimes. Didn’t have two nickels. Right. Was that two nickels to rub [00:47:00] together?
[00:47:00] Aaron: You were broke.
[00:47:01] Brad: Broke, like,
[00:47:03] Aaron: yeah.
[00:47:04] Brad: Yeah. My broke
[00:47:05] Aaron: like a joke.
[00:47:05] Brad: Yeah. Like literally like a joke. Okay. So that’s why I think it’s important for me to ask. I’ll tell
[00:47:10] Aaron: you what, you know what, so tell me about here. Here’s, I know a lot of Scientologists. Yeah. I mean, we live in Clearwater. Yeah.
[00:47:16] Brad: There’s a
[00:47:17] Aaron: lot of Scientologists here.
[00:47:17] Aaron: Yeah. Okay. And almost all of the rich ones.
[00:47:24] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:47:24] Aaron: Stereo Scientology when they were not rich.
[00:47:26] Brad: That’s right.
[00:47:28] Aaron: Like mm-hmm. Varied. Like, and, and, and I did a uh, I did a mathematical calculation. Okay. Go ahead.
[00:47:34] Brad: I think it might actually be all of them.
[00:47:36] Aaron: Well, like not if it’s like the child of a rich Scientologist.
[00:47:40] Brad: Yeah. Yeah. What I, but I’m thinking all like the heads of household.
[00:47:43] Aaron: Hudsons of hustles.
[00:47:45] Brad: I can’t think of one who wasn’t.
[00:47:46] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:47:47] Brad: Like I can’t even think of any who were like well off.
[00:47:53] Aaron: I could probably
[00:47:54] Brad: have a
[00:47:54] Aaron: few even. I could
[00:47:54] Brad: probably,
[00:47:55] Aaron: but like
[00:47:55] Brad: he’s the vast majority. Even, even Grant was a millionaire when he actually like walked in the door.
[00:47:59] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:47:59] Brad: But he [00:48:00] read Dianes when he was 25.
[00:48:01] Aaron: Oh, I didn’t know that.
[00:48:03] Brad: Yeah,
[00:48:05] Aaron: I didn’t
[00:48:05] know.
[00:48:05] Brad: That’s what got him off of drugs actually.
[00:48:06] Aaron: Wow.
[00:48:07] Brad: He did rehab and then he read diabetics and that’s actually what kept him off drugs.
[00:48:10] Brad: What? Yeah. He ever,
[00:48:11] Aaron: you
[00:48:11] Brad: never heard that?
[00:48:12] Aaron: No, I know. What’s that?
[00:48:12] Brad: Yeah,
[00:48:13] Aaron: he, he talked to you like in a, in
[00:48:14] Brad: the seminar? He, no, he did he on
[00:48:16] Aaron: the video?
[00:48:16] Brad: It was in, uh, well he talked about it when he, he did a seminar one time and he talked about twice actually. And then he said that in a video that he did with, um, with Charlie.
[00:48:26] Brad: With Charlie Wack. Okay. Charlie
[00:48:27] Aaron: Ackley.
[00:48:27] Brad: Yeah. Yeah. So we’ll have to get Charlie on and you know. Yeah. Let’s do it.
[00:48:30] Aaron: That’s great.
[00:48:31] Brad: Yeah.
[00:48:31] Aaron: So
[00:48:32] Brad: Grant as well, obviously.
[00:48:33] Aaron: Yeah, of course.
[00:48:33] Brad: Grant ell.
[00:48:34] Aaron: So how many. Let’s just say how, how many Scientologists do you think are in the world?
[00:48:48] Brad: I would love to know the actual answer. It’s gotta be a million or two, maybe. Something like that.
[00:48:54] Aaron: Let’s, let’s say that
[00:48:54] Brad: one or 2 million, let’s say. That sounds right, right?
[00:48:55] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:48:56] Brad: Yeah.
[00:48:56] Aaron: Who knows? And like, who are the Scientologists is also like,
[00:48:59] Brad: yeah, [00:49:00] yeah. Have you read a book?
[00:49:01] Aaron: Yeah, exactly. Like there’s definitions, like, yeah.
[00:49:03] Aaron: I don’t know. I mean, there’s, there’s, uh, there’s thousands Yeah. Of groups and missions and churches and everything, right?
[00:49:10] Brad: Yeah.
[00:49:10] Aaron: And so it’s each whatever that, if, if each one had 20 Scientologists, that’s already, like, that’s already a lot.
[00:49:16] Brad: Yeah.
[00:49:17] Aaron: Right? That’s, that’s whatever. Yeah. Point is it’s a lot of people.
[00:49:21] Brad: Yeah.
[00:49:21] Aaron: It’s definitely, let’s, let’s say, let’s say 2 million.
[00:49:24] Brad: It’s gotta be a couple million.
[00:49:25] Aaron: Yeah. Let’s say 2 million. Let’s just say now, how many billionaires are there, Scientologists?
[00:49:34] Brad: I, I don’t actually know the, the right number. ’cause there I find I learn about new ones. Like all really the time. Oh yeah.
[00:49:40] Aaron: Okay.
[00:49:40] Brad: Yeah. There’s this real estate owner that I didn’t even know about who’s literally his wife. His wife went to an event that I was at and she, and she’s like, da, da da. And it’s like, he’s a fucking billionaire.
[00:49:49] Brad: I never heard of this guy before.
[00:49:50] Aaron: Okay.
[00:49:51] Brad: Do you know, do you, what’s the number you’re thinking with?
[00:49:54] Aaron: Let’s ask at least three.
[00:49:55] Brad: Yeah.
[00:49:56] Aaron: At least.
[00:49:56] Brad: Oh, I think it’s higher than that.
[00:49:57] Aaron: Well, okay. But
[00:49:58] Brad: I think it’s five. You name, I think it’s five or six.
[00:49:59] Aaron: [00:50:00] You know what I mean? Yeah. Okay, fine. Let’s say there six.
[00:50:01] Brad: Yeah.
[00:50:02] Aaron: Is it public information?
[00:50:03] Aaron: You can’t say, everybody. Not say, don’t say I, Don Dunno if I should. Okay. Yeah. Let’s, let’s say there’s, I know three for sure
[00:50:13] Brad: are, are Bob and Trish separate in that or together? No, together. Okay. So them Grant.
[00:50:18] Aaron: Yep.
[00:50:18] Brad: Tom.
[00:50:20] Aaron: I dunno if
[00:50:20] Brad: Tom on paper. On paper is his? Yeah, I think so. Yeah.
[00:50:22] Aaron: Okay.
[00:50:23] Brad: I, I don’t, I don’t have inside information on that, but I’ve, I was told by somebody,
[00:50:27] Aaron: and this is not Tom Cruise, by the way, this is Tom Thomas.
[00:50:29] Brad: Well, that might, I don’t know.
[00:50:31] Brad: I don’t, he’s, I don’t think he’s, I don’t, yeah. This is like real talk.
[00:50:34] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:50:34] Brad: But I think, I think Tom, just in stuff he said publicly in terms of revenue numbers, if he were to do an exit, maybe
[00:50:40] Aaron: if he saw everything could
[00:50:41] Brad: be, if he did an exit right now, I think it would be a bit, well, yeah,
[00:50:44] Aaron: and I think in the level of, uh, like Stu Shaman,
[00:50:47] Brad: oh, I forgot about Stu.
[00:50:48] Brad: Yeah. So that’s four.
