I wrote this article in 2011. As I was contemplating the world and what was in it, I was 21 years old at the time. (I added a picture of me around that time that I dug up).
“A day on Earth today; this means a wide range of things to a wide range of people.
To some it means struggling along from 9 to 5 to come home to try to gather their energy for the next day. To some it means the next pay check with which to live a little longer or a little better. To some it means living another day without that so needed paycheck. To some others it means another day living as an unknowing slave, doing what you’ve been doing every day obeying every order from Master, or else.
But a day on earth today surely means a day on earth for Billions. Whether a prosperous executive or a starving worker. Each person is faced with his own difficulties, and his own successes (he hopes). It’s safe to say that one man cannot tell all the myriad of things past or what lies ahead. He knows only what he has been told or what he has come to see.
So, has he been told of the dreams of the wise men of old? Has he been shown creations of art fit for Gods? Has he seen the creation of a life or the union of those creating life?
Or has he been told that there is nothing more than he sees? Has he been told that God doesn’t exist or that if he did he sure wouldn’t bother with likes of him, unfit and disgraceful? Has he been blinded to the beauty of this earth, instead seeing only chaos and ruin? Has he been told that love is corruption and life is suffering?
For both of these men, tomorrow means another day on earth, our earth. This day, the latter knows, will be like just like yesterday. And the prior, has too many times closed his eyes to anything but his next paycheck to pay for the unattainable riches presented him. But there is a third man…
The third man is the man who will not rest until all peoples’ days on earth are filled with freedom. Until that day he has been dreaming of comes true. As he fights day after day, hour after hour, he calls upon those who have been wronged and asks them to make right. He calls upon those who know the vision of a higher world and fight with him to make it come true.
When he calls upon you, say that you will be another third person. You know that another day on earth cannot be another day where Man is denied his freedom. You know that this message cannot reach millions who have been denied the knowledge of the printed page. You can bring the message to them. You can make things better and we will make that long-sought-for goal of a day on earth that we can all be proud of.
A free day on earth.”