[00:50:49] Aaron: So I’m thinking Duggan.
[00:50:50] Brad: Yeah.
[00:50:51] Aaron: Shaman.
[00:50:51] Brad: Yep.
[00:50:51] Aaron: Cardone.
[00:50:52] Brad: Yeah.
[00:50:52] Aaron: Okay. That’s three.
[00:50:54] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:50:55] Aaron: Let’s say there’s,
[00:50:56] Brad: there’s for sure at least one more that I know about. So add one. Okay. Yeah.
[00:50:58] Aaron: So let’s say there’s,
[00:50:59] Brad: but that’s a very [00:51:00] private one.
[00:51:00] Aaron: Let’s say there’s, let’s be generous and say there’s 3 million Scientologists,
[00:51:04] Brad: and I think there’s a fifth, but that’s for another.
[00:51:06] Aaron: Yeah, that’s fine. But that’s fine. There’s three. There’s at least three. Okay. There’s at least three. Okay. That’s one in a million chance for you to be a billionaire.
[00:51:14] Brad: Yeah.
[00:51:16] Aaron: That’s much higher than average. Oh,
[00:51:17] Brad: wow. Yeah, yeah,
[00:51:17] Aaron: yeah. Much higher than average. Actually, a billionaires in the world, there’s someone like 2 billion, 2000 millionaires, a billionaire,
[00:51:23] Brad: 2000 billionaires.
[00:51:23] Really?
[00:51:24] Aaron: Approximately. Wow. So if you take 7 billion people,
[00:51:26] Brad: yeah.
[00:51:28] Aaron: I don’t even know what the number is, but that’s like your chance is like 0.0 0, 0 0 2 8. I dunno how to do that. How do you do the math on that?
[00:51:37] Brad: Well, then you just gotta do one. One divided by a million.
[00:51:41] Aaron: One divided. Oh yeah, yeah, exactly.
[00:51:42] Aaron: Compare that one. Let’s see. Yeah. One divided by a million. That’s 0.0, 0 0 1.
[00:51:50] Brad: Are you really?
[00:51:51] Aaron: Yeah. So, so,
[00:51:53] Brad: wow. There’s like a 10 times better chance.
[00:51:55] Aaron: Oh, more than that. It’s like, it’s like a thousand year, your chance to become a billionaire is [00:52:00] improved by like a thousand percent. Or this should just be the,
[00:52:03] Brad: this should just be, this is the ultimate app for Scientology.
[00:52:07] Aaron: Listen,
[00:52:08] Brad: do you wanna increase your chances of becoming a billionaire by 1000 x?
[00:52:12] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:52:12] Brad: Read the book Dianetics by hundred.
[00:52:14] Aaron: I’m serious. Well, but here’s, here’s the thing. It’s, this is a fact. Like
[00:52:17] Brad: it
[00:52:18] Aaron: san say, well, there’s not three, 3 million Scientologists. Okay, well then your chances this went up.
[00:52:22] Brad: Yeah, that’s
[00:52:22] Aaron: right.
[00:52:22] Aaron: And let say it’s not three billionaires. That’s
[00:52:23] Brad: right.
[00:52:23] Aaron: It’s five or what? Like there’s some maybe other ones for sure.
[00:52:25] Brad: It’s at least five.
[00:52:26] Aaron: You get what I’m saying?
[00:52:26] Brad: Yeah. Like
[00:52:27] Aaron: the chances of becoming a billionaire
[00:52:29] Brad: Yeah. Wow.
[00:52:30] Aaron: Are so much higher.
[00:52:32] Brad: And each of
[00:52:33] those
[00:52:33] Brad: did it. After
[00:52:35] Aaron: a hundred percent. None of were cytologists
[00:52:36] Brad: completely after
[00:52:37] Aaron: none of ’em were Scientologists.
[00:52:38] Aaron: Yeah. We’ve never gotten a billionaire to be a Scientologist.
[00:52:41] Brad: That’s true.
[00:52:42] Aaron: Never happened.
[00:52:42] Brad: That’s true.
[00:52:43] Aaron: So all these are
[00:52:44] Brad: and
[00:52:44] Aaron: post
[00:52:45] Brad: Scientology
[00:52:45] Aaron: billions.
[00:52:46] Brad: Yeah. I don’t know that it ever will happen. I, because the need for change would be so low at that point. Like, yeah, because people, people,
[00:52:52] Aaron: I will happen one day, dude, come on.
[00:52:54] Aaron: It’s gonna happen one day.
[00:52:55] Brad: Yeah. Maybe.
[00:52:56] Aaron: Come on,
[00:52:56] Brad: inflation. Come on. A billionaire will be like, today’s thousandaire.
[00:52:59] Aaron: Yeah. Ab [00:53:00] I know, I see that all the time. I’m like, listen bro, I got like 50 years of business at least left of me.
[00:53:05] Brad: Yeah,
[00:53:05] Aaron: bro. A billionaire is not even gonna be hard like in 50 years, bro. Like, true.
[00:53:10] Aaron: Anyway, so, but your chances of becoming a billionaire are literally whatever. I could do the math that again, like off, off air, but it’s like 10,000 x
[00:53:18] Brad: Wow.
[00:53:19] Aaron: It’s like, I don’t know. It’s, it’s, it, your chances are so higher.
[00:53:21] Brad: It’s, yeah, it’s true. It’s
[00:53:22] Aaron: ridiculous.
[00:53:22] Brad: It’s true.
[00:53:23] Aaron: And, and some of the billionaires that exist are.
[00:53:26] Aaron: Born billionaire, so they weren’t into it so that you can even take them out. Like it, it’s even harder. So
[00:53:31] Brad: really the, the point
[00:53:32] Aaron: self-made billionaire point, I
[00:53:33] Brad: wonder
[00:53:33] Aaron: what number that
[00:53:33] Brad: is. Point would be a self-made first generation billionaire. What are the, I don’t know. Wow.
[00:53:39] Aaron: Me and, and I’ll tell you why.
[00:53:40] Aaron: For me,
[00:53:40] Brad: yeah.
[00:53:42] Aaron: The first time that I ever decided, actually not even decided, the first time I had the goal to ever become a millionaire
[00:53:51] Brad: mm-hmm.
[00:53:51] Aaron: Was on the free one, which is a, a religious retreat.
[00:53:54] Brad: Yeah.
[00:53:55] Aaron: Uh, uh It’s a boat. Cruise ship.
[00:53:56] Brad: Yeah. Yeah.
[00:53:57] Aaron: Owned by the church.
[00:53:58] Brad: I shouldn’t say a boat. That’s,
[00:53:59] Aaron: yeah. Yeah. I’m,
[00:53:59] Brad: it’s [00:54:00] cruise boat.
[00:54:00] Brad: Boat. It’s a huge ship.
[00:54:01] Aaron: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But I was, I was, I was on there and I was talking to a buddy of mine, uh, Jim Mathers.
[00:54:08] Brad: Yeah.
[00:54:08] Aaron: And he’s like, guys, hey, we need, we need to, like, who here wants to be millionaire? Like, let’s make a millionaire club. Let’s do this. You, you’ll be better off. And like, we can help more projects the church is doing.
[00:54:20] Aaron: Yeah. We’ll get people, you know, off of drugs, we’ll help people with human rights or do the thing.
[00:54:23] Brad: Yeah.
[00:54:23] Aaron: And I was like. It never occurred to me.
[00:54:26] Brad: Yeah.
[00:54:27] Aaron: That I could become a millionaire. Mm-hmm. Like it was, it wasn’t even on my like site. Mm-hmm. And I was invited to on the cruise.
[00:54:36] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:54:37] Aaron: Right? And I said, why not?
[00:54:40] Aaron: Why not? Let’s do it. That’s the first time I decided to become a millionaire. And then now I’m like, dude, I want to be a billionaire, but why do I wanna be a billionaire? Right. So I can donate to causes. Because making the odds go up. Exactly. Yeah. I like the odds go up because you first have that goal.
[00:54:55] Brad: Yeah.
[00:54:55] Aaron: And Scientologists generally want to make money. Why?
[00:54:58] Brad: Yeah.
[00:54:59] Aaron: Because we [00:55:00] feel that, at least, I’ll tell you from my standpoint and, and you could share yours, but I want to do something productive. So first of all, my business should be doing something that helps people.
[00:55:09] Brad: Yeah.
[00:55:09] Aaron: So Zula Kitchen, we literally make kitchen products so people have family time together.
[00:55:15] Brad: Yeah.
[00:55:15] Aaron: We’re pro family, pro values.
[00:55:17] Brad: Yeah. And.
[00:55:19] Aaron: That helps people.
[00:55:20] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:55:20] Aaron: Like this lemon squeezer, bro, it’s gonna help your life. You’re, you’re gonna be a happy person once you squeeze the lemon, bro. Like, I, I, I’m promising, I’m serious. You should take that one with you. But first, the, the, the, the, the, the activity makes money.
[00:55:33] Brad: Yeah.
[00:55:33] Aaron: Because it helps people.
[00:55:34] Brad: Yeah.
[00:55:35] Aaron: But then that money should go also to helping your community, because if your community’s not doing well, you’re not doing well. And I, since that time, like first I said, Hey, I’m responsible for my child. Mm-hmm. But now I’m responsible for my community. I’m responsible for my city.
[00:55:46] Aaron: Mm-hmm. I’m responsible somehow or another in a way that I maybe I don’t understand yet, but the state, the United States. Yeah. Somehow, like there’s not another person. Right. There’s such a flip from like, someone else is gonna do [00:56:00] it to I’m gonna do it. Yeah. And I’m always fighting to go to like, I’m gonna do it because it’s a, it’s a fight.
[00:56:04] Aaron: You have to sell yourself on that idea. Yeah. Because you think like, well, this person’s gonna handle it. This person, Elon will do it. It, yeah. Elon’s gonna do it. Yeah. And so President’s gonna do it. I don’t know. Yeah. Whoever, yeah, whoever someone’s gonna do it. And, and I feel like. When you move out of that
[00:56:19] Brad: mm-hmm.
[00:56:19] Aaron: There’s no way that you think you’re gonna have a massive, massive, huge impact unless you’re either huge influencer reaching billions through something. Yeah. Some messages, books, something.
[00:56:30] Brad: Yeah. Yeah.
[00:56:31] Aaron: Or you’re gonna be a billionaire. Yeah. Like, you’re either gonna reach
[00:56:34] Brad: Yep.
[00:56:34] Aaron: You, your message, or you’re gonna reach with money through activity that you find successful.
[00:56:38] Brad: That’s right.
[00:56:39] Aaron: And I, and, and I believe in charity because when you look at, for example, I, I don’t even wanna mention another charity, but let’s say I’ve looked at charities
[00:56:47] Brad: Yeah.
[00:56:48] Aaron: And sometimes the money
[00:56:49] Brad: Yeah.
[00:56:50] Aaron: That they have. Mm-hmm. This is well-known charities. Okay. The contribution that actually Elon Musk just posted about it and he said there’s this charity that he was following [00:57:00] dollars that go to, the activities they talk about are like, 5%.
[00:57:02] Brad: It’s terrible.
[00:57:03] Aaron: So imagine
[00:57:04] Brad: terrible.
[00:57:05] Aaron: You put in
[00:57:05] Brad: Yeah.
[00:57:06] Aaron: $10,000 and 500 Go, go to the activity.
[00:57:09] Brad: Yeah.
[00:57:09] Aaron: And when you look at the church, there’s go,
[00:57:11] Brad: so Eric, Eric Trump was, was investigated for this Yeah. After 2020. Yeah. Like after the lost election. And his, he had like an incredibly good track record of like his charities passing through most of the money.
[00:57:24] Brad: Yeah. But the incredibly good number was like 75% of their money. Mm-hmm. Actually went to And 20. Oh, that’s that’s
[00:57:29] Aaron: very
[00:57:29] Brad: good. Just got eaten up.
[00:57:30] Aaron: No, that’s very good. Like 7000% is actually good.
[00:57:32] Brad: Yeah. Yeah.
[00:57:33] Aaron: So
[00:57:33] Brad: yeah,
[00:57:33] Aaron: there was one, and I, and I won’t quote it, I’ll have to find it to show it. Yeah. But there’s a, a, a church one that it’s over 90%.
[00:57:40] Aaron: Okay. Like
[00:57:41] Brad: yeah.
[00:57:42] Aaron: It’s all going to the activity. And there’s other ones that have not a non-church, like you’re talking publicly known, well raised institutions that have less than 10% gonna the charity.
[00:57:51] Brad: Yeah.
[00:57:52] Aaron: So
[00:57:52] Brad: like to the doing the thing that they actually claim that.
[00:57:55] Aaron: Correct.
[00:57:55] Brad: It’s all
[00:57:55] Aaron: about doing. Correct.
[00:57:56] Aaron: It’s like admin, you pay salaries, you pay advertising, you pay this, and at the end, like [00:58:00] save the children, I don’t know, I don’t even know that’s the name of, or water, whatever.
[00:58:03] Brad: Yes.
[00:58:03] Aaron: Save the blah. And then it’s like the children received 5% of the money raised. Yeah. And you go like. How is that possible?
[00:58:09] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:58:10] Aaron: That’s like sick.
[00:58:11] Brad: Yeah.
[00:58:11] Aaron: There we should be intolerant of that.
[00:58:12] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:58:13] Aaron: We should say no, that’s that. That cannot happen.
[00:58:15] Brad: Yeah.
[00:58:15] Aaron: We need to be, but if you’re not at 50%, that’s something’s seriously wrong.
[00:58:18] Brad: Yeah.
[00:58:19] Aaron: Like 50% is already it, it’s pretty intense. Like you’re saying 75% that’s, that’s there. ’cause you do have to have like payroll and you have to blah, you have to whatever and advertise.
[00:58:28] Aaron: But like, dude, when you’re at 5%, that’s embarrassing. That’s like, that’s really bad. It probably should be illegal to some degree. Like that’s that’s really
[00:58:34] Brad: Yeah.
[00:58:34] Aaron: Sick.
[00:58:35] Brad: Yeah.
[00:58:35] Aaron: Like you raise all this money for, we get controversial here, but like all the money raised for like Haiti. Yeah. All the money raised for like the Hawaii victims or, and then you go in, like you look at those charity and
[00:58:45] Brad: my stable a is like if it’s going overseas
[00:58:48] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:58:49] Aaron: You,
[00:58:49] Brad: the people are supposed to get that money. You’re not getting that
[00:58:51] Aaron: money. It’s tough. It’s very tough.
[00:58:52] Brad: Yeah.
[00:58:53] Aaron: So anyway. Chances of becoming a billionaire.
[00:58:56] Brad: Yeah.
[00:58:56] Aaron: If you have a charity you believe in
[00:58:58] Brad: Yeah.
[00:58:59] Aaron: And you think your [00:59:00] money can make a difference. Yeah. Then you, at least for me.
[00:59:02] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:59:03] Aaron: I want to make money so I can give money.
[00:59:05] Aaron: That’s
[00:59:05] Brad: right.
[00:59:05] Aaron: Of course for my family. For my future, for in, for what I wanna do. Like I, I wanna put something, I put money behind it. Yeah. I wanna make a new product, dude, I, I wanna build some manufacturing. Yeah. Okay, good. I, let’s have put some money and put something together. I wanna have a brand. I wanna, I was like, oh, I wanna have a coffee brand.
[00:59:20] Aaron: I bought a coffee brand. I wanna be like, you can do more things when you have money. Yeah. And you get inspired to do things when you’re inspired, of course. But you can get inspired generally when you’re following a path.
[00:59:29] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[00:59:30] Aaron: It, if you’re following some sort of higher power, some sort of higher belief, some, some push and you have a charity you believe in
[00:59:36] Brad: mm-hmm.
[00:59:37] Aaron: Your chances go up. Yeah. And if it’s psychology, they go up like a lot. Yeah.
[00:59:40] Brad: So, yeah. ’cause it, it goes backed up with actual, like, data that is useful and you can use to actually get something done.
[00:59:47] Aaron: Yeah.
[00:59:48] Brad: Yeah.
[00:59:48] Aaron: No, I know a guy who’s worth probably a billion or two. Yeah. Not a Scientologist.
[00:59:52] Brad: Yeah.
[00:59:52] Aaron: And, uh, we’re talking about donations and stuff and he’s like, he doesn’t believe in donations.
[00:59:57] Brad: Wow.
[00:59:58] Aaron: He tried to do a [01:00:00] donation, uh, uh, in the country’s app. And, uh, he gave all this money and. It was basically wasted.
[01:00:07] Brad: Wow.
[01:00:07] Aaron: And, uh, he didn’t see the result. And he is like, I change people’s lives and I hire them in my business. He was like, I think he has three, 4,000 employees. And so like, he’s like, I’ll change the world by business.
[01:00:18] Brad: Wow.
[01:00:19] Aaron: But like, he doesn’t do charities because he’s tried it. He is like, dude, I, I him. Yeah. He wants to change someone’s life by giving them a job more than like,
[01:00:27] Brad: yeah, yeah.
[01:00:28] Aaron: Okay. Feed them in a suitcase. We’ll
[01:00:29] Brad: do a
[01:00:29] Aaron: job.
[01:00:29] Brad: A job is, you know, paying, paying somebody $20 because they worked is more valuable to them than $20.
[01:00:35] Brad: A hundred percent. For, for nothing.
[01:00:36] Aaron: I agree. A thousand.
[01:00:38] Brad: Yeah,
[01:00:38] Aaron: I
[01:00:38] Brad: agree. A hundred. It’s actually more valuable to the person do have done the work.
[01:00:41] Aaron: Yes.
[01:00:42] Brad: Yeah. Because then they actually feel good about the money they got. Yeah. It’s like, it’s not dirty otherwise. It’s like this weird, dirty thing.
[01:00:47] Aaron: Yep.
[01:00:47] Brad: Yeah.
[01:00:48] Aaron: I ha I have to talk about China right now.
[01:00:50] Brad: Okay. Let’s do it.
[01:00:52] Aaron: You know who all the factory work, like at least the majority of factory workers. I don’t know if that’s a fact fact, but at least like in factories that [01:01:00] I work in.
[01:01:00] Brad: Yeah.
[01:01:00] Aaron: And I’ll be like, Hey, I want to go see their, like, show me the video. Majority, mm-hmm. Are elderly.
[01:01:08] Brad: Oh, wow.
[01:01:11] Aaron: The majority are elderly.
[01:01:11] Aaron: Wow. Like on, on an assembly line.
[01:01:13] Brad: Yeah.
[01:01:14] Aaron: They’re old, old people,
[01:01:16] Brad: grandmas. Oh wow.
[01:01:16] Aaron: A lot of grandmas
[01:01:18] Brad: really?
[01:01:18] Aaron: They’re work. Yeah, they’re working online. They’re doing this. They’re attaching, blah. They’re like this Frother probably Grandma touched it. Put this thing like together, like put the thing, put the, like the clip on the little thing like Yeah, there’s a little ribbon here, but guess what?
[01:01:30] Aaron: It’s not Social security. It’s not a giveaway.
[01:01:33] Brad: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[01:01:35] Aaron: Like, I dunno, this may be controversial. I dunno if we need to cut it or not, but like
[01:01:39] Brad: No, no, no. It’s controversial. That’s why we’re keeping
[01:01:41] Aaron: that, because the point is like. You could give re like retirees. Mm-hmm. I think their lives are ending.
[01:01:48] Aaron: Who’s more grumpy than, than the guys?
[01:01:50] Brad: Yeah.
[01:01:50] Aaron: Going and like going to the place to collect my social security Check. My, this.
[01:01:54] Brad: Yeah.
[01:01:54] Aaron: It, it’s, it’s like they, they,
[01:01:56] Brad: dude,
[01:01:57] Aaron: so Grum, listen to
[01:01:57] Brad: this. So listen to this,
[01:01:58] Aaron: these grandmas, bro, they’re like, [01:02:00] they’re change, they’re cha that grandma
[01:02:02] Brad: mm-hmm.
[01:02:02] Aaron: That worked on this frother mm-hmm.
[01:02:04] Aaron: Is making people happy. ’cause they have foamed milk. Yeah. They have protein. They have this dude. They’re happy.
[01:02:08] Brad: Yeah.
[01:02:08] Aaron: But when I’m old, I wanna be working on something. I don’t wanna just be at home. Like, literally watch TV 18 hours a day. Yeah.
[01:02:13] Brad: It’s miserable
[01:02:14] Aaron: that it’s not good. Yeah.
[01:02:16] Brad: So my wife’s uncle, uh, when was this?
[01:02:22] Brad: I think it was says 25th, two days ago on her birthday actually. Mm-hmm. When you see my wife tell her happy birthday, uh, her uncle died. Hmm. That same day, five hours before he died, they put him in an assisted living facility.
[01:02:40] Aaron: What?
[01:02:41] Brad: And he dies.
[01:02:43] Aaron: Who was this?
[01:02:44] Brad: I, it was my wife’s uncle. Yeah.
[01:02:47] Aaron: How old?
[01:02:48] Brad: He was older, but he was like sixties, old sixties.
[01:02:52] Brad: Not, not very old. Not crazy old. Not crazy old. Like late, not crazy old. Yeah.
[01:02:56] Aaron: Wow.
[01:02:56] Brad: Boom. Does, yeah.
[01:02:57] Aaron: 24 hours.
[01:02:59] Brad: No less [01:03:00] than 24 hours. Now he, he had ongoing
[01:03:03] Aaron: stuff,
[01:03:03] Brad: whatever stuff, but it wasn’t like immediately terminal. It wasn’t like, Hey, you got like days left to live. It was supposed to be like months to years.
[01:03:12] Brad: Yeah. Right. Put him in assisted. He’d been living with his wife. They,
[01:03:16] Aaron: and was it, was he, was he doing like, work around the house? He’s doing this, he had, you know,
[01:03:19] Brad: no presume, I presume I, I don’t know those details, but I know he’s put in, boom, they put him in the hospice, that assisted living and that, and hospice didn’t do anything wrong.
[01:03:27] Brad: Like he just literally for
[01:03:28] Aaron: sure
[01:03:28] Brad: ConEd out. Boom.
[01:03:29] Aaron: It’s all done.
[01:03:30] Brad: Like literally. Well, who
[01:03:31] Aaron: am,
[01:03:31] Brad: who am I? Who am I work with? Five hours later.
[01:03:33] Aaron: Wow, dude.
[01:03:34] Brad: Yeah, so for me, I’m, I’m just like, like one of a Scientology idea concept, right. Is people have to have a game. You take somebody’s game away.
[01:03:45] Aaron: Yeah. You could check that out by the way, uh, Scientology Fundamentals of Thought.
[01:03:47] Aaron: That’s right. You go to Scientology tv.
[01:03:49] Brad: Yeah.
[01:03:49] Aaron: Go to Scientology. Fundamentals of Thought.
[01:03:50] Brad: Oh yeah. There’s videos
[01:03:51] Aaron: on that dvd. Yeah. It’s the full film is on there and it talks about that. Yeah. Any, any game is better than no game.
[01:03:56] Brad: That’s, yeah. Any game is better than no game. Yeah. So you take somebody’s, you go put [01:04:00] them in a no game situation, a no game condition.
[01:04:02] Brad: Right. And they’re done, you know, pretty wild,
[01:04:08] Aaron: crazy.
[01:04:09] Brad: Pretty wild. Yeah. Okay. So on, so on you, so we covered the chances of becoming a billionaire.
[01:04:14] Aaron: Yeah.
[01:04:15] Brad: You, I want to ask about the donation piece.
[01:04:19] Aaron: Mm-hmm.
[01:04:19] Brad: Right. So this is, this is definitely a thing that people I think don’t understand. ’cause it’s a foreign concept to most people that you would actually work in order to give your money away.
[01:04:31] Brad: It’s not a foreign concept to me.
[01:04:32] Aaron: Right, right. Not now anyway.
[01:04:34] Brad: Not now, but, but if you think about it, like you actually. You, if you’re going to try to like get a Ferrari or something, you’re actually working to give your money away to the Ferrari dealership.
[01:04:44] Aaron: Sure.
[01:04:44] Brad: And you get something in exchange, but when you give your money away to a charity, you also get something in exchange.
[01:04:50] Brad: Right.
[01:04:50] Aaron: Absolutely.
[01:04:51] Brad: In my opinion. You, you actually get pride.
[01:04:53] Aaron: Absolutely.
[01:04:53] Brad: Like for me, like I’m, and I know you are, people are very proud of what they do to help. So the, the other thing [01:05:00] is on
[01:05:00] Aaron: a more tactical level
[01:05:01] Brad: Yeah, yeah.
[01:05:03] Aaron: You also are helping your own future.
[01:05:05] Brad: Mm-hmm. That’s right.
[01:05:06] Aaron: Right? Because
[01:05:07] Brad: Yeah, selfishly.
[01:05:09] Aaron: Selfishly,
[01:05:09] Brad: yeah.
[01:05:10] Aaron: Like if, if there is not, call it law and order piece, whatever. Your life is in danger.
[01:05:18] Brad: Uh, how about people who aren’t on drugs and are able to be employed? Like, like we, I don’t know what actually, we, we never talked about this, but we have a very strict drug free workplace policy. Mm-hmm.
[01:05:28] Brad: Mm-hmm. Like somebody gets caught like smoking weed, like, Hey, you violate the policy, you’re gone like, it’s like zero tolerance. Mm-hmm. Because I mean, we do dangerous shit. Like somebody’s like high and they go to cut some, they cut their hand off. Oh, wow. It’s a huge deal. That’s a,
[01:05:40] Aaron: that’s a big deal.
[01:05:42] Brad: Yeah.
[01:05:42] Brad: Yeah, dude, that happens on construction sites all the time. Wow. Absolutely. So anyways, we’re just No, no nonsense with it. Yeah. Drug free world, which, which is a huge, like the, I personally, that’s a huge, uh, thing that I like to support is their campaign is to end [01:06:00] drug use. Yeah. Like, it’s really just eliminate drugs.
[01:06:03] Brad: Mm-hmm. From the face drug free world. Drug free world. Yeah. It’s pretty clear what it is. Yeah,
[01:06:07] Aaron: yeah,
[01:06:07] Brad: yeah. But it’s like that, like just selfishly, okay. I would like to have people who I can hire to do a job. And pay them really well to do that job and not have to watch them to do drugs and like send ’em the drug testing every year.
[01:06:20] Brad: So like Absolutely. You know what I mean?
[01:06:22] Aaron: Yeah. So,
[01:06:22] Brad: okay. Sorry. Sorry I interrupted
[01:06:23] Aaron: you. No, but, but that’s the point. Like if you help someone, you’re also helping yourself.
[01:06:29] Brad: Yeah.
[01:06:29] Aaron: If there’s, so it’s, it’s pride, but it’s also like, dude, it’s, it’s, this is my community.
[01:06:37] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[01:06:37] Aaron: This is my planet.
[01:06:38] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[01:06:39] Aaron: Or if, if there’s people get so upset and they, you know, bomb each other, we send nuclear bombs that your life is over, all your friends’ lives are over.
[01:06:44] Aaron: Like, we could be gone in a second.
[01:06:46] Brad: Yeah.
[01:06:47] Aaron: This is something where people don’t look at it enough, but like you might think the biggest problem in the world is tariffs. So you might think the biggest problem in the world is blah. Or you might, I don’t know, human trafficking, terrible. Uh, drug use terrible.[01:07:00]
[01:07:01] Aaron: But the biggest thing that threatens us all right now
[01:07:02] Brad: Yeah.
[01:07:03] Aaron: Is a nuclear bomb.
[01:07:03] Brad: That’s right.
[01:07:04] Aaron: Hydrogen bomb. Yep. Whatever. Bomb. Atomic bomb like in a second.
[01:07:09] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[01:07:09] Aaron: We can all be gun.
[01:07:10] Brad: Yep.
[01:07:11] Aaron: And we all need to be behind that issue because Yeah. There needs to be some sort of like diarment or like Yeah. What, like, there there’s no use to have that around.
[01:07:21] Aaron: Yeah. ’cause nobody wants That’s right.
[01:07:22] Brad: That’s
[01:07:22] right.
[01:07:23] Aaron: Nobody if if we’re all debt, like nobody won the game. That that’s, that’s that’s bad.
[01:07:27] Brad: Yeah.
[01:07:27] Aaron: So like, uh, I don’t even know how we got into that topic, but like Oh, so, so donations.
[01:07:31] Brad: Yeah.
[01:07:31] Aaron: So if we like, get people to just chill out a little bit.
[01:07:36] Brad: Yeah.
[01:07:36] Aaron: Right.
[01:07:37] Aaron: Realize that life could be improved
[01:07:39] Brad: to chill out a little,
[01:07:40] Aaron: you know, it’s like just chill. Like get a little bit less serious. Right. Like guys, you know,
[01:07:44] Brad: chill out a little bit without drugs. ’cause a lot of people are like, they’re like, why don’t people just chill out? It’s like, go, go smoke some weed. It’s like, no, no, no, bro.
[01:07:50] Aaron: I know.
[01:07:50] Brad: Because that doesn’t actually lead you to be more chill and water. No,
[01:07:53] Aaron: no, no. It’s true. It doesn’t.
[01:07:54] Brad: Yeah,
[01:07:54] Aaron: that’s true. And you could be, you know, chill lifeless as well. That’s
[01:07:58] Brad: right. Yeah.
[01:07:59] Aaron: Chill
[01:07:59] doesn’t
[01:07:59] Brad: a [01:08:00] piece of wood.
[01:08:00] Aaron: Yeah. Yeah. Just mean, just less worrying and less like destruction of stuff. I don’t know.
[01:08:07] Aaron: Right? Yeah. Yeah. Proposing that, right? Like, um. Any donations, I believe that’s going in that direction.
[01:08:14] Brad: Yeah.
[01:08:15] Aaron: That’s watching out for myself. Yeah. And for my family and for everybody that I know, all my friends. That’s because of course, right now we’re not at threat of that, so it seems, but how much do you know?
[01:08:28] Aaron: Do, do you see? Yeah. And, and, and, and this is, it’s maybe not like a super popular topic, but it’s something that, in fact, the name of this podcast Right. Don’t do nothing like when we’re talking about nuclear war
[01:08:39] Brad: mm-hmm.
[01:08:40] Aaron: This is doing something. We’re gonna talk about it. We’re gonna say, listen, there’s always a possible way of resolution.
[01:08:45] Aaron: We can talk it out. There’s something that could be done. We do not need to be killing each other.
[01:08:50] Brad: Yeah.
[01:08:50] Aaron: Or like, it’s just not ones.
[01:08:53] Brad: Can you, can you, can you tell me in annuity at a time? ’cause I caught pro, I was a little bit in and out, but you, you spoke at Tire Con, which was [01:09:00] awesome.
[01:09:00] Aaron: Yeah. Yeah.
[01:09:00] Brad: Did you record your, your talk?
[01:09:02] Aaron: I didn’t record it, but maybe.
[01:09:04] Brad: No, I don’t think they’re, that’s Maria. I,
[01:09:05] Aaron: they never heard.
[01:09:06] Brad: Yeah. Oh, well, I’ll ask, but
[01:09:07] Aaron: yeah,
[01:09:07] Brad: I brought my video guys in. I recorded mine, so my speech will be on YouTube. Nice. But yours, you, you get, you told an incredible story during, during your talk about, uh, your lawsuit Yeah.
[01:09:18] Brad: And how you used communication
[01:09:20] Aaron: Yes.
[01:09:21] Brad: To resolve that.
[01:09:22] Aaron: Yep.
[01:09:22] Brad: Can you explain that real quick? Because this is just like
[01:09:24] Aaron: Yeah. And this is public info. Um, we were su you could check it out. There’s like a docket. There’s this whole thing. There’s a company.
[01:09:30] Brad: Yeah.
[01:09:30] Aaron: Um, and they have a patent for a two in one lemon squeezer.
[01:09:33] Brad: It’s not
[01:09:33] Aaron: this lemon. No, that’s not that one. Yeah. It’s a one.
[01:09:35] Brad: This, this is an un patented lemon
[01:09:36] Aaron: squeezer. Yeah. It’s un patented. Yeah.
[01:09:37] Brad: No royalties on this
[01:09:38] Aaron: one. Yeah. So, you know, um, we, uh, had started the company right into the kitchen and that was our first product. We did this lemon squeezer, and it was a lot of research to see like, what’s the best lemon squeezer that exists on the planet.
[01:09:50] Brad: Yeah.
[01:09:50] Aaron: Um, and this was the best, like I, I got samples from, I don’t know, maybe seven, eight factories.
[01:09:56] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[01:09:56] Aaron: Three or four models each, like [01:10:00] bought some on Amazon. The 2 0 1 lemon squeezer was the most efficient.
[01:10:04] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[01:10:05] Aaron: The best looking cheapest. It was like it won all, it checked all the boxes. So I said, I will bring this market, this product to the top of the market.
[01:10:12] Aaron: Mm-hmm. That was my goal. I dunno if it was gonna happen. It ended up to be true. Yeah. They bring it to the top, but the top that, that model existed in the market mm-hmm. It was like number 11 and like top sold and also number 20 and also 50 and also 70. Like there was a lot of people selling that model already.
[01:10:26] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[01:10:27] Aaron: And so for me, when at that time doing patent research is like, look, if there’s a bunch of people selling it, it’s unlikely to be patented. That was the extent of my patent research. I’m like, what? But you know, it’s actually not a bad way to research it because honestly, like a patent search costs like 2,500 bucks from a lawyer and like they still may not find it.
[01:10:42] Aaron: Like, they don’t guarantee that it’s not patented just ’cause you pay them.
[01:10:45] Brad: Yeah.
[01:10:46] Aaron: So, you know, if, if there’s like a bunch of people selling it, it should mean it’s un patented.
[01:10:51] Brad: Yeah.
[01:10:52] Aaron: Should,
[01:10:52] Brad: yeah.
[01:10:53] Aaron: And that’s what I believed. And so we started selling and uh, 2015 and. [01:11:00] 2017, two years after, uh, we were already the number one bestseller for this lemon squeezer.
[01:11:04] Aaron: It took us about a year and a half maybe to get number one.
[01:11:06] Brad: Yeah.
[01:11:07] Aaron: We’re number one,
[01:11:07] Brad: number one Lemon squeezer
[01:11:09] Aaron: on No, Amazon. On
[01:11:09] Brad: Amazon,
[01:11:09] Aaron: yeah. On Amazon. In the US market. Yeah. Which is the biggest market. So probably number one in the world Yeah. On e-commerce.
[01:11:15] Brad: Yeah.
[01:11:15] Aaron: And so, uh, we were given a cease and deist letter to stop selling it.
[01:11:21] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[01:11:21] Aaron: And, um,
[01:11:23] Brad: which I’m sure you promptly ignored.
[01:11:25] Aaron: Like, like I would Well, yeah. So, so I got it and I go, what do you mean patented? Like what everyone and their mother is selling this on Amazon?
[01:11:31] Brad: Yeah.
[01:11:32] Aaron: Like, how could it be patented? It makes no sense, this and that. I’m going into like, oh my gosh, what are you talking about?
[01:11:36] Aaron: Whatever. And so there was, um, a, a, a bit of that, and then I hired a law firm in Miami.
[01:11:41] Brad: Yeah.
[01:11:42] Aaron: Um, and then they looked at it, they checked out the stuff and they said, listen, just tell them. That there’s a law called like prior art.
[01:11:51] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[01:11:52] Aaron: I don’t know the name of the law or name of the clause. I don’t know.
[01:11:54] Aaron: But the point is, if, if the product existed in the past
[01:11:57] Brad: mm-hmm.
[01:11:57] Aaron: It, it, let’s say I invented, [01:12:00] um, this frog thing, like this frog instrument. Okay. And I made it and I said, and I found for a patent for this
[01:12:05] Brad: that was invented by the Aztecs.
[01:12:06] Aaron: Yeah, it was. But like, let’s just say, like I say, I’m the mentor.
[01:12:10] Brad: Yeah.
[01:12:10] Brad: Yeah.
[01:12:10] Aaron: And the United States Patent and Trademark Office approves it. Yeah. They say This is approved. This is your patent.
[01:12:17] Brad: Yeah.
[01:12:17] Aaron: Okay. And that person sues me for this frog. Yeah. ’cause I am selling it now.
[01:12:23] Brad: Yeah.
[01:12:24] Aaron: If I can prove that someone else sold this frog before they got the patent.
[01:12:30] Brad: Yeah.
[01:12:31] Aaron: That’s not them like someone else.
[01:12:33] Aaron: Then I invalidate their patent.
[01:12:34] Brad: Mm.
[01:12:34] Aaron: And I say, your patent is not valid. And I would win in the court. Mm. Right. Because they didn’t invent it. It already, it already existed. Yeah. They didn’t invent something ’cause it already existed.
[01:12:42] Brad: Yeah.
[01:12:43] Aaron: So, um, the lawyer told me, Hey. We found some prior art.
[01:12:49] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[01:12:51] Aaron: And, you know, you should tell them, Hey, you have prior art and, uh, you know, back off and, uh, you’re gonna keep telling her [01:13:00] something.
[01:13:00] Brad: Yeah.
[01:13:00] Aaron: So I did what the lawyer said, and then I got back like, no, this and that. You need to do it. And I, and then I talked to ’em. They said, no, tell ’em, don’t worry. And they looked up the history of the company and they said like, this company doesn’t sue.
[01:13:11] Brad: Yeah.
[01:13:12] Aaron: They don’t sue. It’s not, they’re not litigious in nature,
[01:13:15] Brad: wasn’t it?
[01:13:16] Brad: Something like they’d never sue, like,
[01:13:17] Aaron: I think like two in their history and they’re like 50 years old.
[01:13:19] Brad: Wow. Wow.
[01:13:19] Aaron: Like they don’t sue.
[01:13:20] Brad: Yeah.
[01:13:21] Aaron: And so the law firm’s like, don’t worry. Could, you could blow ’em off because they’re not gonna sue.
[01:13:25] Brad: Yeah.
[01:13:26] Aaron: And uh, and I followed the advice.
[01:13:28] Brad: Yeah.
[01:13:28] Aaron: And then, so the guys came back and they actually filed the lawsuit on me.
[01:13:31] Brad: Yeah.
[01:13:32] Aaron: And then I was like, what? And they said, well, don’t worry ’cause they’re not gonna serve the lawsuit. Something. And they served the lawsuit.
[01:13:38] Brad: Yeah.
[01:13:38] Aaron: And then it’s like, you’re gonna be in court in 45 days Yeah. Or something like that. And I was like, oh my gosh. And then, anyway, at one point I, like, I realized this was actually at the church.
[01:13:45] Aaron: I was kind of talking about it, trying to resolve it. And then I, I’m like, you know what? I need to reach out to these guys.
[01:13:50] Brad: Yeah.
[01:13:50] Aaron: And talk to ’em directly. I’m talking to this lawyer. They’re talking to their lawyer. In fact, the lawyers tell you you cannot talk to them directly.
[01:13:56] Brad: Yeah.
[01:13:57] Aaron: Like, do not, I, ’cause I told my mom, I’m like, dude, I want to talk to reach out.[01:14:00]
[01:14:00] Aaron: Don’t do it.
[01:14:00] Brad: Yeah.
[01:14:01] Aaron: That’s gonna get you in worse trouble.
[01:14:02] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[01:14:04] Aaron: I’m like, no, I’m gonna do it anyway.
[01:14:05] Brad: Yeah.
[01:14:06] Aaron: Called the guys. I left voicemails, I called everyone. I, I messaged everyone on LinkedIn. I, I like reached out to everybody in that company.
[01:14:11] Brad: Yeah.
[01:14:12] Aaron: And, uh, eventually got a person to respond to me.
[01:14:14] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[01:14:15] Aaron: And I offered to help them, you know, we were number one on Amazon. They’ve had that pat. Oh. So lemme tell you why, why we got sued. That, that’s important.
[01:14:22] Brad: Oh yeah. Yeah.
[01:14:23] Aaron: So this product, it was owned by a company, uh, the patent was owned by a company called.
[01:14:28] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[01:14:30] Aaron: And that company got acquired, I believe, in 2017.
[01:14:34] Aaron: Hmm. And so with the acquisition came the patent. So the old company was not enforcing their rights, so everybody was selling. Oh, wow. And that’s why the reason everybody was selling is because these guys were not enforcing their patent. Yeah. So when the other guys got this thing and they said, Hey, this person has our, they’re using our patent ’cause it’s now theirs.
[01:14:52] Aaron: Yeah. Their intervention. Yeah. And so then that’s where that all happened. Right.
[01:14:55] Brad: Wow.
[01:14:56] Aaron: Normally you wouldn’t have anybody selling ’cause they, they enforce it.
[01:14:59] Brad: Yeah.
[01:14:59] Aaron: And so I wouldn’t, [01:15:00] you know, but then that changed and the ownership changed, and then those guys were enforcing it.
[01:15:03] Brad: Wow.
[01:15:03] Aaron: Like, okay, so I’m Oh, I am, you know?
[01:15:05] Brad: Yeah.
[01:15:06] Aaron: Okay. So, uh, yeah. Reach out to all of them and, uh, one guy calls me on one Friday, like, we’re closing up. I’m like, I don’t know if I’m, my business is gonna disappear this blah, whatever. And, uh. I told ’em, let me help you we’re number one on Amazon. They’ve had that patent and that product since 2007.
[01:15:21] Aaron: And they were like number 75th best Sold some something low. Yeah. They weren’t the top.
[01:15:24] Brad: Yeah.
[01:15:24] Aaron: So I said, listen, I’ll help you with yours, I’ll help you with all your other products. Like, don’t worry, I’ll come out there like I, I wanna settle. I’ll help you guys. And after we spoke up, probably for like an hour.
[01:15:33] Aaron: Yeah. And at the end of that conversation, the guy goes like, I, I’m so surprised. I’m like, whatcha are you surprised about? He said that You’re so nice. I’m like, oh, well what? Why is that surprising? He said, oh, because my lawyer told me that this guy is like rude. They won’t listen. They’re not gonna settle.
[01:15:56] Aaron: They’re gonna do this and you need to make an example out of them. These guys like this. And it was just, [01:16:00] just badmouthing is hard. Yeah. Just like the other guy was like, the lawyers are making us fight.
[01:16:04] Brad: Yep.
[01:16:05] Aaron: And so, ’cause
[01:16:06] Brad: what lawyers get paid on,
[01:16:07] Aaron: they get paid on the lawsuits. They get paid on the, on the fighting, on the, the, on the, the
[01:16:12] Brad: problem.
[01:16:12] Aaron: And it’s not all lawyers. Right. Some lawyers. I, I bet you,
[01:16:16] Brad: yeah.
[01:16:16] Aaron: Let’s say if I hire a hundred law firms
[01:16:18] Brad: mm-hmm.
[01:16:18] Aaron: I don’t know how many, maybe half would do this, and then half would, let’s say, resolve. I don’t know. Right. I’ve worked with some good law firms, but that one in particular,
[01:16:24] Brad: I, I’d say probably, probably 10 to 15% would actually go like a, like the, the quick route of just like boom, resolve it actually like quickly.
[01:16:31] Brad: Yeah. Yeah.
[01:16:31] Aaron: But they exist. For sure.
[01:16:32] Brad: They do exist. Yeah.
[01:16:33] Aaron: Uh, so anyway, that’s what happened. Yeah. And so we ended up going there. Great meeting with the guys. They’re all super nice this blah. My wife, uh, Whitney was pregnant with our second baby at that time.
[01:16:44] Brad: Yeah.
[01:16:44] Aaron: So I brought her with me. So actually the pregnancy go, they were like, oh my gosh, you’re expecting this.
[01:16:49] Aaron: And they apologized so many times. I’m so sorry I put you guys through this and this and the baby. Yeah. And we’re like, no, no worries. It’s all good. And then, you know, we did this, we did the settlement and everything. Yeah. It was very beautiful. Those guys are really great. [01:17:00] Yeah. And, and I don’t blame them.
[01:17:01] Aaron: Right. Like my lawyer really gave me bad advice.
[01:17:04] Brad: Yeah.
[01:17:04] Aaron: Right. And so, um, it would’ve been way, way better if. We would’ve had a different lawyer or contact the direct and just be like, Hey, we’re gonna settle. Yeah. At that time it didn’t seem like an option. I, I felt like my back against was against the wall because I had just quit my job.
[01:17:17] Brad: Yeah.
[01:17:18] Aaron: I had quit my job. Like we’ve been selling on Amazon for two, two years. Oh, wow. Just quit my job, have a second baby on the way. This is my only source of income. The lemon squeezing was probably 80% of our income at that time. O so I, it would’ve been, everything would’ve been shut. It was like,
[01:17:29] Brad: yeah.
[01:17:30] Aaron: It was tough.
[01:17:30] Aaron: Wow. Uh, but it was settled and we continued.
[01:17:35] Brad: Okay. So you mentioned something that the church helped you. Like what? That that’s not gonna be real to, to most people when are watching
[01:17:42] Aaron: this. I know, I know. But that’s why I’m just saying like, at the end of the day, I, I, the way I look at the church
[01:17:54] Brad: Yeah.
[01:17:54] Aaron: Ology.
[01:17:55] Brad: Yeah.
[01:17:57] Aaron: It’s tools.
[01:17:59] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[01:17:59] Aaron: To [01:18:00] achieve something and a tool is just something that can help you. So like just talking it out with somebody that is a tool.
[01:18:07] Brad: Yeah.
[01:18:07] Aaron: Okay. So like. Tell me about your problem. And someone just tells you and you listen. Mm-hmm. And then they go and solve it. Yes. Maybe the conversation wasn’t the reason, but it is a contributing factor.
[01:18:18] Brad: That’s right.
[01:18:18] Aaron: Right. So it’s just simple. Something as simple as just talking about it could help you see something in a different way. Yeah. And, and that’s all it was. I, I was getting asked some questions and I was getting like, do some steps. Look at it this way, look at it, whatever, whatever the steps were.
[01:18:30] Aaron: And it’s like, and after a while I go, oh my gosh, I know what I need to do. Mm-hmm. And I came, I came up with that realization there. Is it like the church did it? No, no, no. I was there and I was looking for help. And the combination of factors
[01:18:47] Brad: mm-hmm.
[01:18:47] Aaron: Were good enough. Like it was, I dunno, I was lucky enough to think of that moment at that time.
[01:18:53] Aaron: Think of that thought, think of the solution, go and do it. There’s a, there’s a lot of factors that occur. And of course at the end of the day. [01:19:00] I was the one who resolved it. But I would say that I, I, I was assisted to get into a state of looking for solutions mm-hmm. As opposed to being defeated by it.
[01:19:09] Brad: Yeah.
[01:19:09] Aaron: So at the end of the day, you know, that’s a
[01:19:12] Brad: assisted to get into a state of looking for solutions. Yeah. Love that. That’s,
[01:19:16] Aaron: that was that. Could it have happened otherwise? Maybe, but we were like, the day we settled was the day before I was supposed to be in court.
[01:19:23] Brad: Wow.
[01:19:24] Aaron: So if I would’ve been two days later, I would’ve, it would not have worked.
[01:19:28] Brad: Yeah.
[01:19:29] Aaron: Like the timing and it was the time. It all just somehow just worked out and solved itself so perfectly and, and it could have easily gone the other way.
[01:19:38] Brad: Dude, that’s beautiful. Amazing. Good. Well. I think we should wrap. Is there anything else you, this has been beautiful.
[01:19:47] Aaron: Great. No, I mean,
[01:19:47] Brad: it’s been great.
[01:19:48] Aaron: You’re, you’re the, you’re leading here, bro.
[01:19:49] Brad: Yeah.
[01:19:50] Aaron: So you,
[01:19:51] Brad: well, bro, I mean, thank you for sharing your story.
[01:19:55] Aaron: Absolutely.
[01:19:55] Brad: Like, um, I’m, I’m excited to reverse the flow here Yeah. In the near future [01:20:00] for people who, um, you know, if, if somebody’s interested in learning about Scientology, what should they do?
[01:20:09] Aaron: Mm. The number one thing is go and go do a personality test.
[01:20:15] Brad: Yeah.
[01:20:15] Aaron: If you’re anywhere near any church, yeah. Go there and do, I mean, that’s what I did. Like I’m only, I’m only saying the thing that I did. I think that’s like the best,
[01:20:21] Brad: that’s what I did as well, by the
[01:20:22] Aaron: way. Yeah. So like, because it’s your own route, like what is gonna help you? I can’t just, everybody has a different path.
[01:20:29] Aaron: There’s so many things you could do in this, and so. Go and just find out. Just go and walk in and
[01:20:35] Brad: Yeah.
[01:20:36] Aaron: Ask, you know, and hopefully somebody can help you the way that I was helped or whoever it is. And then if it’s, you’re too far, you can’t go, or something like that, you know, go to bridge publications.com, I think, or bridge pub.com, whatever.
[01:20:47] Brad: Yeah.
[01:20:48] Aaron: And buy book like or Or Amazon, yeah. Dietetics on Amazon. That’s what you did, right? Or something? Or Audible. Or Audible actually. Audible,
[01:20:53] Brad: yeah.
[01:20:54] Aaron: So like,
[01:20:54] Brad: yeah.
[01:20:55] Aaron: Read a book.
[01:20:56] Brad: Mm-hmm.
[01:20:56] Aaron: Check out Scientology tv. I dunno, there’s a lot of things, but I think the, the best If you’re anywhere [01:21:00] near, just walk in. Yeah.
[01:21:01] Aaron: It’s like, so open and like
[01:21:02] Brad: Yeah.
[01:21:02] Aaron: Be like, oh, welcome. Like, who are you? Like, okay, come in. Whatever.
[01:21:05] Brad: Yeah. So they’ll be like, hi, who are you? Yeah. Like, that’s how it was. My, like I walked in, I’m like, I’m here to do a tour or something. And they’re like, okay, what’s your name? Are you? Yeah,
[01:21:14] Aaron: yeah, yeah.
[01:21:14] Brad: We’ll have to bleep that, but
[01:21:16] Aaron: Exactly.
[01:21:17] Aaron: Gonna be like, okay, we don’t know you, but hey, we’ll, we’ll meet, like, let’s talk like, personality test doesn’t cost anything. Yeah, that’s right. A beginning course is like 50 bucks. Like
[01:21:24] Brad: Yeah. Like, Hey,
[01:21:27] Aaron: check it out. Yeah.
[01:21:29] Brad: Dude, thank you so much. This has been great.
[01:21:31] Aaron: Thank you, brother.
[01:21:31] Brad: Yeah.
[01:21:32] Aaron: Alright.
